1 starDO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT TAKE YOUR TRAILER OR RV HERE!!!!!!! When I say that my husband and I experienced the most shockingly HORRIFIC customer service of our lives, it is a GROSS understatement. The neglect, belligerence, and apathy demonstrated by the manager and service staff at the ********, ** Camping World location was astonishing. Never have I ever experienced such blatant and willful disregard for a customer.Review fromSteve R

1 starI brought our 2019 Freedom Elite 30FE into Camping World December 3, 2022 for soft floor. Hanover store performed some kind of pressure test showing bubbles but no one can tell me how the water got from the so called slide out bubbles to the floor some 10 feet away. I authorized the work and provided Hanover store a $3000.00 deposit on March 6. Then on March 11 I received an email from Camping World, all material is in and repairs would be started. This sounds to us like everything is moving forward. Then complete silence from Camping World. Despite a sign in Camping World with *************************** claiming to keep me 100% informed which they failed to do. So we drove to Camping World (43 minutes) on April 8 to find out what was happening. *******************, finally came out with some story about having a lot of projects ahead of ours but that the work was going to start up Monday and would be completed in about a week. So we now have been told twice that work was going to start. Then on April 17, I get a call from ******************* telling me the project was more complicated then they originally thought and that it was going to cost about 40K. I ask him about options and he told me that they would charge me for the pressure test and I could pick up the *** I did talk to an Assistance GM over the phone, or so she claimed. She immediately starts pointing the finger at me for not resealing the slide out ever couple of months per the owners manual. My Owners Manual talks about inspecting the shell to include roof, sidewalls, windows, doors, and under carriage. It says inspecting and if chips, cracks or damage is present to then repair or replace. This is a four year old unit of which I have resealed the roof twice and the windows once. Nothing else showed me any signs of needing attention. I recommend not buying anything from Camping World. I would have selected less then 1 star but not an optionReview fromJames H

1 starAS they say on "Lost in Space", "WARNING-WARNING-WARNING-DANGER. A few weeks ago I purchased a new ** from the Camping World in *********. For a year I looked at the pictures and the walk around video of the *** I bought the ** over the phone. When I went to pick it up I was so excited (my wife and I recently retired from ministry) that I believed everything I was told. When we went on our first camping trip I noticed that the rear ladder was not on the ** and the walk around video clearly says there is a rear ladder. The dealership was no help to me (salesman *****) so I called the main customer service person. The *** slogan is (if your not happy, I am not happy, ******). I talked with ******* and after a day she tole me that if I looked at the small print (it took me a magnifying glass) I would see that the legal jargon says the video may not represent the ** that you purchase so there was nothing to be done. I asked to speak with ****** since he was not happy and they refused. That slogan is not true. I want people to know that Camping World will say anything to make the sale but afterwards tough luck. I am not sure who ****** is but he is laughing all the way to the bank along with the staff at camping world. If you are looking for an ** please support the "mom and pop" dealers that are out there. There business depends on customer service. When you get a large dealer like Camping World they could care less. The only reason I gave a 1 star is I had to put something down.Review fromBeverly G

1 starIf I could give them a zero I would. I have never experienced such poor customer service even after I have called cooperate 7 times I am still dealing with trying to get my brand new camper repaired under warranty while getting it back worse each time then I ever dropped it off. This place is a joke. I call every time trying to get an update and they only give my husband a call never returning mine because my husband is a push over and they know it. We purchase this camper last year on 4th of July weekend and it has been the worst purchase/experience of my life for sure!!! Not only when we went to pick it up after a few visits they hit our awning pulling out so we had to leave it for repair...only for the next time we pick it up that our slide out was bowing and they left plaster all over the walls and ceiling so I had to drive it back for repair again. Only now they have to order more panels because they have had to fix the same thing so many times that now the panels need to be replace because of so many staple wholes .when I asked what type of check did they do before having us pick it up as I can tell him they didn't do a walk through the tech said we looked at it like guys do...don't know what they looked at...when I asked corporate if they needed pictures they said no as I was not the only person with this problem!!! You would think after me coming for a year they would stop and take a minute to make sure our camper was right before having us come get it. Now I have to pick up my camper to keep my scheduled mothers day trip and bring it back to get it finished and god knows when I will get it back or if it will come back worse.Review fromJohn W

5 starsApril 2023 traded a Sprinter Van motorhome for a new pull trailer at Camping World, Council Bluffs, Iowa, to get us a bit more room and flexibility. Shane was an energetic, knowledgeable and yet, low pressure sales rep that worked for weeks to find the right unit for us. We made a good deal and it all went smoothly, especially considering our motorhome was worth more than the new trailer. Jay in finance made the paperwork easy as pie with no pressure for extended warranty,
just let us know it was available. Kim got us our check and title promptly as promised. Isaac in parts ordered an Anderson hitch for us and kept us posted on its transit. Techs Drew and Colton were top notch and Sarah in service was right on our hitch install. Our unit was clean as could be. I know several others were involved, too. This was our 7th RV purchase over 35 years and the easiest yet. Was everything perfect, no, but we still give our experience 5 stars.Review fromLawrence L

1 starI paid 45k for a travel trailor there. Within one week the interior fell apart. The battery went bad. And on top of that the book value on said trailor six months later is ****** dollars. I wouldn't buy anything here ever again. On top of that I wanted to schedule warranty work and they said my trailor would sit for six months before they could get the work completed.Review fromAshley K

1 starCAMPING WORLD-********, **. I am only leaving one star due to having too! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE is an understatement.!! Buy something from them and after they get their money and make a sale, they give you no customer service after that! I placed an order for a cabinet for my fish house back in December after realizing they missed it in my build. They said they could order me one for $500.00. I did so, due to wanting the cabinet to match the house. Fast forward 4 months and due to my phone call, I found out it had finally arrived. I drove 1 hour each way to pick it up. Arrived at Camping world ********, ** to find out it was now $601.12 due not the $500 quoted. The guy at the counter didn't know seem to know why it was so much more he said sales taxes....... I paid with my credit card. Now irritated just a bit more...first it was missed on my built and second $100 more than quoted. Then they came out with the cabinet I waited 4 months for to find out the bottom of it was missing and the cabinets didn't even have handles. They said the *** parts guy would call me.....NO CALL... I had to call and leave a message with him the next day.......NO CALL BACK! Then talked to my salesman who was going to talk to him.....NO CALL BACK. Finally contacted higher up to find out he forgot to place the order which makes sense why it took forever to get... Then talked to a manager there stating I just wanted a refund. He promised a phone call back....... NOTHING 5 days later NOTHING... Stuck with a $601.12 cabinet that is incorrect and nothing!! Every time, I call they say they're on a phone call or with a customer and ask for my name. They are screening it. SOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!Review fromAlyssa S

1 starhusband called on a camper Monday morning 4/10 at 930am talks to ***** on the phone asked if he could put a down payment on this camper to hold it until Tuesday afternoon 4/11.He said he couldnt do that okay thats fine, my husband told me to drive out there (47 miles) away to go look and then put a down payment on it, ***** showed me the camper. It was nice and I told him I would like to buy this camper. Can I put a down payment and see what you would give me on my trade-in and get the paperwork rolling. He told me they dont take down payments, but he reassures me, It would be there tomorrow afternoon when we come back out. My husband calls ***** after I leave and told him to start some paperwork. They talked that night making a deal, We are on our way out there 4/11 I look online they raised the price on the camper by ***** dollars. We walk in and ***** tells us we will get it for the price ***** since they started some paperwork Monday, (apparently the camper was a year newer it was a 2018 not 2017) so thats why they raised the ********** the finance guy rejected us said they cant sell the camper for ***** and we would have to pay the *****, while we were there ***** was telling us that someone else was looking at the camper and we cant go see it and they are probably going to buy it so thats the reason why they wouldnt sell it to us for *****. We were there for hours they gave us out the door pricing, we were okay with it, They said they would call us back in the morning,(banks closed. )When they called us back in the morning the numbers changed they went from 4***** to ****** cause they said they forgot the taxes, my husband said no the taxes was on that paperwork. We decided we didnt want it since the prices kept changing and their story kept changing. So all in all, they raise the price on the camper to try to get more money out of you, last minute when you wanna buy something. They also accepted another contract on it when we put one on it.
