      the service drops all the time and the price creep finally made me leave them in Feb of 2023. i talked to a lady on the phone and asked to cancel account, she told me i owed 130.00 so i sent in 150.00 i even put on check cancel account. May 10 i received a collection request for 187.87after calling them again asking about why did i owe more money i have not received any final bill.
      she didnt give me a reason ... she just said the 150 was received and 37.87 was all i still owed and it was sent to collections. the woman i talked to today said they sent the e bills to my work that i resigned almost 2 years ago and it was my responsibility even though i clearly said cancel account verbally and on the check.
      the service is horrible.... the customer service is horrible.... DO NOT get Consolidated Communications if you know what is good for you.
      * ****** is a better Internet provider ive had them since March and have had no complaints whatsoever

      It seems we're not alone in our experience. Our internet drops every few minutes, especially in the evening. Speed tests show that it is consistently around 1 mbps during that time, when it's on at all. During the day (when the techs come) it runs around 4 mbps, which is "the best for my plan". They blame us for having too many devices and suggest we upgrade. What does the number of devices have to do with the speed coming in? Nothing...but of course, they try to sell that. One guy even told me that my wireless intercoms (basically, walkie talkies) are the problem! They keep suggesting that what we do (watch ****** Prime, Netflix, or MLB - only one device at a time) is our problem. But we've been doing that for years with this same package, same equipment. They are LIARS. And evidently, CHEATS as well because the product I pay for is not the product I receive. They replaced the modem - no change.
      If they throttle bandwidth in the evening for some customers they should make that clear on their contracts.
      If you're in a location where T-Mobile internet is available, get it. I have it at another house and it's fantastic. No lying, nasty techs to deal with; it's basically a cell phone.

      Made several appt. and canceled 3 times. Never called or show up. I finally had enough and canceled order. This is no way to run a business

      After about a year of it working, we have lost internet almost every evening for over 3 weeks. Often multiple (like 4-5 times a day). Weve called repeatedly for help getting it back. Three technicians have come to our house and a fourth worked on something outside near the entrance to our neighborhood. I dont think they know how to fix it and are not providing much information. Several times technicians told ** they would talk to us after they finished but just left.

      Fidium has proved to be the most incompetent company I have ever delt with. I came home now for 2 different appointment that they scheduled and they didnt bother showing up or calling to tell me they were having issues making it here. I was looking forward to it but they are useless. The girl on the phone says hmmm they didnt show up? I am sorry. I asked both times why they couldnt have the decency to call if they were running late and she didnt even care wanted me to reschedule a third time.

      My internet has been out for 2 days now. Unable to get it fixed according to them for at least 4 days. They were to have a supervisor call me, that hasn't happened. Still waiting to hear back as to a day and time for it to be fixed. This is ridiculous, to not be able to have it fixed by end of day.

      Can someone seriously just shut this business down? Im sorry but my internet goes out literally every minute. Thats not an exaggeration. I work from home and legitimately cant get a single thing done. I have called multiple times and all they do is reset my router. All they ever do is ask me to unplug and reply it back in. Like Im not trying to be rude but if youre going to have a terrible product, terrible customer service, send techs out that do literally nothing, and basically do absolutely nothing to fix your problem for MULTIPLE PEOPLE, why are you even in business?

      I have been a consolidated communications customer for years and was a ****************** customer for years before that. I had my phone cable knocked down and it is laying on the ground. I called and set up a repair. I got the usual automated phone call saying the tech would be here the next day between 8am and 7pm. So I gave up a day of work to wait for the tech. After waiting til noon I called to see if I could get an update and I find out they have pushed the repair to 4 days later. No call to let me know so if I hadn't called I would have waited 11 hours for absolutely nothing. This is truly some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Time to look at other options for my internet provider.

      Fidium fiber, a division of consolidated communications has given us a run around about why we do not have internet when we can clearly see a detached wire from the pole. They have said a tech was scheduled for Monday, a week after the storm left ** without power and internet. Power was restored within 24 hours. They kept attributing our outage as an area outage when nobody in our area was without internet. Monday they did not send a tech, but instead told ** our internet had been restored, while the wire was still on the ground. We are now scheduled for Wednesday. **************** is not honest about tech scheduling as well as not honest about your connections and whether you have one or not. Waiting to see if we will be billed for not only the repair (which they own as it's from the road to their box) and the time we have been without internet, going on 7 days now and will be 8 by the time a tech comes, if they actually do and it's not a "remote test" they scheduled which we were told when we called to discuss the lack of attention to the wire on the ground.

      This is the worst internet service you could ever have. Goes out a minimum of 10 times a day for no reason at all. Each time it goes out for about 5 minutes then magically comes back on. Horrible. Tech support will not even answer the phone.
