      Consolidated communications and fidium fiber customer service is horrible. Took almost a year to switch to fidium with customer service saying the cable installers where scheduled but never showed up only when I asked to talk to a manger did I get more information. Then called 2 weeks later and my home phone would not connect to their service numbers had to use my cell phone to contact the service number. Once we got fiduim now our home phone line is not working I have called 3 ***** to get it fixed and each time I get a different answer. The problem has not been fixed as the time of this.

      Once again internet service is in and out. Has been like this for years ! When I call for tech support, usually the *** has such an accent that I can't understand, therefore get no (zero) help. And the calls are so backed up it takes and hour or more just to reach a ***, or get a call back. Obviously a sign that there are way to many people having trouble, along with the fact that they have way to few ***s to take the calls. Absolutely the worst service from any company I have ever dealt with. Trust me that if there was an alternative ISP in my area, I would have dropped Consolidated years ago !!

      Fidium Fiber Internet has been a nightmare from day one. The internet service wasn't anywhere near the 1 Gig speed that they advertised. I called many, in fact multiple times, especially when it was important that I have my internet connected and it was like *** dialup from many years ago.The representatives that would answer my calls after many minutes on hold were very difficult to understand and sometimes would disconnect my calls. ( And I was being polite. )I interacted with 5 different service people that they sent to my residence. Each one claimed that I would have no other problems with their service. Then to top it off Fidium charged me $100 for a service ******* other complaint is that I talked my elderly single lady neighbor to sign up at the same time. The installer for her service used the cable coming from my box and he asked if he could lay a cable across and around my backyard and he said that someone would be out in 3-4 days to reinstall it from her box permanently. He also claimed that the cable was made of glass and so not to touch it. Well that was in May. You can about imagine how long my grass is since I haven't mowed that area since. (Yes my other neighbor is upset) I have called and shared this with each person that I have contacted when I wasn't receiving any signal and they each said that they would take care of my concern. I cancelled my service after the $100 service call charge and then emailed customer service concerning the cable across my lawn and their reply was to call the 800 number and tell technical service. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and their response was that they would send someone out. That was over 10 days ago and surprise surprise... haven't seen anyone yet.I even when down to ***************** and the locked front door has a sign to call the 800 number if I needed anything. Surprise again.

      They ****. Shut my internet off at 9 am with no disconnect notice and still at 6 pm. I still have not internet. Using my phone to get tv service. Had a trouble ticket done at 11 and still nothing. At 455 pm. Still no help.

      I got my services July 15, 2024. I work two job from home on August 6 my Internet went completely out started working after a day here it is August 22 and my service has been out since yesterday night. This is horrible. The service is horrible. The customer service is horrible, and how are these people still in business? They dont send any text message alerts to let you know that how you gonna be out so you can least prepare for it when you contact customer service they act like they dont know whats going on. Its sad and ridiculous.

      My internet service stopped in early July. I called consolidated communications (CC) for service repair (July 13th), and they booked an appointment for over week later (July 24th) All day 8-5. I waited all day on the appointment date and no one showed. I called and waited an hour on hold. They said it was moved to the next day and I said I couldn't be there so it was moved to the 7th of August. I again waited all day on the 7th and at 2:00 called to ensure someone was coming. I was told yes. They never showed. I called at 4:30 and was on hold for 35 minutes. At 5:00 they said it was moved to the next day. I said no, I can't be there again so asked for a supervisor. Two hours later no supervisor so I called back (3rd time that day) and spoke to a supervisor. I'm rebooted for the third appointment on August 16th.

      Really terrible service. Frequent loud 90Hz hum on line for years. Often takes several calls to get it fixed (Likely just an open ground somewhere) Then the line is clear for a few months until the hum returns. Phone lines locally are buried with roadside pedestals every few hundred feet. These are often knocked over by winter plowing and it can take months for Consolidated repair to fix the damage, The argument is that "We don't have money for all the needed repairs". And when the name of my road was changed it took several YEARS for Consolidated to correct my billing address despite requests on every monthly bill to make a very simple address correction.

      Worst customer service EVER! Internet very RARELY works. It is honestly off more than it is on. We live in a rural area so they have quite the monopoly here. We have been out of internet for 9 days because of a storm, and absolutely no resolution, no information, no nothing. Honestly inexcusable. Can not get thru to the company to even get information.

      Terrible. Disabled website hosting and domain hosting. Gave less than 45 day notice to get everything together and transfered. Now our site is gone, domain is stuck in consolidateds control and we cant access it. Tried contacting support multiple times. Huge pain.
