I own several EGO lawn care products that are all registered with the company. I heard somewhere that EGO has a recall on their hedge trimmers due to it starting on its own and lacerating people. Although I'm registered, EGO never notified me of the potential danger. I went to their website and filled out a form with my hedge trimmer information. The form says somone will contact me. It's been almost 2 weeks and nobody from EGO has contacted me. In my opinion, *** has been derelict in their responsibility to the consumer.I need to use the my trimmer and am hesitant to do so now. I'd like an immediate and timely repair of replacement of my product with a new one of equal or better characteristics. In addition, I'd like a full admission from the company of it's bungling of this safety issue and an apology across all media forms.Thank you.Initial Complaint

Initiated warranty claim on May 23. The *** mower is inoperable and will not turn on. It was purchased in **************************************************************** the 5 year warranty period. We drove 2 hours & 90 miles to drop off the mower at Northern Tool ************, ** repair shop. The repair shop charged us $60 to evaluate the mower. When we called for an update to see if the repair had been completed later in the week they told us they wouldnt be able to even look at the mower for 3 weeks. We have spent $300 on mowing services and repair shop payments while attempting to contact *** for an acceptable resolution. This is unacceptable and will now have cost us more than purchasing a new mower. I am requesting a full refund or replacement mower. I have called *** six times and they have escalated this to a supervisor 3x and we receive no communication. We need a more immediate resolution as this experience had been of great financial detriment to our family.Initial Complaint

Ive bought three power tools from EGO. I have tried to contact them with the customer support number they have on the website. The battery and charger are not working properly, and it says on the website to contact them for a replacement. Ive been calling the number for a solid week and many, many times a day. All I get it a fast busy signal. All I want is for them to hold up to their warranty program. I have also written them on the customer support procedure. Ive gotten no response. Im complaining because I have no idea what to do next to get my issue resolved. Im not sure what the problem is for having reputable battery tools, especially with long warranties, yet terrible customer support. Thank you,*******************************Initial Complaint

I spoke with technical support on 5-24-2023 and found the battery to a mower I bought on 6-12-2022 was bad and still under full warranty. I have called many time ( case no Case Number: ******** Date created: 5/24/2023 1:53 PM Case Type: Warranty Order )I can not get anyone to help with getting the replacement part. They just keep telling me they are working on getting it shipped. It is not a out of stock problem they just cant get it to together to ship the part. If they can not back the warranty then they should refund my money for the product and I will buy another brand. I bought an Ego power trimmer 2 years ago. The product comes with a 5 year warranty. I called tech support to trouble shoot an issue with the auto load not working. After exhausting options with tech support, they said they would send me a new trimmer head. After I got off the call, I got an email saying they would not be sending me a new trimmer head, and are trying to get out of covering their product. I have attached a screen shot of their email where they acknowledge agreeing to send a new trimmer head, and then they reneged.Initial Complaint

This company offers a 5 year warranty on their lawn mowers, On May 9th my mower stopped running and I called the warranty department. I explained the mower just stopped working the batteries were fine it was something with the mower. They said that I had to drop it off for service and as long as I got it into service before the 21st the warranty would still be honored. I dropped it off on the 12th of May. I called a few days later to check on it and they said the motor was bad and that they had to order a new motor. I called yesterday May 30 and the shop said they were still waiting for the part and they don't know when it will come in. I called EGO and the customer Service woman told me I was past the warranty date and that they could not replace the mower. REALLY??? It has been in the shop before the warranty was up. She said that there was nothing she could do and pretty much I was out of luck. It is not my fault that the shop is waiting for the company to ship the motor replacement. I tried to use the warranty for an item I bought from them and when I went to register the claim they made super difficult, I finally was able to gather the proof of purchase (item was a gift and it broke after 4 times using) they said the place I bough from as not an authorized dealer. The business claim that they offer 5 year warranty, the product MFR date is 3/2022 and they do not want to honor their warranty. Item was purchased on Amazon and there is no way you can know who is an authorized dealer or not. When I initiated my claim they said if I have the receipt they would honor. The string trimmer I purchased from ego less than a year ago broke due to a manufactures defect. They continued to claim it was accidental damage when it was not. It broke during use. I would like them to replace it as it has had multiple issues since initial purchase including but not limited to: battery not charging or holding a charge, the string not being released by the head properly, the auto loading function not working properly, and the string trimmer snapping at the connector when tapping lightly on the ground (per manufacturer instructions).Initial Complaint

My EGO self propelled mower has a problem. The self propelled stopped working. *** had me take the tool to a Staten Island repair shop (I live in **) which I did. After almost 5 weeks and a couple of calls to EGO the shop contacted me to pick up the tool. When I arrived for pick up and tested the tool it was not working altogether. I left the tool and called EGO again. I also explained that so far I spent $160 to have my lawn mowed. They said they will escalate and that was the end of it, I am still waiting (we in the sixth week of the "repair"Thank you for your recent call to EGO customer support on April 12, 2023 ! April 9, 2023, I pre-paid $70 inside the store on below Chevron gas station:Station ID: ****** RETAIL OUTLET # ****** *************************************************** Phone: ************** Late, I found they charged me twice, one is $50, and the other is $70. Called gas station, employee asked me to call Chevron customer service.Called ********************** customer service on April 18th and got case number ********. Today get an email from them, told me they could not reach station manager and asked me to contact gas station. If Chevron could not reach gas station manager, how can I reach him/her?As this is Chevron gas station, Chevron has responsibility to solve it.
