I had my last appointment for injections of spider veins at the *********** ** office on 8/31/22. I was told that my procedures were complete and I would need to come back in 3 months for a followup Ultrasound on both legs to be sure I am healing. I made followup appointment for 11/16/22. I received a phone call 11/11/22 saying that my appointment was canceled as my insurance is no longer accepted. I called, spoke with someone who told me she would look into the situation and get back to me as to why & the cost of the appointment if I was to pay out of pocket. I also asked how necessary this appointment is as I have Rheumatoid ********* and ********. I take an injection of Enbrel weekly and this medication delays my body from healing at a normal rate as it is an Immune suppressant. I never heard back from this woman or anyone. I received a phone call (voicemail) & a text this morning, 11/16/22 saying I missed the appointment and would I like to reschedule. I called and explained what I was told on Friday. The woman on the phone put me on hold to try and get me some info. She transferred me to the billing department. A man then came on the line and I went through the same explanation I gave the 1st woman. In the middle of my speaking he put me on hold again and transferred me to someone else. The 3rd person I spoke with told me that yes the appointment was canceled and she was sorry that I had a voicemail and text saying it was missed. She also told me my insurance is no longer accepted. I asked her at that point to speak with a supervisor or manager. She said she would message them to see if they had time to speak to me. She also said it would be $100 or $200 for the ultrasound. I asked how necessary this appointment was. She went on and on and said it wasn't that necessary. If it isn't then why was I told when I had the procedures it was? Also I have an underlying illness. I am being passed from 1 person to another as no one wants to deal w/me. What do I do?Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The response I received almost 1 year later states I am.not currently a patient. That is correct, I was a patient. When I sent the complaint to the BBB. I was a patient of *********** of America which was bought and sold or had a name change to what it is now. I was most certainly a patient with a very legitimate concern.

This is the 4th complaint I have made against this organization regarding their billing practices. The most recent complaint is a bill in the amount of $300 that was supposed to filed by the business since they had approval from my HMO insurance to do an initial consultation. I have called numerous amounts of times to discuss my concerns and the representatives tell me that they have filed. When I called my insurance In August 2022, My insurance told me that USA Vein Clinics have not filed a claim. I keep receiving texts with a billing statement of over $300 when the payment of $70 was paid as part of the initial consultation/ evaluation. When I called the billing department in August to inquire about my bill, I was told it was a cosmetic procedure when nothing was done but only a sonogram on my legs to see my veins. I told them that it was fraudulent claim and I would report it. Then they told me that a manager would call me but I never received the call. I called again and they told me they submitted a claim on my insurance but it would not pay. I again called my insurance and they informed me that USA Veins never submitted a claim. I asked why I keep receiving a bill when I only saw the doctor once on my initial evaluation? I called *************** again and the customer representative stated he was not sure why I was billed. However I continue to get bills via text.Customer Answer

I had insurence through my employer, and wanted to get my veins in my legs checked. I called the main number for USA vein clinics and they made an appointment for 4:00. When I got to the clinic, they were locking the doors and said they closed at 4:00 and to make another appointment. I made a second appointment and when I got their they said the sonogram lady was not there. The third appointment they said the sonogram lady was overbooked and to watch a video for 5 minutes. After watching the video, I left. They charged me for an office visit which is fraud. These videos are on the internet, and I did not recieve any medical attention and do not consider this to be a valid charge. The fourth visit, my legs were sonogramed for 15 minutes and they recieved $1200 from the insurence company, GPA ************. The dr. said there was NOTHING wrong with my legs at the last appointment. I paid a $55 copay in cash at the desk and they said the printer was out of ink and they could not give me a reciept, and they did not apply the payment to my account and stole my money. *************** is calling me FIVE times a day trying to bully me into paying them for fraudulent charges. They often have healthcare listed as the return number, often will not speak and call over and over. I have complained numerous times to their main phone number, and they still have not resolved the complaint and continue to harrass me. I called the insurence company and complained that they fraudulently charged me for an office visit, which was not a valid office visit. I lost eight hours worth of work which is $200, going to this clinic, and three out of four times, they did not keep the appointment to sonogram my legs. They did not have the decency to call me and cancel the appointments they were not able to fulfill. They are claiming they sonogrammed my legs twice, which is a boldfaced lie. USA Vein Clinics are committing fraud on me and my insurence company.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I did not recieve a telemedicine appointment. I went to the place of business four times, not two, and was turned away three times because the business scheduled appointments and did not have the proper staff to keep three appointments. I lost three hours of work three times for nothing which adds up to 9 hours of work lost at $25, which is $225 in lost wages, because this clinic did not have the decency to call and cancel the appointments when they did not have the staff to perform the work. I have been recieving telephone calls from this business' collection department sometimes up to five times a day. They often do not speak and it shows the call are from them. The have been harrassing me for months. I did not hear from them until almost a year later, and then they went on a campaign of harrassment. There is a reason that they have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, because they took $55 dollars from me as a copay, and just admitted that they did not apply the money to my account, and attempted to steal my money. And they have been breaking the law calling me excessively. Now they are trying to charge me for work they did not perform. There was no telemedicine appointment. This business is in the business of fraud. My next call is going to be to the States Attorney's Office.

Complaint: 18386650
I am rejecting this response because: I was scheduled for four appointments with the Vein Clinic. I went to four appointments at the vein clinic. The vein clinic did not keep three of the four appointments and told me to reschedule because their main office scheduled me for 4:00 and they closed at 4:00, the sonogram lady was not there, the sonogram lady was "overbooked" and I at the last appointment I was examined and found to have nothing wrong with me. On the third appointment I was shown an unnecessary video for ten minutes explaining a surgery that I did not need. I am not paying for that. This business is so arrogant and rude that they did not call before I arrived for the three out of four appointments to cancel, when they knew they could not accomodate the appointments. I took off work. It cost me over $200 in wages. There is a reason this business has an "F" RATING! Not only is this business rude, they are nasty and have called my phone five times a day trying to collect money I do not owe. They have engaged in HARRASSING PHONE CALLS, which is a CRIME! They STOLE $55 from me, and did not credit it to my account, refused to give me a receipt, and after I complained to the BBB, they finally acknowleged my payment. This business attempted to STEAL MONEY from me. This business is trying to make me pay to view a ten minute video of an unneccessary medical procedure. I refuse to pay for taking time off work to look at a video that was totally unnecessary. My insurence paid this vein clinic $1200 for 15 minutes worth of sonograming my legs, that had nothing wrong with them. I called the insurence company to complain that this clinic is committing FRAUD and charging for an unnecessary video. I should complain further to any governmental agency that will listen.

I was seen at Vein Clinics of ******* for a procedure in the middle of their takeover by USA Vein Clinics of ******* on 10/25/22. I had another 2 appointments scheduled and the clinic informed me that those appointments had been cancelled and gave me new dates for my further treatment. On the day of my cancelled appointment I received an email stating that I had missed an appointment and they were charging me $ 250 . As I had used my debit card to pay the co-pay on my first appointment, they deducted this money directly from my bank account. I have called their billing department in excess if 25 times to get this resolved and have gotten nowhere. Please help me get my money back. sincerely, *********************Customer Answer

I went to USA vein Clinic on 5/21/2021. I was looking into having a procedure done for my veins. I was given a quote of ******** for the procedure. I then told them I did not have the money to have this done. They encouraged me to at least have the ultrasound done for ******. I stated I did not even have that and was then told the insurance would pick up ****** and all I had to pay was the ******, so I did. I had the ultrasound done and nothing else. I then started getting harassed in the month of October 2022, over a year later that I owe ******** and that the insurance company did not pay this. When speaking with the insurance company they stated they put put a claim in for ******** for just an ultrasound. I am so upset, this is so wrong. to quote someone ****** then charge them ******** this is so wrong. They also told me if I moved forward with the procedure the insurance would pick up more then half, that too was a lie. This is a scam, they told me all the price quotes were in this folder, here to find out I was given and nothing. The folder had nothing but useless papers. I didn't think anything of it since I did not have the vein procedure done and I had paid for the ultrasound. On top of everything they are harassing me for this amount and I am not even working. I can't be the only one they have done this to. Thank you !Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because:I did not agree with automatic scheduling appointments for me. Because i live far and I work during days. This clinic was harassing me on a daily basis to schedule appointments when I told I cant because reasons I mentioned they took it upon themselves to make appointments for me for 4 or 5 consecutive days without my knowledge and without my consent . I informed them to please leave me alone I will call them when I am able schedule appointments. And also for personal reasons I had a sick family member who was near death in hospice.and required my assistance. I did not have disclosed that information to them it was a difficult time for my family and myself . They were very persistent even though I said no . They are not taking the best interest of patients. Its a financial gain for them. Making knowing patients are not confirming . This is an unethical practices on their part .

Since October 4th *************************************************** up about scheduling for vein. I have explained to them numerous times that I saw someone else and to put me on their do not call list and they refuse to do so. They keep calling me every 4 to 5 days and will not leave me alone. I'm getting very frustrated with them. I have contacted the attorney General of New York and nothing has changed. Next stop is the **** when I have time. I'm keeping all phone records when they have called. I just want them to stop harassing me before I consult with my lawyer.Business Response

I have been under the care of **** Clinics of ******* for a few years now with great service and communication. Recently **** Clinics of ******* have been sold to USA Vein clinics. I had an appointment scheduled on 10/19 at 9:30am, at 7:14am on 10/19 I received a phone call telling me my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I tried to call the number listed to reschedule with negative results after sitting on hold for over an hour. I tried calling the office I go to directly but the line had been disconnected and forwarded to the line I had just been on hold with for over an hour. I also tried to email the contact email address but I got a bounce back email saying that was not a good email address. I finally was able to make another appointment for 10/28 at 12pm. After getting no confirmation of my appointment I called to confirm and I was hung up on. I reported to the office for my appointment to learn that my appointment was going to need to be rescheduled again as they close at 12pm. The wonderful staff in the actual office advised they have their hands tied for scheduling also and have to go through the scheduling number I had tried using. The office requested another appointment and scheduling set it for 12:30 that same day when the office is closed. The restricted communication and wasting of patients time and use of sick time from work is unacceptable. USA Vein clinics needs to give power back to their offices to schedule and follow up with their patients and work on their nonexistent customer service.Business Response

This is the third complaint I have made against this organization regarding their billing practices. The most recent complaint is a bill in the amount of $103.00 and a charge on my credit card for $400.00 I only saw the doctor once at the clinic in January 2022. In August 2022, I received a bill in the amount listed above for $103 but saw the $400 dollar charge on my credit card statement. When I called the billing department in August to inquire about the $103 bill, I was told it was my deductible. I asked why am I receiving a bill in August when I only saw the doctor once in January? Shouldnt I have been informed of the deductible in January and made a payment 7 months ago? The customer representative stated he was not sure why I was billed 7 months later but I owed the deductible. In a different BBB case, I made a complaint about a $45 copay. The case was resolved, and the clinic agreed to refund my $45 copay. However, instead of receiving a refund for the $45 copay, $400 was refunded instead. Its as if the billing department realized they made a mistake in charging my credit card the wrong amount. Now I am receiving calls from Debt Collectors for the $103 bill. I want this to stop. I want *************** to stop sending me bills that I do not owe.Business Response
