      Contacted them after an insurance claim for water damage to my floors. They came in and sold me on $20,000 priced flooring that the insurance company only covered $8000 which the insurance company told me nothing about. I took the hit and paid for the flooring but the floor pops and sags in certain areas. Had their contractor come out and **** the floor. It was fine for awhile but start sagging and popping again. When I call to have someone come back out, nobody wants to come saying that I am out of a warranty and doesnt answer my messages now. I have told other people my problem and they said I shouldnt have never dealt with Empire. Im reading others complaints now and they sound like mine. Poor business practices for such a large company.

      If I had the choice Empire would not receive any stars- my experience has been a nightmare from the begining- I chose Empire because they are nation wide and having seen so many ads on the television I figured they must be reputable. I was wrong! I hired Empire through a local sales representative who assured me that they had a high rating with the BBB. I ordered the carpet, gave the deposit and set up the installation- the installers came on January 23 and they threw the rug on the ground in front of my house- they did not take care as they should have with the new rug and my home. I was suppose to receive a ****** promotional discount for being a first time customer but had to request a copy of my contract three times over 10 days to get what I was owed- I did not get the ****** I got ****** off- I have been calling to complain to customer service for two weeks now and all I get is a bunch of word salad that someone would call me back and nobody has- the discount was mine to receive online as I followed the instructions- I got tons of emails from them but no coupon for the discount so I paid the entire balance when the installers arrived- I left my home for 15 minutes to pick my daughter in law up from school and my husband signed the credit card payment- after they left I noticed that I could see the seams in the carpet because the rug that was pieced was a different color than the rest of the carpet- you could also see the plastic mesh underneath around the border where the rug meets my floor- after 5 phone calls, 5 different representatives, I am left without compensation- they offered to fix an unfixabke carpet so I declined- I am requested the discount of ****** and will take my business elsewhere- I saw on **** that there are many complaints about Empire- I guess I should have checked there before I hired them. They are a terrible company to work with- too many spoons in the pot of swill!

      I purchased flooring in my kitchen less than two years ago. The planks are lifting and peeling. I called Empire and they told me my warranty had expired and there would be a cost for the repairs. When I complained about that they said let me check to see if we still have that product. He came back and said the flooring was discontinued and there was nothing they could do. Oh and Im still paying for this horrible flooring. When I complained he hung up on me. ******** company!!!

      THE WORST COMPANY EVER! ***************** whats that? Ive gotten the run around, no one will return my calls or emails. I was told Id be compensated for damages around my home, a lousy $20. Are you joking?! I was assured by the sales *** it was a one day job. Two days later-17 hours! I lost a days pay, was forced to stay in a room. The installers were in my bathroom using it more than they were installing my new flooring. They left a complete mess that Im still cleaning up. I asked them not to open a door to a room that my pets were in, they did it anyway and they escaped. I am DISGUSTED. I left a nasty review on yelp, they said they would reach out still waiting. Please, do not waste your time, your money or your breath with this company.

      I cannot give them 0 stars, so 1 it is.I have used Empire Today in the past and was happy with the service. So I called on them again to put flooring in my new house. I wish I called someone else. In the past, Empire Today used stand behind their product and services.I noticed something coming through the flooring from underneath. I called customer support and filed a claim. I was told that my flooring is no longer under warranty. My main issue is that this is not a product issue as much as the installers leaving something on the sub floor that is not starting to ****** through the flooring.I will be calling someone else to replace the flooring in my other ******** advice is to call someone else. Someone who will actually stand behind their products and services.

      The only reason they got 1 star was because 0 wasn't available. We paid $11,000 for flooring and baseboards and a protection plan. Two months after installation, empire had to come out for repairs that included paint on the baseboards bubbling off and the flooring warping on the sides. They came out 3 times for repairs. Now, a 4th time and it's doing it again. And Empire first told me they wouldn't replace anything because of water damage. I explained to the rep ****** and ****, that the flooring and baseboards were installed when it was raining and the installers were cutting outside under a canopy. He said that wouldn't be a reason for water damage. Make that make sense.And the water spot was the size of a pea and in the entry way. He said that spot was the reason the paint was bubbling off the baseboards in the hallway 33' away. Empire has now sent a claim to the manufacturer and I'm waiting for a response. I have been told by Empire employees that they wouldn't even use Empire and that Empire received faulty products and knowingly installed them. Until then, I have a third party company coming out to get their testimony along with a contractor regarding the claims of water damage. I'll wait to see what Empire says than go from there.

      I paid in full for the carpet. Installation was scheduled for the next day. Installers came on time, complained about how difficult it is to install carpet in cold weather (job is inside with heating); remeasured the area and said they don't have enough time to do the job (1pm-6pm) for 24 steps, 4 landings & 4 stringers; so it was rescheduled for two days later. Different set of installers arrive, remeasured the area and said not enough carpet was loaded in the van. Rescheduled for the next day. Same thing happened the next day. I spoke with the manager of the installation **** who said they know how much carpet is needed to do the job and will schedule the installation ****. Installers arrive, remeasure and said not enough carpet was sent.The result of this circus is that I lost at least $1500 of rent from tenants that were supposed to move in.I don't understand how a business can operate like this. I will definitely tell the rest of the landlords on the block to stay away from Empire Today Carpeting.
