IF I COULD PUT IT ON THE NEWS AS A RIPOFF TO NEVER USE THIS COMPANY I WOULD! I spent over 13K just to be told "Sorry- it's after the warranty" I questioned the 1 year installation after the exact same problem happened 2 times. They did the install, 1 of the planks in my bathroom separated by 1/2'. They sent someone out to fix it. Skip ahead to 1 month ago..same plank, same issue. Nope- sorry we have to charge you $200 (which they told me they lowered from $250 "just to give a discount") to come out and fix what we never fixed correctly in the first place, or it wouldn't have happened again. If it was anywhere else, I would understand and pay...but the same exact spot? The exact same issue? That means their subcontractor (who no longer with them, after we were told they have their own installers) didn't do it correctly. So, Empire's name is on it, Empires subcontractors, Empires product, but it's my fault? They already had to come out on a different issue where they "forgot" to put a piece of flooring at the top of the basement stairs- just left 3" of bare wood between carpet on stairs and flooring on main level. And if I have someone else fix it, I void my manufactures warranty? Kind of got me over a very expensive barrel huh? They are holding my flooring hostage. I was told I couldn't contact the manufacturer because I had to go through Empire. So past disappointed and disgusted with the customer service in the CO office I could scream. Called and got a case #- waited 2 weeks, no one called back. Called got another one. Was told we had to pay. Called and asked to speak to a manager because not understanding how their lack of quality installation is my fault. Got switched to 2 different people and then was told someone would call me back Just got off the phone with *****. She got on the phone with a confrontational attitude right off the bat, was very unhelpful, and got rude after I asked her why she sounded angry with me.Empire Today, LLC

I have had many carpets done throughout my life by various companies throughout the county and Empire Today is by far the worst I've ever dealt with. The installers put the seam right in the doorway. It was always visible with strings sticking out. Almost two months after the installation, I was vacuuming and a portion of the carpet got caught in the vacuum and started fraying. I contacted customer service and was told that because the carpet was almost two months old, I couldn't just replace the 4ft x 12ft piece that was damaged due to dye differences in batches. I would need to replace the entire carpet at a cost of over $1800. I tried explaining that I was ok with a possible shade difference because it's downstairs in the basement family room/kids area. I was told that it wasn't possible. The installers also failed to install transition straps between the entry way and bathroom. Since my call to customer service, both areas have begun to fray. I now have the task of installing a transition between the bathroom and family room. The carpet is laid on top of cement since it's in the basement. This has required me to purchase special tools that can drill through concrete in order to secure the strip. I also have to come up with a creative way to cover up the damage in the entrance way. It is such a disappointment to have spent so much money and have such severe damage within months of installing brand new carpet that the company won't work with me to repair. Not only did I find the installers less than qualified to professionally lay the carpet but I find the quality of the carpet subpar. I would never recommend Empire Today for carpet!Empire Today, LLC

This is the worst company I every done business with.They should be out of business for taking people money and their horrible work and product. They give you a year that is their reason for not making it right with the customers. Within a year the flooring is coming up. They take no responsibility for none of the issues you have,but will to take your money with one phone call. But you cannot get a call back with a issue give you the run around.Empire Today, LLC

Don't. Worst company ever. Bait and switch on ad. Applies to only 1 product the worst most unpopular they have or low invatory. Charge way to much. I bought because of size of company and lifetime warranty. If you have a lifetime to call hundreds of times, appointment they break, call backs you don't receive. Vinyl tile looked like seconds from ********* pattern looked like they took master picture of a 10 year old dirty floor. The sales piece was blemish free. Thought they had there own installers NO a local that didn't have enough work! Tlle was place at random, two same tiles next to each other under my garbage can etc. Floor was leveled (pay) Tile hollow someplaces and floating on water in others. Tile separated, uneven water comes up at at distant seams if it gets wet. Some tiles have cracked. Two different color trim, didnt send enough product. Overhang is loose etc. Called 10 times complaint ***** promised supervisor call back never came. Left message once when I specifically told them I wouldnt be home. Terrible liars. Another excuse they had infomation under a rental property I own in another state. Couldn't get me listed under wrong office. Never paid attention to any messages they got from their own customer service complaints. This is second BBB complaint. I could go on and on ie. Today when I called before writing this I was told to have a good day and hung up on!!! Couldn't leave a ) on star rating.Empire Today, LLC

We got the lvp installed and they used an ugly grey 1/4 round against our white baseboard that we don't like. We had expected them to pop the baseboard and install flooring, reinstall baseboards. Now we asked them to use a white shoe trim and pull that 1/4 round out but they will not do it. They told me if we hire S&G to fix it, we void the 1 year install warranty. We are not happy and have yet to pay them They offered a 1k discount. The ********** contact ***** has not been truthful with **, originally saying he would change out the 1/4 round trim for his cost of $300Empire Today, LLC

I will never use Empire again.First when the salesman sold me hardwood flooring he did not mention it was engineered would.It is very thin and looks very cheap.When I called the company, we went back and forth and the issue did not resolve.Three months later there was a leak in the ceiling of my dining room, which is below the bathroom The handyman said Empire did not put the toilet in securely and caused the leak. I had it repaired.The damage caused mold and drywall rot I have spent over $2,000.00 in repairs. Need I say more?Empire Today, LLC

We contacted Empire for a quote on carpet throughout our house and tile in one bathroom. When the salesman wrote up the contract, he left out the tile. Since I wasnt shown a copy of the work order, I didnt know that the tile wasnt included. The carpet was installed in one day. They left the old carpet in front of the bathroom vanity since we thought there would ******* there the next day. I had taken two days off from work to be home for installation. The second day, nobody came to install tile. I called the salesman and was told tile was not include in work order. The salesman refused to take any responsibility for his mistake. So now we have no tile, and an old piece of carpet in front of the bathroom vanity. They offered to come back out and put tile or carpet down for and extra fee. I dont feel like we should owe any more money since this was Empires mistake! Their customer service is a joke!!!Also, we did the finance option through ***** Fargo. On the Empire website it shows an ****% finance rate. The salesman confirmed that. When we got the finance information from ***** Fargo, its actually ****%. That ends up being a lot of extra money! We ordered carpet and had an installation scheduled. The day before we got a text confirming our install the next day. At 4:00 PM on the same day we got the confirmation text we received a call that the carpet we selected was not available. I was on the phone for an hour and was offered 20% off. The individual said he would process the difference that day and to allow **** days for it to credit to my card. We had our salesperson out again and made a new selection. The sales rep was the only positive in this entire debacle. We scheduled for Saturday and again on Friday received a text that our install was happening. Shortly after receiving the text we got a call that it was scheduled for Tuesday. I immediately called and was informed that once again the carpet we selected and had already paid for in full 2 weeks prior was not available!!!!!!! I cancelled the entire order since Empire does not understand inventory management and we were not about to do this again. Additionally, I went to look at my credit card statement today to make sure the first 20% off had posted since it had been 10 days...nothing. I called and was informed that all of the credits were issued last Friday which means the individual who gave me the "20% off" did not issue a credit at all. Quite possibly the worst experience with a retail company I have ever had. To top it off we have selected a similar carpet at ********** and are literally saving 40% off what we were quoted by Empire. Do not recommend!!Empire Today, LLC

************************* the flooring consultant sold me laminate that I feel was overpriced. No where do see I see he gave me any discount for my retired ARMY status or for being a senior citizen or the discount that was offered at that time. But I have a second issue. One of the boxes was damaged. I called ************************* that same day that they were installing the flooring. that there was damaged floors. I was told by ************************* that they would replace the box of laminate and it would be on my doorstep the next day. The installer had enough laminate to finish the job. Well the flooring was put in January 31, 2023. I am still waiting for the laminate to show up it is now February 20, 2023. I have called ************************* and sent him emails asking him where was my box of laminate. I dont need the laminate because I bought the Empires Today Service Plan. I asked to be reimbursed the money for the laminate. I am still waiting for the response from the Empire Today about my issue about the damaged flooring I paid for.Empire Today, LLC
