Placed an order with Empire Today and when they arrived to install my wood laminated flooring they switched the product on me and tried to say that the packages were just labeled wrong from the manufacturer. Called to speak with a manager I was given two reference numbers, as you have to wait 24 hours for them to call you back and of course they never called back. I made several more calls to speak with a manager but never once did a manager call. I finally found a corporate number and did get a call back from this gentleman who also to tried tell me the package was mislabeled. Corporate gave me a letter dated April ***** Day saying the manufacturer would honor the waterproof warranty on the ********* products but it said nothing of packages being labeled wrong. There was a reference phone number on the letter for that company, so I called and they had no idea about the letter? the first time I called she knew nothing about the letter I was was referring too. I called again and tried to give more detail to find out if packages get mislabeled and asked if this is why they would offer a warranty on water resistant products when waterproof was sold and again, two separate people at this manufacturer both knew nothing of this letter and were very confused by my call. The Product delivered for install was cheap and was not waterproof. Horrible customer service, my salesman knew the day they arrived with the wrong product and said he would get to the bottom of it and only got a response, after I called him repeatedly. Still this salesman acted like he had no idea what was happening and was sure the installer just pulled the wrong product. Later he starting trying to say, it was the right stuff, just labeled wrong. I asked why it said water resistant when I ordered waterproof. I asked him to have his manager call and once again no manager called. Not sure how a company can get away with selling you one product and delivering another?Empire Today, LLC

I am so sad that I used this company and will NEVER use them again! I will not recommend them to anyone. 1) I have had carpet replaced in my home at least 3 times and never ever has anyone put transition strips in my home. It was never discussed nor is it in my contract. The contractor choose a metal stripping. This metal stripping is not flush with my vinyl floor, leaving areas where my grandkids as well as my dogs could easily get their toes stuck or worse yet ripped off. 2) The contractor choose to square out an area in front of my front door exposing 40+ tack marks from where my carpet was rounded. The stripping here is not flush but laid on top of each other exposing a sharp edge of metal in my carpet. My husband is diabetic and this is extremely dangerous. 3)This stripping is scratched and dented throughout my house. The nails used to apply this are sticking up and not flush. Again, this is dangerous for anyone. Worse yet a diabetic. 4) The contractor also cut a 2 foot slit in my vinyl floor at my front door( probably while taking out my old carpet) which will now let moisture under my flooring when I wash up the floor ruining my sub floor over time.I have spoke with customer service and they have sent crews out 3 different days but we have still not gotten any of this rectified. I just wish I could add pictures of this mess.Empire Today, LLC

Worst company ever. Had ****** come out for a quote. I explained I wanted sheet vinyl installed due to having 4 dogs and not wanting seems. ****** states "oh, no plank tongue and groove is commercial rated and waterproof and would be great in your home!" *********** the contract, pack up our kitchen, office and bedroom. Take the dogs to doggy day care at $120 per day so they are out of the way. Miss a day of work. Installers arrive to tell me that tongue and groove will not work since our floors were bowed (you can visibly see this in the kitchen). So ****** comes back out to switch it and do a new quote to the vinyl I requested to begin with. So, pack up, miss a day of work, spend another $120 in doggy daycare. Installers arrive and tell me they cannot install vinyl over hardwood flooring. At this point, I am out hundreds of dollars and no floors.Empire Today, LLC

Empire today is one of the worst flooring company in Southwest *******. Even their customer service rep named ******** is very distasteful person. Do not no how to deal with customer problem. She is not empathetic towards customers She should be in the fields dealing with cows and hogs. Even if the customer work that was done is out of warranty. Their is a more empathetic way of dealing with customers.Empire Today, LLC

I chose carpet and had it installed. First, no one introduced themselves when I answered the door; I had to prompt them for that information. Second, the two installers took a few breaks and twice came back in my house smelling of marijuana which explains, at least to me, why the installation was such a poor job and they didnt clean up when finished as the emailed instructions to me stated would happen. They didnt have a vacuum cleaner to use since the person with the work trailer left just shortly after arrival once he dropped off padding and carpet so they asked to use mine. They clogged it up which also resulted in not cleaning up prior to walk through. Third, the two installers didnt speak ************* dont speak Spanish. I later was told by a manager that each crew is to have someone who speaks English. Fourth, there were so many open seams and visible holes that within an hour of installation completed I was filing a complaint with the company. This resulted in three additional appointments to my house: one to review the poor installation, two to fix the all the problems and three to reinstall the carpet on the stairs because it was such a mess. Finally, after a week of having my furniture and personal affects from the second floor shattered throughout my house and I was able to put everything back in its place. Thats when I discovered three items had been stolen from house, I notified the installation manager and the general manager and as of 2-15-23 the items have not been returned nor I have been compensated for them. The installation manager stopped answering my text messages; he is responsible for the installation crews. I did not appreciate my house in disarray for almost two weeks. I had to move everything out of three bedrooms the weekend before installation and couldnt put anything back in place until all repairs had been made. I would NEVER recommend this company regardless of how good a deal they make you during the free in-home consultation.Empire Today, LLC

I will never use empire again! Worst installation job ever done. They want me to pay to have all my carpet re stretched. After 6 months I had significant bubbling in my master bedroom, now almost all rooms are bubbling. Im embarrassed to have any one in my upstairs. **************** called today And she was yelling at me over the phone stating it was due to the moisture in my home. I will be reaching out to my lawyer, since they dont fix their own mistakes.Empire Today, LLC

Empire installed $7000 worth of carpet into our house, after six months, it started to ****, come apart and wear down like its been here for 16 years. Ive called 19 times since December 28 after an inspector came and said it all needed replaced. We have a lifetime guarantee on stains, traffic wear, and durability. Empire has been leading us on, and not willing to talk to us. I would not use this company ever again! They lie, they run you around, and they do not hold up to their warranties.Empire Today, LLC

The installers scratched my tv and denied they did it. Came back and cleaned it with oil and said that they were sorry, but denied it. Left my toilet in the middle of the floor because they failed to make sure that toilet would mount properly after installing the floors. Called several times right after to complain and no one called me back. Had to hire a plumber to come out and rest my toilet and they will not reimburse me because they claim that I didnt reach out them. I called right after the installers left and have 2 ticket numbers to prove it. I will never use them again or refer them to anyone. Do not do business with Empire Today Denver/Colorado Springs. Their Salesperson, ***s, misleads and signs you up for contracts and credit that you know nothing about. I cancelled their contract as soon as I started to receive emails of contracts, contract revisions which included prices that weren't discussed or approved ( All occurred after our 1st meeting and before our 2nd meeting to finalize the work and quote). When I asked the Salesperson what was going on he said that is the way they do business. I also received a credit card From Synchrony Bank, which hits your credit history, which I new nothing about. Contact with their Customer Service, repeatedly, is to , apologize, contact those involved, give you confirmation numbers of the discussion, but no one responds. When you attempt to contact their Corporate Office you get a greeting that states if you don't know an extension # they can't transfer your call.
Bottom line is local representative ***, get you involved with credit and their contract issues, customer service apologizes and records your complaint, without response and the corporate office leaves you and their employees out to dry.Empire Today, LLC

Where do I begin…what a nightmare of a company to work for. I spend almost $15k for a job that the sales said would be 3 days. After over 3 weeks, the job is still not done. The installer was decent at first but them lied one after another. During the installation, he couldn’t do some of the things he was hired to do so I had to do them myself. Then found out they didn’t order enough replacement baseboard and when being remedied, the sales person said it would be on empire to cover the additional cost but I got a call 10 min later saying it would be another $500. The installer couldn’t do everything he was supposed to, put the toilets he removed on the carpet and got the water everywhere but didn’t say anything. Said the job was complete without it being done so I had to call and have another job opened up. Was told that the wrong part was ordered several times and still wasn’t in after 3 weeks until I called and FINALLY spoke with someone who said they have the piece and didn’t know what I was talking about. So ultimately it was a lie by the installer who just didn’t want to do his job. I kept trying to call to get the problem handled and install finished but took a week before I actually talked to someone to complain. The “customer service” rep was rude and didn’t care about anything but after complaining enough, they said they had the piece needed the entire time and opened another order, saying it was “covered by the warranty” when the job was never done in the first place. If you’ve read this far just know there’s even more that as of today, has not been resolved. The photo is one piece of what they claim to be “a completed job”. I’ll never do business with them again and would recommend any other company to work with.Empire Today, LLC
