      We will never use Empire or recommend to family and friends. The installation was put in so badly and the installers damaged our woodwork and drywall while installing. When photos were presented to the manager and salesman we were told it was minor damage, and we signed a contract!!!!! We had 4 rooms and stairs done, and all are bad! I am embarrassed to have anyone in my home! Thank you Empire!!!!

      Salesperson was excellent. Downhill from there.1-3-2023, 2 installers arrived to install vinyl floating kitchen floor, landing and foyer. They started bringing tiles in right away. We asked were they removing existing floor as was stated in work order. We were told NO! We explained that there were two floors presently. We were told by salesman that floor had to be removed as our pantry door and refrigerator would not allow another floor on top. (no space). Installer called his boss and was told not to remove floor??? Gave us $100 credit. Installer talked over us explaining we wanted floor removed. We were told this was a full day job and possible return second day for trim work by salesman including taking old floor with them. Job was completed in little over 2 hrs. They could not put pantry door up and left it in living room floor. Refrigerator would not fit under cabinet. Told us to trim them or pay someone $50 to do it. Terrible installation in kitchen. Nail holes visible in all trim work, trim work is higher than carpet in living room and family room. Trim was placed where there was no molding leaving 2-inch opening from wall to trim, gouges in trim and floor. Glue and nails left in carpet. Gap present under cupboard under trim. Refrigerator area tile does not meet walls. Filed complaint. Same installer returned. Disputed everything we tried to explain. He did trim cupboard. We had already had someone trim pantry door. He proceeded to give an excuse for every complaint as to why it was done the way it was. Pounded the nails in more and placed caulk over the SOME of holes. All done. We informed him we were not satisfied. We called company again. They could file another complaint. Don't trust them to come back into our home, will never deal with them again and will not recommend Empire to anyone. We now understand why 2 days prior we were contacted by Empire to pay balance in full BEFORE installation. I argued this as well and was told it is their policy.

      Since day one Empire has been less than satisfactory. We were looking to get real hardwood floors, but were pitched on their top of the line *** for its durability. We did the whole house, main and top floor including the staircase. On installation day, our ceiling fan was accidentally smacked and broken, which Empire replaced. Then the floor in our kitchen needed to be redone multiple times due to gaps, weakness and missed areas. Then I could not purchase materials from Empire for the floor trim for a closet remodel without paying for them to do installation. So if you want to match your floor by remodeling or extra work you can't just get the material. I have had Empire come out multiple times for repairs since install. The floors are 2 years old. The *** we were sold is not durable. The material chips and flakes off. I had *** replaced on stairs once under warranty and now it is again flaking apart and is no longer under warranty. So they want me to pay to repair defective material. Either there is a design flaw with material used for our *** or it is not as durable as they claimed when it was sold to us. I do not recommend Empire. I am now going to have to repair *** myself on my staircase because I am not going to pay Empire more money. We have already exceeded $14,000 dollars with them. Wishing I went with someone else and got real hardwood.

      This was the worst experience Ive had with any company that has done work at the house.- Sales people and managers that dont know the product - don't even know the warranty - Sales managers that approve costs/jobs without double checking information such as warranty - which in the end caused more headaches and issues. The original carpet was installed with glue down as requested. HOWEVER, it A. Could NOT be installed with glue down because it wasnt allowed by the manufacturer, and, B. Voided the 1 year install and 5 year manufacturer warranty (which we were not told by salesman or his manager, yet it was approved and installed with glue down, which ended up developing patches a day later and we had to do a brand new re-install with padding)- **************** that promises/guarantees things they never live up to - **************** reps that supposedly check/confirm the carpet to be installed NEXT DAY is in-stock & available, then it turns out to be out of stock, and when you call back to ask the same person why she confirmed it, the verbatim response is Oh Im sorry I didnt actually check.- Passing the buck for when something goes wrong - no authentic apologies, only excuses - Verbatim response from supervisor via email - "I understand that XXXX confirmed the re-install on the phone the day before, but we weren't made aware by the distribution center that the carpeting was out of stock, so that's not XXXX fault. YES IT IS. Your job is to check, not to lie.- Paperwork was filled out incorrectly multiple times and STILL specified the install as glue down - *********************************************** horrible communication & each department doesnt know what the other is doing - No respect/consideration for schedules & lives of customers Do not use Empire! Aside from liking the actual carpet and good installers, everything on the corporate side is beyond awful. Find another company that has the same carpet brand/style, and use them instead.

      Horrible company do not back there product. Try to push it off on the homeowner. Had a manufacturer issue and they wouldnt do anything about it. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!

      I purchased the service plan that protects the carpets up to three years after purchase if there are any stains. I was also told I would be reimbursed for a portion of a professional carpet cleaning if I had it done a year after it was installed. I have not been reimbursed for the cleaning that I had done and am now being told my claim was denied for the pet stain. I am very disappointed that Empire pads their profits by getting individuals to purchase their extended protection plan but denies claims when called to uphold their end of the bargain. The individual that contacted me has much trouble in communicating via email but I did get the point that they are not going to honor the details of the extended service program or reimburse me for any of the carpet cleaning, both of which was why I purchased into the agreement in the first place.

      I will never use Empire ever again... They showed up with not enough material to complete the project. They didn't come back for a week later, unannounced, only to show up with the wrong material to finish the job. I only found out after they tried to install the wrong material and try to get away with it. Called customer service a number of times and they never returned my call. I had asked them to transfer me to the ** General Manager ****, left a message, no returned call. Now another week goes by and a completely different installer comes to the house and brings material that was not even part of the original project. Called customer service again and again to no avail. As of right now the project is still not complete and I have no idea if they are even coming back to finish the job. Lastly, when we contacted the original installer, he claimed he was deactivated by Empire for not having liability insurance. So who knows if this project will ever be completed.

      I can't even give this company 1 star. We had new carpet installed at our business at the end of May of last year and with 1 month we saw spots appearing on the carpet. It got worse as the day/months went on. We called Empire and they asked us to take pictures and send to them. We did and they sent a company rep out to survey the carpet and take pictures and were told they would get back to us. They never got back to us. We tried to contact them numerous times and we got no response. I can only assume they are trying to hide from their unprofessional job by acting unprofessionally. The carpet looks absolutely horrible! I will never use them again!

      ***************************** sales representative very deceitful, beware! Requested a quote and was given a very hard line sell with a wide variation of pricing promises different than what was on the actual contract. The sales rep. could not answer basic questions about the installation and I asked for time to review the estimate and compare. When I called in to Empire to obtain the estimate, I was told at Empires customer service line that the sales rep. refused to send the estimate because I did not sign a contract. Everything was hunky-dory at the start and quickly turned when I would not sign a contract. Im glad I took a step back to look at online reviews, it says it all on there and 99% negative does not lie.
