      **BUYERS BEWARE!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! Their salesman came out (*********************). He was friendly and professional but pitched us false promises and incorrect info . He took measurements, we spoke in detail about how the carpet was to be installed where our kitchen/living room floor transitioned into carpet and how we would be able to fix the subfloor in a few places. The floors are not the same height and had carpet shims in place to make them the same. The shims were attached and were not suppose to be removed. The installers spoke very little english, communication was impossible. They were suppose to do a walk through confirming the work to be done it was the right carpet. No walk through was done, they did confirm the carpet. I trusted that it was going to be done as promised but again there was a language barrier. I tried to tell them hat the carpet was installed incorrectly at those two places but was told that it was not on the work order and they would not fix it. They also took the shims with them. They did not have the correct transition strips so my husband had to go to ********** and buy them, no reimbursement was given. Because of the incorrect installation when they put the transition strips down it caused our vinyl kitchen floor to buckle and they put nails through it damaging the edges. I reached out to ******************* and *************************** (installation manager) but it took weeks for them to respond. The installation manager came out, looked at it and told me they could fix it and would sent someone. He looked for 5 minutes, took no measurements and left. It took several more weeks to get an appointment to have it fixed. They called the day of to tell me they could not fix it and had to remove the shims to install the carpet to standard and blamed us for the problem. After more than a month they sent someone to fix the problem, they only ********* area, it was done incorrectly, the floor was still uneven, we ended up having to do it ourselves anyway.

      What a terrible company Empire is. I put down a deposit in August. Work was scheduled for October. One no call, no show. They called to cancel the 2nd scheduled date because the temp was too low to work on the sunporch. It was 80F that day... so, bologna. I then concluded that Empire wanted to collect payments and not work. I called for a refund. I was told it could take a month. I waited over a month and then called about it. Empire said they had no record of my having asked for a refund. I was told to submit documentation with a refund request. How ridiculous! If you don't show up for work twice, you should be paying people for wasting their time, not making them gather data on how incompetent you are. Suspecting I was getting the run-around, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. The card company got back to me a few days later, saying that Empire had finally refunded the money. That was done shortly after my final call to Empire but before I'd disputed the charge. This indicates that one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. All I know is that neither hand is working.Empire should send a written apology for wasting my time and tying up my money for months. Don't schedule work you have no intention of completing. You should also tell us why you think it is acceptable to treat clients this way. We can see we are not alone.

      Floors 3years old but look and feel 20yrs, have called and emailed to get inspection done on their lifetime warranty . Empire Today has been a no call/no show for 3 scheduled appointments that I need to stay home to complete from 8am-6pm. Floors warped and chipped in more than 5 areas. Sent pictures, not good enough need inspection (that I have to pay for) so they can blame on us to void warranty.

      12/2/22 still not bringing enough carpet to finish the work and according to this contractor the hallway and one room was done wrong. One month with our house not completed. We paid in full already. We need someone hire than the assistant manager ****. After initial call, he doesnt respond back and didnt resolve the issue. Horrible service. It was remove so I am listing it again. 11/23/22 update is that its still not done and no one will respond.Thats what we are trying to do but after three visits by Empire contractors, they are still not done. Worst experience ever! Todays contractor was worried to complete the job because of the work the last person did. He was worried of being docked pay.

      I dont even know where to begin. My experience with Empire has been horrible!! I had vinyl plank flooring installed in 2 bedrooms and vinyl tile installed in my bathroom in May of this year. The bathroom installer was very unprofessional and in such a hurry to get away that he left my floor in a mess. He smeared grout (which was not even suppose to be used) all over the floor and even on some of the walls and molding. He clogged up my bathtub with grout which required a service call from my plumber. The only positive thing I can say about Empire is that I was reimbursed for the plumbing expense. The installer did not connect the toilet correctly and to this day the grout he applied at the bottom of the toilet is still wet. When I asked him about cleaning up the grout he said you will have to clean it because its past time for me to leave. After calling multiple times there have been at least three inspections performed and lots of pictures taken and still nothing has been done even though I was told that the flooring would be re-installed. I recently was put in touch with an install manager who set up an appointment to have the reinstallation done but the installer was a no show. This happened at least three times. After calling the manager about this I was told he would look into it and call me back but I never heard from him. I am now in contact with a **************** Manager and there was a reinstallation scheduled for Dec. 1 but the installer was a no show and I never received a call notifying me of the cancellation. When I called about it I was told the ticket has been closed. This has been a very stressful experience and I would never wish for anyone to go through what I have.

      I wish I could rest -5! 1. We are a business whom contacted empire about work they were advertising. They advised that we could make a small fortune and they were so busy looking for installers, then all the sudden we were given 7 jobs out of those 7 we completed 3 and have been waiting for payment since early November. Meanwhile, theyre still advertising the need for help yet the person I spoke with today about payment was a complete jerk and stated that they had so many installers as if that justified the issues that weve been dealing with. He advised I could pick up a check (now this is after going through several hoops for them, spending ****s because of their specific requirements) and they have yet to pay not to mention that the immediate emails that are supposed to come through dont come through for days and the company has promised compensation for the 3 jobs that we did go to because each one had to have a return trip due to EMPIRE mistakes. This is ridiculous not only have I not even made a profit after all the hoops they sent me through but now I have to look into legal help because theyre unorganized and I have still yet to get paid after a month funny they wanted me to do some more jobs though. ID NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO INSTALLERS OR CUSTOMERS! Every job we did go to the customers were also upset and one tried to assault one of my workers! This is ******** and I will file a complaint with ***** as well!

      On Oct.18th we signed an agreement to get LVP and carpet installed. On Oct. 20th they came to install the **** They use sub-contractors and when they came in were clueless about what rooms they were installing. After I showed them they started installing, I asked them if they were supposed to install a wood underlayment in because my salesperson charged me for that in my quote. They told me no. I tried to ask my sale rep ******* and no answer. 7 hours later they ran out of product and left. Didnt move back the kitchen table(we paid for them to move) Called my sales rep and said he will get back to me. After I didnt hear back tried calling and texting my sale rep. but he went ghost. Got it rescheduled for Oct. 25th. The installer walked in and told me Empire lied to him and said it was a new install not to finish a job. He told me he wouldnt get more than $60-$80 for this job and it would take 5 hours and he walked out. After three days finally spoke to ***** the installation manager that assured me it would be installed on Oct 31st. no call, no show trying to get ahold of anyone local is impossible. Finally, on Nov. 3rd two installers showed up and did the work but didnt have enough molding transition strip to complete it. So far 2 calls and no answers. Tried to call again this morning and spoke to the call center that said the local office isnt answering(no surprise there) but it's under review to get ordered) Received a text they would be out on Nov. 23 day before thanksgiving. Canceled all of our plans and no-show no call. Call the number on Mon. 28th they assured me with their manager or ***** would call me back, On Dec. 1st I called again, and she told me there is nothing she can do because I have an open ticket and just hope I receive a call. I have never worked for such an unoriginated company before and I do not recommend them to anyone. Unless you want to take multiple days off work for broken promises, poor communications unapologetic.

      PRODUCT IS BAD, SALESMAN IS TERRIBLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. This was done in **********, ** and ******************* was our Salesman. He was terrible after we signed. Several bad things from the beginning to now (2 years later). When your first call they are quick to come out to get the sale.We looked at several samples of laminate floors. we wanted the one with scratch resistant because we have dogs and that was water proof . This was the most expensive one but we thought it would last a long time. The day that we agreed with what we wanted and the price his computer was not working correctly. He also wanted to add on window blinds to meet his quota at no additional cost to us (call his manager on the spot and got approval). When we were billed, we were billed a separate charge of nearly $1K for 3 Window Blinds (that we did not ask for). It took a year of going back and forth to finally get a refund check AFTER we paid off the credit card for interest free financing. **The contracted staff came to lay the flooring and moulding but it was not as professional as it should be for the price, we had to call them back out because the moulding was not attached to the wall in several places, the flooring was bubbling up in places, and separating in places. While they were here the first time they said they needed me to go get some more self leveling at Lowes because they did not bring enough. While I was gone, they must have been scrounging around because my wife's new *************** Purse was taken out of the dust bag and tote it was in, bottles of Alcohol were missing, and who knows what else we will be unable to find as we look for it. We had the while house in totes and boxes and everything on the patio so the floors could be put in, they would not let us move items from room to room as they got done. This left many things out in the open to be stolen. Back to the flooring, today we have a huge bubble in one of the bedrooms that will not lay flat. HORRIBLE

      The sales person was making a big deal out of the slashed price, which I knew it was super inflated. We live in a rural area and Empire was our only choices. The installers came by the first day around 1pm and he was supposed to show up at 9am. The next day only one installer showed up. This was supposed to be a two day job but ended up being 4 day that I had to take off from work. At first everything looked great. My brother came by and showed me where the tiles were misaligned and hardly any grout between the tiles and the molding they put in had gaps from where it was cut short (at least by an inch) and they never caulked it. Called Empire and they said someone would come out in about two weeks. 3 weeks later I am told that the floor needed to be inspected first. I let the csr know that I would not be actin the morning. She said no problem. Inspector calls the next morning to tell me he was on the way. Told him that I had told the empire csr that I could only do afternoon on that day. He told me that afternoons were not convenient for him. He said he would call me the next day or the next. Never heard back from him. Empires csr called me a week later to see how the inspection went!! I let her know that Empires service was horrible and I would fix it myself. Her response was ok then. I had to buy grout from ********** and caulk to fix myself after having to pay such a large amount of money. Dont buy the textured white and grey tile. I have ripped up three mops and now have to clean by hand.

      Beginning of this Month, I contacted Empire to put some new carpeting upstairs in my mothers house. The sales person came and mom picked out the carpet so far all is well. My mother is 90 years old and has the beginnings of dementia. We had an installation date of Nov 17th and the day before my mother had an anxiety attack as the elderly do. She was afraid of the strangers coming in her house and touching her things. So I had to cancel. When I spoke to the customer service rep was told my mother was not getting her $****** deposit back! And the 3 day recision period. Please my mother no way would understand that at this point. I think it is absolutely horrendous that you are basically stealing ****** from a 90 year old lady. I have message after message about this with absolutely no response. Unless you have lots of money to give away STAY AWAY!
