I had flooring put into the main level of my house. Paid deposit, over 2 grand, when installers arrived they wanted balance before starting work. (no problem) Bank would only allow me to take out 5 grand a day. (I told them I would pay the five grand and the other 2 tomorrow) They had 80 percent of the money and wouldnt start work. Installer pushed my husband to give him banking card info over the phone. (Ok, rude but ok, you had 80 percent)Week later my account # is stolen and being used. I called them, told my suspicion made police report. Contacted costumer service, relayed info and police report #'s. Asked for follow up but never received it. I have a few issues, but will not allow empire in my house to fix them. I think I was due at least a partial refund or an apology at very least. The carpet crew came later that day and a guy lost his coat. Probably the thieves from the hardwood installers that were there first and collected the money.This was the baltimore division, work done in **********, card was being used by thieves in *********, exactly where they get some of their labor.Empire Today, LLC

Empire Today installed our hardwood flooring in our home, and indoor outdoor carpeting on our porch. Both jobs were badly done. We called four times and were promised every time that they would send the crews out to repair the bad jobs. We were put on the schedules, but they never came. One of the people at Empire told us they could not reach the crews. This has been going on for months. They promise to call, and they don't. The crews never show up. We spent thousands of dollars and can get no response. They will not come out and fix the problems. Very bad service. If I could, I would give them NO STARS! Bad installs and absolutely terrible customer service. They outright lie. We need help to get this matter fixed. We have already paid for the services. We have used them several times over the last 22 years. Something has happened to this company. I am contacting the Attorney General of **** also.Empire Today, LLC

Ordered $6000 worth of carpet including install they showed up without enough carpet for the biggest room. I spoke to the salesman and he assured me it was his mistake and he would make it right at no cost to me. Then his corporate boss calls and gives me the run around telling me I have to pay another $500 to get the carpet and it will take another day. He was extremely rude and didnt care that the salesman said he would take care of any additional costs. He told the salesman not to accept my phone calls. We contracted with Empire today for new carpet to be installed today. The salesman assured me that they could move a heavy gun safe for the installation and charged me in the contract. Today, they show up and say they can't move the safe and leave. My wife spent two days taking everything out of our bedroom only to be told they won't install our carpet today. Our time is money too! I called the salesman who was no help in rectifying this matter. **************** was no help and only gave me the run around stating no supervisor was above her and she had no access to email. Stated she works from home. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, they have terrible reviews, I should have researched beforehand.Empire Today, LLC

WE purchased carpeting totaling $1,004.95. The Installation date...8/8/21. After a few weeks, the carpet began to peel and separate in an unacceptable manner,,,we never were happy with the carpet density, overall quality, & the color was not what we desired. Sadly, we did not adhere to the Caveat Emptor directive. However, with the passing of time, the thread pulling and deterioration is becoming more significant. On, 7/29/22 we sent an email outlining the situation...they did not respond. On 8/4/22 we talked with *****, who gave us a reference number. On 8/9/22 they took photos of the damaged carpet. Again no response, we then talked with ******* who gave us a new reference number again with no further esponse. This being unacceptable we talked with *****, the **************** Manager, who was not any help at all saying, after a review with their staff, we had to have the carpeting cleaned by professionals, as per company policy and direction of the manufacturer,,,the catch 22, we had to pay the cost of the cleaning. before they could proceed with the resolution. This was inane, and instead of talking with turkeys, we wrote to the eagles of Empire Today, namely CEO ****************** Senior ************ counsel. ***********************, seeking some relief. We suggested that ********** call us to disc;us a solution....a followup email also was ignored as was the first. Empire Today, has two major problems, poor quality of materials and or installation and horrendous customer service. I think what they need to do is issue us a reasonable rebate and apology.Empire Today, LLC

The absolute worst carpet i have ever purchased, and the Warranty means nothing when you attempt to get something resolved. my carpet is Buckled in three rooms, after only 2 years. They won't repair because i didn't have it cleaned. We were in the midst of Covid and what does cleaning have to do with buckling terrible terrible company and very bad carpet.Empire Today, LLC

We had laminate floors installed in our kitchen, dining area, laundry room, great room, and hallway in August 2021. A few months later, the floors started having ripples or cupping in the boards. Edges are not flush and are uneven in places. It looks horrible. We've been dealing with this since last March. In May another call and report was made. They came out in June to check it out, said it wasn't right and had to get a third party inspector to come look. This took place in June and he also said it wasn't right. He told us it would take 4-6 weeks for a determination as to what they would do to fix this for us. Now 3 months later, we are still waiting to hear something. Their customer service is horrible, and we did get a call last week from the manufacturer in ** stating they now have to set up another inspector to come check it out. Over another week later now, and we have heard nothing to that call. We are so frustrated with Empire, and wish we had NEVER gone with them. They had better fix this issue for us. Our entire floor probably needs to be replaced. So much money spent, and a horrible experience.Empire Today, LLC

Warranty and **************** Plan are worthless! Nobody answers the so called 24/7 service number. When we finally got a hold of a service rep, she set an appointment for an inspector to come assess the damage, but no one showed up on the day of the appointment. We had already rearranged our schedule so that someone would be home that entire day to wait for an inspection that never came. We did not even get a confirmation the day before or the day of the appointment. I called service rep's ********* again to confirm, but as always, no one answered or responded to my voicemail. Do not buy the extended service plan! It does not cover anything beyond minor bumps and scratches. Plumbing leaks are not covered. It was a total waste of time and money even though our floors were done just 3 months ago!Empire Today, LLC

1 starWe had Empire install flooring in our rental a week ago. In the process, the installers broke one of the closet doors, and tried to hide the fact by moving the hinges so the door would close correctly. Now, even with the pictures we took of the damage, Empire is saying that they did not cause the damage, we did. We spent 4 weeks cleaning and painting the entire house before even having the flooring done. If we had damaged the door we would have fixed it. At the least we would have painted the bare wood where the original hinges were! They supposedly want to split the cost of the replacement door. No one has called me to discuss this which is unacceptable. I will NEVER use Empire again, and am passing the word on my the rest of my family. Professional sales. Represented ideas very well. Installers over and above what I expected. Careful of my treasures. Perfect install. No mess left. On time. I realize I probably did not choose the least expensive company, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend using Empire. I am over 70 years old.
