First salesman lied to me twice. Carpet installers broke a lamp, broke a piece off my break front, and broke a closet door. Besides leaving an absolute mess in my apartment and the co-op hallway, I contacted a manager and got absolutely no results or responses. I requested extra carpeting that I paid for but never received. They have ignored my texts and phone calls. So disappointed and angry.

Lack of professionalism. I had several issues with Empire Today. I picked out what I wanted for my bathroom, kitchen, living room, and one of the bedrooms. installers came to do the kitchen and bathroom but with the same flooring, two different floorings were picked out and had to go back and forth with the agent. Carpets were laid and within a month the carpets started to unravel in random places. I have archived "TWO" folders of text messages and several calls to him and was told to contact the company myself to get to the bottom of things. In the long run, they took the easy way out and said that it was basically the homeowner's fault. Okay, I don't have monies just to throw around and continue to allow these companies and people to take advantage of me as well as others. It's sad that with all that is going on in the world today ANYONE WIL DO ANYTHING just to get an extra dollar. Rating: *****Empire Today, LLC

Using Empire was an absolute disaster. First as any business or homeowner should do when hiring any contractor, I requested a certificate of insurance . ******************* the non-employee salesperson stalled and stalled right up to the 3-day cancellation period and I got a snotty email from him cc:d to an Empire employee, a ******************** saying , This guy has been threatening to cancel since we signed the contract. Attached was a certificate of insurance, it was not only expired, but it had also been altered and did not list me on it as is standard practice. Likely used for another customer or business whose name had visibly been ****** out and my name appeared nowhere. I got the old, Oh, were a big company. They dont act like one. Realize neither the salespersons nor installers are employees. They are all subcontractors. I asked who I call if there is a problem, salesperson said., You call me. The day arrived and they didnt show, I called the salesperson left two messages, two texts and two emails all with no response. When they finally did arrive, three hours late,it was almost a smash and grab. They showed up in an unmarked SUV with a trailer and no uniform shirts with a name, no name tags and didnt have any ID when I asked. They scowled throughout the installation. They broke my front door thermometer while bringing in materials. They broke two pieces of furniture and when applying the Pro Patch floor leveler they slopped it on my walls, dining table and bed legs. I worked in my office where flooring was not being installed. They had a radio just blaring and closing my door did not help. I asked for it to be turned down and it was turned up every time, until I unplugged it. Then I had the air conditioning in my house turned off but provided three fans. They opened all of the doors and windows letting in bugs dust and heat. To say this work was sloppy is being nice. Damage to our couch torn leather and broke off legs. Back door was cut a half an inch too short and now theres a gap in the bottom of the door which cant be fixed. Garage door didnt jam it will not do what its supposed to do. Floor was installed wrong and the installers had no equipment and install the floors wrong. They came back four times to fix the floor and its still not to my satisfaction. I do not want them to come back again but I do want some kind of justification for the door and the couch.Empire Today, LLC

We had laminated floors installed, but after the install I realized I did not like the color I had chosen. I was distraught and upset.Empire Today gave us our money back. No questions asked. We were very appreciative. Companies like this don't exist these days. I recommend Empire to my family and friends. Customer satisfaction comes first with this company.Thank You! Empire Today. Absolutely everything about this company was deceptive from the sales rep pricing to customer service response. I would have no floors rather than every have them back in my home. The second installers arrived thousands of dollars were added to the cost despite being told by the sales rep he had 20+ years experience and yet he could see there was a potential installation issue. Demanded full payment before they would start work despite contract saying the balance payment was due on completion. Once finished they cleaned my existing hardwood floors (not my newly installed floors) with who knows what, now it is smeared with splotches and foot prints where they walked the cleaner I was told damage to my home is my responsibility I was then offered $150 which I immediately told them wouldnt even come close to the cost of even a basic cleaning. I was told it was take it or leave it absolutely bullied into accepting as that was all they were prepared to do and I either accepted that or Id get absolutely nothing. Placed a call and a salesman came out. The salesman was an absolute gem. We set our appointment and all was well. On the day of the appointment i was no showed. They then expected me to take a day off work for them to come out and do it. I eventually caved and lost ****** for them to no show me a second time. Their customer service was atrocious and even getting my deposit back took 17 phone calls. They are unreliable, their customer support is just non exsistant and unbelievable. Our salesman was great and even made a second trip to our home to review which carpet we wanted. I was very pleased with the carpet quality and price. The installers did a good job on installing the carpet and cleaning away the old one. The only problem we had was that the installer didnt rehang our newly made closet doors correctly. The salesman was helpful in making a claim with the company and the company was great in reimbursing us to have our contractor rehang the closet doors and for the painter who had to repaint them after that. With products and customer service like this we will definitely recommend this company to our friends.Empire Today, LLC

Empire Todays is a terrible company to work with and if I could give ZERO stars, I would. Installed flooring in kitchen, immediately there was issues with it cupping. I reported, was told it had to settled, waited 3 months, got worse, reported again, took 3 months more for them to send repairman, floor could not be repair, Empire repairman told me it was installed incorrectly. Kept calling, they would not fix floor, kept calling, then I was told had to hire independent inspector, so I did, he reported floor installed incorrectly. **** calling again and then was told, they disagree and was not fixing the floor nor refunding my money. The floor is so bad now it is pinching our feet and cut my daughters foot. This is wrong on so many levels.Empire Today, LLC

First of all the worker showed up and they were very unprofessional I didn't know if it was really them or not they were not any kind of uniform. They were very nice and respectful but the work they did was very poorly done they scratched my bathroom cabinets with her jackhammers my baseboards were ruined I have several photos that I can show if they would like to see them. My house is fairly new is only seven years old so there was no scratches and no problems in the area Before they did the work . I would not recommend using Empire today .I have been trying to get a hold of Empire today for about three days now I've left messages the complaint department and I get no response or customer service is terrible do not use this company. anyone unfortunately this company is not as good as it used to be I use them on another house that I owned about 12 years ago and he did a great job. But the people they used were subcontracted and didn't even speak English.Empire Today, LLC
