      Purchased LVP June of 2021 and new carpet Dec 2021 by this company. Both services i got their extended warranty. Installation went well.. but , Not even 2 yrs in and my LVP starts lifting. Called to file a claim and was later told that my claim was denied. No one never even called me or came to look at my floors but denied my claim. How crazy. Fast forward to 8/2024, i called because 2 of my planks are cracking and its supposed to be covered under my extended plan. **** tells me that my extended plan has expired. How? When I purchased a 5 yr plan.. she says it was only 3 yrs (very misleading info) and if I wanted to get my floor Fixed, they can send someone out for $150 and then ill be responsible for repairs.. HOW CRAZY IS THIS???? Between both installs, i spent almost 12k and cant even get the extended services plan i paid for, for my LVP. This is a horrible experience and will definitely not be using this company again. Now I'm left with lifting planks in my kitchen and 2 cracked planks that ill have to pay out of pocket to fix. Extended service plan is a joke. Shop elsewhere.

      I want to warn people about my husbands and my experience with Empire Today as we recently had an unacceptable experience with them.Recently my husband had some medical issues that put him in the hospital several times. One of the issues was in internal stomach bleed so much that he was throwing up a lot of blood on our bedroom carpet. I called for an ambulance and followed it to the hospital. When I got home, there was quite a mess on the carpet. I couldnt clean all the blood off of it. We talked and decided to pull the carpet and lay down tile.Again, I want to emphasize that my husband was hospitalized with both gastronomic bleeding and heart problems. Double checking that I received the correct tile that I had ordered was not top on my priority list. As my husband ended up back in the hospital the first day of installation. After things had settled down with my husband and he came home, I noticed that the box was a different tile than what I had ordered. I had ordered Riverbank Natural Driftwood received Mohawk Natural Forest.Realizing that I received the wrong Tile after all the hospital visits, I reached out to Empire Today after things had settled down. I called customer service 4 times. The first time I was told I would hear from someone within 3 to 5 business days. A week went by so I called for a second, and third time. I was told I would hear something from the manager within 24 hours that did not happen. I called a fourth time they gave me to someone else who said if I didnt hear anything by Friday morning to call him directly and he gave me his number thank you for that! An hour or so later, the manager called me and explained that I had signed pre-laying down paperwork and finish the job paperwork stating that it was the correct tile and the job was completed. This is definitely true, but I want people to know to make sure they double check before they sign anything no matter what your circumstances at home might be.

      I purchased ceramic tile and engineered engineered hardwood flooring April 2024. I have had nothing but trouble with the ceramic tile for one it has continuously kept separating from the backer board/pin holes in grout . It started 3-4 days after the ceramic tile was installed I called for a service request in 3 months time Empire came out installed/fixed ***** tiles over 5 service visits I was told not to call anymore I had too many service requests.. Then I had to hire outside help to come in to replace 4 tiles and now I have a additional 16 tiles that are needing repair. I have had a contractor come out for my bathroom because we had 1955 wet walls that needed to he addressed and he said the tiles are not straight, and if ceramic tiles are laid properly they should be down for life. He said it would take a week just for the kitchen but Empire's Crew managed to do my kitchen and two bathrooms in 2 days while they walked all over the wet tiles and even placed furniture on it. It's been a nightmare and this contractor said this flooring will never be right sadly. It really saddens me that I spent 17 grand on this and was even contacted by a check company claiming I had not paid the bill when it was paid in full, we had to stay in the vehicles for a week while the engineered hardwood and ceramic tile was installed. I called yesterday and was given a reference number after I told Empire what the contractor told me to only be told someone would contact me in 1-3 business days it seems to be the standard just give a reference number and say 1-3 business days but no real resolution to the problem. My counter top suffered damage in 2 areas and I had a broken fan with ruts in the yard. I fixed the ceiling fan with a new one. Please hire contractors who know how to install ceramic tile as the customers are paying the ultimate price..
