After being supplied a very high estimate to install vinyl flooring, we decided to wait, mostly due to the homeowner not allowing changes before the sale closes (we are purchasing the property in question). We were sent to a individual in **. Instead of canceling the install as we have requested -- and had a right to do per the contract -- he started asking personal questions about why we were canceling the order, and if price could be adjusted to keep the install on schedule. Clearly, this was not customer service, but rather a detention rep, and a somewhat rude one at that. I informed this individual that it was not his concern and asked, again, to cancel the install. He started the whole, "Well, if you read the contract..." talk with me, and informed me that we needed to submit this cancellation in writing, but if I answered his questions he'd do it over the phone. So, I played along, but I only supplied detail-excluded answers that couldn't be refuted, and he eventually granted our request. I felt as if I was being pressured to buy a car, and everybody I know hates that. It's predatory and unprofessional. After this experience, not only will I never use Empire Today's services, but I'll steer everyone I know away from them, too. Absolutely terrible experience.Empire Today, LLC
