5 starsI’ve been a member for almost 15 years. Their customer service is always stellar and my issues, though rare, always get resolved timely. 5 starsI've been banking with CU1 for over a decade. I have my checking, savings, mortgage, credit card and loans all under one roof. CU1 has consistently worked to improve their services over the 12 years I have been with them. Their online banking is mostly straightforward and simple, they offer products that are competitive with big banks, and their team is accessible, friendly and local. I've never had a major issue with them in all these years, and the team there has been great to me. Their systems work well with each other which is why I'm willing to use it.
Recently I needed a personal loan to help with consolidating bills and investing in my home. Lisa at the UIC East branch and Shaneice in the Loans department worked to get my loan closed in under one business day, and because I was already using CU1 checking, I was able to access the money immediately.
Credit Unions are healthier for our local economy than big banks. They invest local, they care about their clients, and they work hard to do their best for their clients. I truly love my credit union and I recommend it to everyone I talk to!Review fromChristopher P

1 starThis company is a sham. They did not answer the phone during standard business hours and the machine kept rerouting me to leave a voicemail message. They garnered personal information online in order to open the account (which I was excited about regarding the ease of opening a credit union account from my couch) however follow up emails with requests for me to click on odd internet links in order to enter further information piqued my concern. This is a fraudulent company 100% but they're very savvy at making it all look real. TAKE CAUTION AND AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!Review fromDarlene G
