I have submitted 3 separate emails to get Power of Attorney set up for my elderly father's Discover Card. I have called Discover 4 separate times and continue to be told to re-submit the paperwork. They have never called me and have transferred me several times just to lose the connection.Business Response

I am writing to respectfully request assistance regarding a series of late payments reported on my Discover account in ******* October 2019, I contacted Discover and was informed by a representative that my account was successfully enrolled in autopay. Based on this communication, I traveled internationally for a study abroad program and reasonably trusted that my payments would be processed automatically while I was away.Upon returning to *****************, I discovered that autopay had not properly activated, and my account became past due between March and May 2020. I understand that Discover's internal records show autopay activation occurred in December 2020; however, I acted in good faith based on the information I received at the time.Since then, I have demonstrated responsible financial behavior by maintaining a perfect payment history and working diligently to rebuild my credit. I respectfully request that Discover consider a goodwill adjustment to remove the reported late payments from my credit history.I am not disputing that payments were missed rather, I am requesting a reconsideration based on the circumstances and the significant positive payment behavior I have shown over the past several years.I appreciate your time and consideration in reviewing this request and look forward to a resolution that acknowledges the genuine nature of my situation.Thank you very much.Business Response

I did all they asked, last They asked me if I filled my taxes , which I did and gave them authorization to my tax transcript, they closed my account claiming they could not verify me, wasting hard inquiry, I ask to open my my account back as I had no issue with other credit cards companies ,Also I discussed and heard they did that to many friends and they need to be held accountable.Business Response

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent chargeback request with Discover Bank related to transactions associated with my TikTok account. I've been a Discover customer for a long time but their dispute team is deficient in understanding customer's disputes. I would think twice about a Discover credit card because I've had similar issues with other credit cards and never had an issue with them properly crediting my account. I will be cancelling my Discover card.1. I ordered $156.95 in clothing from what I thought was an **************** called **************************2. When I got the clothing it was horrible. Wrong sizes, didn't look like what I ordred, cheaply made, etc... After more digging, I found out it was a *************** posing as a company in *** 3. I contacted the retailer who said I had to return everything to ***** for a refund. I then filed a dispute.4. Discover investigated and said because you still have the merchandise there is nothing they can do. I told Discover I want to return it, I don't want it, but nowhere in the Terms of Service or Return Policy does it state that I have to return it to *****. 5. I then disputed it again with Discover and provided a copy of the terms of service and return policy that doesn't state ANYWHERE that it needs to be returned to *****. I just wanted to return the items back to a *** location where they advertise they are located by placing an American flag at the bottom and listing a USA phone number 6. Discover once again reversed my credit. 7. On 4/23/25 I literally got into an argument where the Discover *** said it doesn't matter what the terms and service and return policy states if you don't return the merchandise there's nothing we can do 8. I said so if the merchant says you have to return it to the planet **** but you don't have an address and can't return it that is ok....and she said YES!! This is pure madness 9. Like I said, I've never had a problem with other credit card companies so this is a learning experience. I won't be using my DISCOVER card and will be cancelling it.Business Response

I just want everyone who uses Discover to think twice because they are the only credit card company that fails to take a lack of specifics and details in the terms & conditions and return policy on a merchant's website. Discover's dispute resolution team literally told me that the terms and condition and return policy doesn't matter. It blows my mind.
