      Good Morning,I am writing this to inform you that I am filing a complaint against Discover. Right now I am currently unemployed and I have been looking for a job since January. I have not been able to financially support myself. I lost my apartment, lost my job Now I made an agreement with Discover to enter their Hardship Program. I entered this program last summer. I was paying it but then when I lost my job I couldnt make the payments. So I have been requesting to ask for extensions because I need extra time to get the money together to make monthly payment's but due to the fact I have no money and no job I am unable to pay. I asked Discover to make one more extension, I even tried asking to pay in smaller amounts but they have refused to allow me to pay the amount that I can afford at the moment.I can barely afford food and clothing. I explained all this to them but they are still threatening to close my account with them. Which is absolutely unfair to me. I have been loyal to this company for many years and right now I am trying to get back on my feet but due to the current economic situation and my financial situation. I need more time. But they are refusing. Please help me reach a resolution. I am willing to paying lower monthly payments. They are threatening to close my account this Friday if I dont pay a certain amount. Which is unfair because I already told them my situation and they are refusing to work it out with me. Please help me.

      Your company is not lowering the monthly payments to what I can afford at the moment. I cannot afford the $189 per month payments. I have to lower that. It is too much. I am not employed at the moment. I am still looking for work and I have explained this several times with this company.

      I received a call from Discover today about a past due amount. I told the person on the call I made a payment already but realized I forgot to hit Submit. He insisted on staying on the line while I made the payment, or having him process it over the phone, which I thought was odd. I then realized he came through as my doctor's office phone number. I think people should be made aware that Discover is using Spoofing software on their calls. I will be cancelling my credit card, which I've had 24 years and if Discover is outsourcing this service to a third party vendor, they should be made aware they are leveraging illegal Spoofing software.

      Obtaining a Home Equity loan from Discover Home Loans was a nightmare. Multiple people handling your file with no one knowing what the others are doing. Their portal only works part of the time. Employees refuse to give their supervisor name or contact info. Funding was delayed due to internal errors and they started charging interest on the loan before proceeds were received. ***** ********** NMLS ****** adamantly refused to give the name of his supervisor after asking him repeatedly. TERRIBLE customer service and problem resolution. I want a refund of interest charges until I am in receipt of loan proceeds and compensation for their delays and my infinite frustration.

      Hello I would like to request the reinstatement of my ****************************** reached out about verifying my identity on a secured credit account that I had opened. I should state that fraudsters go for financial benefit and there is no benefit in a secured account as I had to put up the money in the first place. 500 dollars for a 500dollar credit line. So this whole thing doesnt make any sense what type of fraudster is going to give up their own money to open an account in your name ? NONE None the less I complied, They sent me this link for equifax but it never worked I would try from different devices, phones laptops and everything included and it would just say expired. I contacted them on more than one occasion to send me another link and which they would do and it would just say the same thing. Moving on to the form which they had me take to a bank., I completed that as well and faxed it over but they say they havent recieved it. This whole thing is a mess and it seems as though discover is truly unorganized. I sent that form over on three different occasions and all I would get is maybe its sill processing, Its truly ridiculous! I did my part, discover dropped the ball on theirs, there is no reason I should be punished for something that's not my fault. I would like my account reinstated, I have tried complying with this id verification even though its uncalled for on a secured account in which i submitted the money. I am happy to submit the forms in fact i did three times. Please reopen the account

      I am rejecting this response because: I responded to discover and their requests on both occasions that they claim in fact more than that. I tried doing the link that they provided however it was expired and  not working every time I tried . I also submitted my form via the banker nortizarion that they requested with my identity docs  and no response  I did what I was supposed to do however with no response from the bank.

      i am happy to verify my identity and have tried to do so within the time that discover required however its seems that my numerous efforts have gone into a black hole I should not be punished for discover not processing things correctly as I did my part by submitting the documents in the timeframe required

      I have made a number off calls to Discover card about an erroneous charge on my account of $119.88. During the last call approximately a week ago, I was told my their dispute department that a credit would show on my account within 72 hours. No credit has yet been issued on my account.

      3/11/2025 I sent $1999.00 out of my Discover savings account to my business account with ***************. 3/12/2025 Discover reverse the $1999.00 back to Discover account and zero out the dollar amount like it never happened. I called several times with no result's. Discover needs to reverse the reverse and reinstate the funds back into my Discover savings account.

      Discover failed to protect me as a consumer from fraudulent and scammers online from *****. Discover repeatedly lied to me and did not help me recover the fund even though I submitted all documentations that it asked. When called, Discover changes it story every single time. Discover advertised protection for consumers for fraud and scam when using the card but they failed and did not want to take action against the merchant. At this point, seller agreed to give refund but I would not received it because Discover and ****** are the one that stopping me from obtaining my refund. Attached are email from seller that said he agreed to provide refund but could not issue refund due to transaction being held up by both ****** and Discover card. When I asked to close the dispute both companies pointing fingers at each other and me as consumer being push back and forth. I need someone with authority to check in my case and give me the justice I deserve.

      I have been a customer for ******************** over ** years in good standing. I made my monthly payments without any issues. However, due to my medical issue and unemployment I contacted Discover to lower my monthly payments and they refused. Just last month, March 2025 they blocked me from making a minimal payment as they want to charge off my account! They increase my balance, interest, late fees, etc. Discover destroyed my credit and continue to increase the balance on the account to over ($21,000). My resolution is for Discover to fix my credit immediately, settle the account to smaller amount as paid off, and close it!

      Discover serviced my student loans and every year when they sent me my tax form, it had the "taxable state" listed incorrectly. I am ******************** and my legal residence is *******, however I am stationed in **************. I ensured that my profile with their portal system had my permanent address listed as ******* and provided my North Carolina address as my mailing address. For all three years for which I received a tax document from them, they erroneously listed NC as my taxable state. I have had to call and fight with them every year to get this fixed. This year (tax year 2024) it happened again. I called them on February 25th, 2025 to notify them of the error and to get it fixed. I was told they would look into it and work on correcting the document. I called again on March 4th, ****************************************************************************** further. Finally, on March 19th, 2025, I called a third time, as the document was STILL not fixed. I received a call, finally, on March 25th, 2025, and was told that they had escalated the issue and I should hear back with the solution within 30 days from the "day of complaint" which they had listed as March 19th. When I mentioned I had called back in February to start this process, they did nothing but apologize and said March 19th was the day they listed in their report. Tax day was April 15th. This was regarding a tax document. They offered no other options. It is now April 21st, beyond the 30 day window they gave me, and I have not been contacted, a new form has not been sent to me, and I had to file my taxes with the incorrect form and hope that it isn't flagged since I do not pay NC taxes. This is absolutely unacceptable.

      Discover card changed mailing address without card holder knowledge or consent. Discover card states address has been correct but since February the address was changed and not corrected as requested several times by the card holders.The billing address is ***************************************. Any future late fees incurred due to discover noncompliance to the card holder request will be discover cards responsibility, not the card holder. Billing address as requested by the card holder is ****************************************************************************************

      I am rejecting this response because: I received a copy of discover card response from ****** from the executive office of customer advocacy. 
      I called ****** concerning his response that failed to address the issue. The card holder requested and the card holder family requested, that this card original address remain the same. The card holder has a recurring foreign and domestic address change. Therefore to avoid missed payments, is why the ***** family requested the address remain the same. Discover card states a change of address was received from the US Postal Service. But the card holder and the card holder family contacted discover card and requested several times over three months to reinstate the original address for payment. The failure of discover card to reinstate the original address as requested my the card holder is being evaded by ******. ****** did verbally state the address has been reinstated for future payments but he failed to state this fact in writing. ****** and I had a long conversation about this issue of omission. The ***** family would like to thank the Better Business Bureau for assisting us in getting this issue to this point.
