      Lakeshore Recycling Services has been contacted several times about this issue. Their trucks pick up the recycling/garbage at ************************** (******************************************** *****) between 3:00-5:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. The City Code clearly states that in residential areas such dumpster pick *** should occur after 7 a.m. The loud backing up noise and crashing of the dumpster awakens the household.

      LRS damaged my garage with their pickup arm but refused to honor any claim for repairs.

      I moved from the service address of ****************************************************************** account number ******. On 8/**/**, I called and spoke to someone to stop my service. They said I would receive a refund for the overpayment of the invoice for July-****************** I was told it would be 1-2 weeks for the refund and I would receive a check in the mail. On 9/12/22, I called because I did not receive the refund. The rep said she could see the service was stopped with last pickup date of 8/16/22, but she did not understand why I was not issued a refund, she said she would contact management and call me back. On 9/13/22, I called again and was told a ***** refund will be issued back to the card used for the payment (not a check like I was told initially) and it would take 1-2 weeks, to get a status I could call back in 2 weeks. On 9/26/22, I called and was transferred to ********************************* voicemail. I did not leave a message, but emailed the service email address and was told ***************************** has to process it. I emailed ***************************** on 9/26/22 and again on 9/28/22, no response. On 9/29/22, I sent another email and included *****************************, a contact listed on the BBB website. I finally received a response that they would not be able to issue me a refund on my credit card, but they could issue a check. They led me to believe that would be the quickest way and was told they would escalate my check and asked for an address. I gave my address. I followed up on 10/5/22 to see when the check would be issued and was told it would be another ***** days. I sent another email asking for a quicker resolution since it has been over 50 days since my last pickup and over 40 days since I called to stop service, no response as of 10/6/22. I was misled each time I spoke with someone and was given different information each time I spoke with someone and still do not have a refund.

      Around 6 months ago as of 8/1/22, I had begun to receive charges that I had not signed up for on my garbage at my business. What I signed up for was for garbage collection at $20 and for the first 6 months of my service this was what I was charged plus small fees which resulted around $25-$28 total. However now they continuously raise and change my monthly charges nearly DOUBLE or even more than double than what I had signed up for. This is an unjust business practice and nothing changed so I dont understand why the prices changed so drastically. Ive called LRS and spoken with several different people there and I always got the same response of this is what you have to pay (the outrageous prices) because of from fees. The fees again make no sense because NOTHING HAS CHANGED. The amount of garbage and materials are still the same as the first 6 months so I dont understand the drastic **** change. Ive constantly emailed, called, and visited in person to tell them that I was willing to pay but ONLY the amount we had agreed upon which was the $20 a month but each time they just say its in the contract. Now theyre demanding I pay about $400 or theyll take it to collections and I refuse to pay it. I will ONLY pay for the $20 monthly I had been promised. Its a very scummy practice to start of the job as what I was promised only to double my price simply because the company wanted to. Again, I will not pay the $400, its ridiculous and I will only pay the months I didnt (which were all because I emailed the company asking them to charge me only the $20 monthly we had agreed upon) if they company stays true to their word and charges me the amount that I has signed up for. They constantly call me asking me to pay and I tell them the same thing every time that I have no problems paying for the $20 and small fees Id signed up for and now theyre threatening me with sending this to debt collections if I dont pay their ludicrous charges.

      Thank you for reaching out with your concern. A service quote was provided to you on May 26, 2021. The service quote estimated that your total charge would be around $25.00 per month. The proposal also explains that our fuel fee fluctuates each month with fuel prices. A service agreement was signed on June 8, 2021 with a base rate of $19.00 plus variable fuel and environmental fees as stated in the service quote, which placed your total around $25.00 per month. You did have an increase in your rates. As per the contract that was signed, we have the ability to increase rates to cover our increasing costs. Over the past year, rates have increased at historic highs: CPI, fuel, labor, disposal, equipment costs, etc. We have abided by our service agreement. We have not received a payment from you since September 2021 and you have refused to pay what was agreed upon in your quote and service agreement that you signed.
