      I received mail regarding activating my extended warranty. As I purchased the extended warranty at the time of purchasing my vehicle, I thought this company was associated with ******* Upon calling ******* I found out this company was a scam. They charged me $232.72 to send me a pamphlet that described my warranty, and activate it. Two of which never occurred.

      I am rejecting this response because: when I called your company, the sales woman falsely indicated you were affiliated with ******* She stated she was aware of my already existing extended warranty and that I needed to pay $232 to "activate" my extended warranty through ****** as well as to receive a pamphlet (which I have not received to this day) explaining my coverage. This is fraudulent and inaccurate information. After researching your company, it is clear you are a scam and doing this to many people.

      I am rejecting this response because: "The service representative was unaware ******************** had a prior warranty with another company." This is an inaccurate statement. The reason why I brought up my previous car history was in relation to my existing warranty, which I informed the representative about. Again, she explained to me that I had to "activate" my existing warranty through Subaru, hence why I was charged the $232. I was also not told about the recurring charges. I have made two attempts at calling your customer ********************** line. After not being able to get through to your line, I was unable to leave a voicemail due to the your voice mailbox being full.

      Again, this issue will not be resolved until I am fully refunded.

      I was contacted by Sky **** in early October after buying a new car at a dealership in my city. They sent me a letter that said I needed to activate the coverage for my vehicle. I contacted them to learn more and asked if this was through the dealership in regards to my warranty there. They said yes and that it would be a one time fee of $180. I received my "protection plan" in the mail which informed be that I have to pay $180 a month for two years. I've been trying to contact them but it says I'm calling outside business hours which are Mon-Fri, 10-5:00 pm. Both times I've called have been well before 5 pm. I try to leave a message but it says the mailbox is full. I want to cancel whatever "plan" this is and be refunded my $180 because they told me false information.

      First transaction was on December 30th, 2022 for $230.61. Transactions proceed for 10 months, my current awareness of the unknown charge occurring monthly was October 18th, 2023. Overall amount paid to unknown warranty to date is $2,306.1. I did not commit to any warranty from business, business appears on bank statement as vehicle warranty but when number on bank statement was called was told it was an appliance warranty. I have not bought appliances. Company name was not given, although told was an affiliate of best buy. However a case number was given being ********. I called best buy to confirm transactions and affirmed no warranty has ever been purchased on any transaction made at the store. Number contacted is ************. Nature of dispute is fraud. Business has not been compliant in being responsive, assumingly avoiding matter at hand. I have never answered spam calls nor have I responded to spam mail. Monthly payment has been taken out of my debit card, I have suspended that card as of October 19th. Unknown how personal information was taken. Seeking full refund of money stolen from account from business.

      I am rejecting this response because: Good afternoon. I have been waiting to here back from sky auto since I was informed of there response last week on Thursday October 26th. 

      The first phone call last Thursday, October 26th, I was told by customer ********************** I would be contacted soon after they had spoke to management about obtaining audio record for proof of service. I only received an email detailing the warranty coverage they claim I signed up for.

      I called customer ********************** again this morning to obtain audio proof that I supposedly called in the warranty last December. I was told I would be called back to notify me if the audio records have been deleted or not. There operations hours open at 8 and close at 4 which is why today I have waited to respond to the BBB case until 4 pm today. 

      I am aware today is the last day for me to respond to our case. I didnt expect the case to close midday. I would like for the case to be reopened. I am not satisfied with their response and still wish to seek full refund.

      I received a letter in the mail telling me to contact this company to "activate" my warranty on the car I just purchased. I was told I would need to pay an "activation fee" of $202 and then I'd be covered. Lo and behold, I receive a booklet in the mail telling me about my new monthly payments I was never told about. I'll eat the $202 charge as punishment for being foolish. But I want my policy canceled immediately, and my information removed from their data base.

      I purchased a car in October of 2022. In November 2022, I began being charged $201.26 monthly. The "contract" they send me says I signed "by phone". I do not have any documents of my own stating this, nor do I have a document with an actual signature from them. I contacted the dealership I purchased my car from and they said that they do not work with that company. Per the BBB, it seems like the company is a scam. My wife and I only just noticed the charges, as we thought they were insurance until we called our bank. I have canceled my policy with them and am filing a claim whit my bank now. The person I talked to at Sky Auto Protection (possibly named ******) was fairly helpful and was able to cancel the policy for us. I had spoken to another representative that was quite rude and refused any refund and only tried to talk me out of canceling and wouldn't listen when I attempted to explain to him what was going on, further leading me to believe this is a scam. The dealership I worked with also stated that this company is a scam, and to cancel and request a refund.

      Ive called the company because I received a message that my policy was past due. I was told I was supposed to pay 24 months in the amount $179.00 which is not what I was told on the phone. Making the first time payment if I had known I would be paying for 24 months I would have not signed up for this policy. The person I spoke to *** was very rude, was laughing on the phone, saying it wasnt his problem that I did not read my booklet because Im a first time buyer. He wouldnt give me his name at first, he wouldn't transfer me to anybody else - saying he was the highest in his department. Was asking who am I going to call when my car breaks down which is none of his business. I would not recommend this company.

      I got a letter in the mail about a car warranty from Sky Protection-Service Activation and I didnt think anything about it until shortly after I called and gave them my card information. I searched about it and everything says its a scam. I called them back the next day to cancel my plan and was told to wait until I got a booklet in the mail to make my decision and to have a nice day. I called my bank and closed my debit card and theyre sending me a new one but Im concerned Sky Protection having any other information on me or somehow still owing them money. I would like to cancel whatever plan or agreement with them. The coverage ID they gave me was **********.

      I received a letter from this company in regards to a car I purchased. Called them, they tried to quote me for $200. I knew that part was financed in my sale, so I cross referenced the dealership that I bought the vehicle from. They have no record of this company, they don't know who they were, and the dealership outright called them a scam.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      At no point does this organization openly and honestly discuss that they are not the same warranty provided by the dealer, that they are a separate entity that is optional, and use sales tactics that mislead consumers. This company has a litany of complaints in regards of extending contracts and additional charges to consumers. This company seems to have a long history of using these predatory practices to the point there are many complaints on the BBB. When I filed my complaint, the same company has a warning from the BBB.

       

      Honestly there's nothing to pride themselves in. Their practices are absolutely predatory, and all state's attorneys generals should be investigating their organization. Who knows how many little old ladies they've scammed into buying protections they don't need. 

       

      There were complaints too that mechanics don't honor their waivers. There's probably a reason for that.

       

      Until all the issues are addressed, which include transparent communication with consumers, they are a predatory scam that somehow flies under the radar of governing agencies that probably don't investigate things like they should.

      As many others have stated on here in the reviews and the website itself informs me, I was told that this company was a part of my current warranty I purchased on my vehicle. I was put under the assumption that they needed a one time activation charge for my coverage to be activated, and now I have been charged twice more on top of that. I contacted the business on September 27th, 2023 about this, obviously irate. They refunded one of the charges since it had been processed that day but informed me that for the remaining two charges of $201.50 I would have to send them a notarized letter with specific information. I will provide this letter below for clarity, however they did not provide me with an official form to be notarized, and my bank informed me they could not send this. This also seems like a common pattern for this company based on reviews. I attempted to call today to resolve this and it is outside of there business hours and I no longer want to waste time stressing over this situation and am asking the BBB for assistance.Please see the attached document for the letter.
