      I purchased a new car and when I call the extended warranty *** Select Publications answered my call. I asked numerous times why *** select publications answered my call. After 6-times calling for my extended warranty I finally got through to the warranty company after 4pm. I do not know how *** Select Publication was able to piggy back on the warranty company's phone number, but this company needs to be investigated for deceptive practices. Also, I ********* Select Publications uses fear tactics on the employees and that is why my questions were not answered, because of fear of losing their jobs, but that is just my interpretation.

      Was mailed a letter to activate service agreement. From previous experiences I know this type of scam very well. I currently dont have a car registered to my name which makes this type of letter from a business like this very predatory.

      Purchased 6/26/2019. Only tried using this service once and was denied because the problem was not listed as one that was covered. Tried using it again for a problem that was covered with my vehicle and was told I was over the miles. I just feel I never used the service and paid out all this money over time and not received any thing. I feel I should be refunded for all or some of my money.

      Sky **** has been taking money out of my account for months for a plan that I did not sign up for and did not need! I called and canceled the plan as soon as I could figure out who was billing me and requested a refund. I was told to receive a refund I would have to send in my VIN, full name, phone number, and mileage with my signature and signed by a notary, so I have done that. I called today 12/05 to confirm that they received the paperwork via fax and they did, we are now being told that we must wait for a phone call on the 22nd of the month. This phone call will be with the billing manager and he will tell us what day we are to receive our refund. We were initially advised to NOT miss this call or we would NOT receive our refund. When pressed the agent said we could call back on the 22nd if we miss the call but there is simply no way to speak to a billing manager sooner. This company has stolen over $1K from me while ** undergoing the most rigorous mental health treatments available in the U.S. AND while my husband undergoes DAILY CHEMOTHERAPY for his blood cancer. These people have no compassion, nor do they care. This is 100% a scam. If Sky **** does not return the funds as promised we will proceed with the proper ********************* processes. Attached are photos of proof of coverage when we asked Sky **** for the policy we pay for. You can see that they generated the username and password for our account. This is further proof that we did not sign up for this policy. The other photo is of the coverage the policy offers. For an auto policy it is terrifyingly vague (the insurer) and does not outline actual policy terms or conditions.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      The letter from Sky **** claims that this policy was knowingly opened in March but it was a deception and scam. They also claim to have call records for ALL of the calls that have been made INTO Sky ****, additionally, they offered to provide transcripts but I want the audio recording, as well as the transcripts from March. It will be EXTREMELY clear that the documentation Sky **** sends out is deceptive AND predatory. 

      Additionally, we would like copies of ALL calls made to Sky ****. You will see how deceptive they are when they say things like "this is the plan that came with your vehicle" but Sky **** absolutely has NO ASSOCIATION with my car manufacturer, the vehicles warrantee, or the protection plan that is offered with the PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. 

      I would also request from Sky **** a copy of the PINK flyer/ notice they send out to "customers, you will see that what they're doing is not okay. This entire company has been ripping people off for years now and it must stop.

      Lastly, the response from Sky **** stating "On 11/30/2023, ************ contacted us again with questions about the policy, and our representative not only addressed his questions but also sent out an additional booklet for reference." Despite this statement, today 12/27/2023, a booklet, letter, card, or ANY postage from Sky **** has not been received, this can be verified with **** as all of our mail is scanned and emailed for record. When this "booklet was mailed" Sky **** also gave us "access" to our online "portal" to access the insurance information and it literally has NO POLICY information, nothing. I will gladly give the BBB access to this portal with the password and username that Sky **** created for me.

      I don't want a prorated refund, I am demanding a FULL REFUND from this scam insurance company.

      I received a letter offering an extended vehicle warranty, I called and signed up and never received the warranty packet they said I would. I called back and asked for a refund on 11/21. I never got the refund and the person was rude, laughing at me and unprofessional. I called back again and same issue. Id like a refund and to report this business as a scam.

      I purchased my warranty policy in September, this week I had the unfortunate experience of needing to use it because according to the mechanic I was referred to by this agency there is an issue with my transmission. I was also informed that my policy would not cover these expenses would not be covered because according to Sky Auto Protection it had been under 30 days. If I had this policy since September, how would this not be within the timeframe where Id be covered? I am beyond frustrated and feel like this is a violation of my contract.

      On 9/19 I received a letter in the mail from Sky **** stating that I had just a few days until left to activate my auto warranty before it would expire. This letter had all of my info including name, car model and even mileage, and appeared to be from the ** dealership (it wasnt). Seeing as my car was currently in the shop getting some major repairs done, I figured this was someone with ** reaching out. I called the number thinking I needed to do so to ensure my car was being taken care of. I spoke with one of the representatives and they assured me that they were part of my dealership warranty (which they arent) and that I needed to pay a one time fee of $217.90 to activate my warranty. They were very keen that this was a ONE TIME payment. I gave them my card info over the phone and paid the fee, thinking this was a necessary part of my dealers warranty. Two months have passed and after checking my bank statements, this company has been charging me $217.90 EVERY month under SS Vehicle Warranty ****** ** since that phone call, totaling $653.70 to date. I already have a full warranty through my dealership and would never pay for another one I dont need. I even called the ** dealership to clarify, and they said they had never heard of this company and that it was likely a scam. After a quick internet search of Sky ****, it is apparent that this company is a complete SCAM. There are DOZENS of similar negative experiences on the BBB website, where people were tricked into paying for a warranty that they dont need, and then give you a hard time when you call and try to cancel. This company purposely and maliciously tricked me into paying for something I dont need. I already have a warranty and would never pay for another one. I am demanding a FULL refund of $653.70, no further payments, and that all services/plans are cancelled under my name immediately. If these conditions are not met, I have no problem taking full legal action against everyone involved.

      This business contacted me through both mail and text messages, presenting themselves as my current extended warranty company. Instead of telling me they were selling a warranty, they told me that I needed to "activate" my extended warranty or it would be invalid. I had just purchased a vehicle so I thought it was legitimate. Fortunately my bank was able to reverse the charges.

      After I purchased a vehicle, they sent me several mailers claiming I had to set up a warranty with them. I did so, no realizing I didn't need to. Employee over the phone assisting me claimed they would only charge me once for the warranty "activation", but saw a recent charge go through from them. I want a refund for the charges, and a cancelation of the contract.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and must make some notes in response. 

      While it is true that I received a full refund from the business, I have not received confirmation of the cancellation in any way, nor have I received assurance they won't charge my debit card in future. 

      Additionally, it is an outright lie from the business to claim I called to cancel my services on November 10. I have had no communication with the business since setting up the fraudulent vehicle warranty. This business is an outright scam, and the BBB would do well to note it as such. It is also an outright lie to suggest I was informed about the monthly charge. I was told only one charge would be made to "activate the warranty". That's it. 

      Again, I cannot stress enough this business is so blatantly a scam. I only wished I paid more attention in the beginning. Only a sham business would refund everything to not be taken to court. I have received all of the refund, however, so I suppose the response is technically satisfactory, although they are blatantly lying about everything else.
