Just received this pink letter in the mail and instantly felt fishy. So I googled about it and I see its a scam. Its so sad to see these scammers prey on innocent people. They need to be stopped.Business Response

I purchased a car with my girlfriend in June of 2022 with a warranty included in that purchase. She received a call in august calling to confirm she wanted the warranty, thinking it was the warranty included in our purchase she said yes, we didnt give any banking information and now looking at our account we realize we are being charged for a warranty we do not want or need. We spoke to this customer today *******. We were able to clarify that we received an inbound phone call on 8-15-22 and were provided the **** milage and payment method to purchase a Vehicle Service Agreement. Upon speaking with the customer, we were made aware they had another coverage on the vehicle and wished to cancel the Vehicle Service Agreement with Sky Auto Protection.The customer was provided with the cancellation and refund information per the terms of the Vehicle Service Agreement. I bought a new car in May and received a letter for auto protection. Upon calling they said it would be $185 a month for protection. I got a letter in June for Paylink Direct to pay my bill. They took the money out automatically in June and since have kept calling every month saying my payment could not be processed and I have late fees. I have tried calling back and they will not answer. I receive calls from ***** and ********. I have a family to support and am not able to answer their calls right away due to work.Business Response

Our ****************** was reaching out to advise the customer that the account was in a past due status and in jeopardy of cancelling for nonpayment. The customer confirmed on ******* that they no longer wished to proceed with the Vehicle Service Agreement and we assisted with the cancellation per the terms of the Vehicle Service Agreement. Called this company before the end of the first week of September believing that this was coverage for my car that I purchased 2 months ago. Nothing was ever stated by any one on the phone call about monthly payments of $189 each month. They told me that I only had two days before my "warranty" was null and void. They made it seem as though they were affiliated with the dealership. Turns out this is not my already established coverage through the dealership and something entirely different. I do not desire to keep paying a monthly payment as I am supporting my family right now and that cost in addition to bills I already pay is completely outrageous to not warn someone about. Attempting to get my money back and they proceed to tell me how they are not predatory, it is actually the dealership taking advantage of me.Business Response

This customer called in to activate a ******************************************************************** on her daughters vehicle. She was given all the information about what the Vehicle Service Agreement covers and the payment plan agreement. We did not make it seem like we were affiliated with the dealership. This customer asked the representative if she had already taken care of a coverage in her loan and the representative told her to check her paperwork because if she had a policy already she didnt need to activate another one. The representative also advised she should locate her paperwork and review her coverage and in the event she did not have another coverage she could call us back and activate one with us. The customer elected to provide her credit card information and authorize the payment to start the Vehicle Service Agreement. Further, she was advised that the payments would be debited by Paylink and all the information would be sent to her in writing and she had 30 days to review the information.The customer called back and the policy was cancelled and refunded per the terms of the Vehicle Service Agreement. Occurred 10/05/2022 Called # on letter I received about vehicle service agreement. They said I owed $233.74 to activate warranty. Not knowing this was an illegitimate business I paid. Later I contacted the dealership I purchased my new vehicle from asking why I had to pay more when I thought I'd financed my warranty with my loan. They said I got scammed.Business Response

i received a letter in the mail shortly after buying a new car with a warranty included. this letter stated that i had failed to contact them about activating my vehicle service agreement and that if i do not respond/activate i may be liable for any damages/repairs, making me think that i had failed to activate my new vehicles warranty. when i called to activate, the representative told me there would be a 1 time charge of $158.33 for the next 2 years of coverage. he made it very clear that i would not be charged for another 2 years. i got a thing in the mail after i "purchased" this service plan, stating that it is in fact a $4,000 service plan with monthly payments of $158.33. i only noticed once i got charged $158.33 again the next month. by the time i realized that this is a scam, it is now outside of the 1 month cancellation period they provideBusiness Response

i got a letter in the mail september 2022 shortly after purchasing a new vehicle with a warranty included. the letter said that i had failed to contact them to activate my service agreement and a lack of coverage may mean i am financially liable for repairs/damages, making me think that i had failed to activate the warranty i just recently got. the letter told me to call and activate, and the representative told me that i would only have to make a 1 time payment of $158.33 for the next 2 years of coverage. he made it very clear that i would not be charged for another 2 years. i got a thing in the mail for this service agreement that i "purchased" showing that this service plan is $4,000 with monthly payments of $158.33. i just got charged again in october. by the time i realized that this is a scam and they are getting monthly payments, now it is outside of the 1 month cancellation period they provideBusiness Response

I also recieved a leter from this company regarding my car warintee. I figured it was something fishy as I know my dealer already went over my warentee already with me. This was close because I just bought a new car and I was about to pay $159 o these guys to activate this warentee. I decided to go online and found this business beraue page and it seems very likely a scam. These guys were good a professional so it was a close call..... The form they sent me though seems like something they typed up in ********* word on a pink paper.Business Response
