I received multiple fliers in the mail about extended warranty from this company after buying a car. When I did not respond I was given a letter about final notice to apply for extended warranty. The letter made it sound like this was being offered thru the dealership where I purchased my car. I called the number to inquire about what it was, how much and why I should purchase this. The lady on the phone told me it was a "one time purchase of $175.90 and it would help you afford maintenance for your car, such as oil changes, damages not covered under the manufacturers warranty, accidents, etc." I clarified the amount and that it was a one time purhase up to either 149k miles or the coverage expiration, in this case Nov 15 2029. The lady on the phone assured me that that was correct. It sounded like a good deal, so I agreed to a one time purchase of $175.90. She said I'd receive a package in the mail with what the warranty covered. I paid $175.90 on Oct 15 2024. I did not receive the package in the mail until November. I was not aware that I was charged $175.90 on Nov 15 2024, it wasn't until Dec 15 2024 that I noticed the reoccurring payment on my account. This was not a lost in translation. I was very clearly told it was a ONE TIME PAYMENT, but I've been billed from this company on 2 other occasions. I have canceled the Dec 15th payment and filed a fraud claim with my card company. I want a refund for Nov 15 2024 payment that was not authorized or part of the agreement that I made over the phone with a representative from this company. Further more the booklet I received doesn't actually cover anything. No where in this booklet does it say that they will help with maintenance cost or cover damages. It's just a bunch of word vomit that's written in a way to be intentionally confusing. Therefore I am also asking for a refund of $175.90 from Oct 15 2024, as I was intentionally mislead and lied too. The total refund amount is $341.80.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I always confirm details before making a purchase. The person I spoke to did not say anything about a reoccurring payment. I confirmed payment amount. At no time was I told the total amount of the extended warranty, only that payment was $175.90. Why would it ever occur to me that that's only one part of a larger payment unless the seller intentionally excluded that information? Which is exactly what happened. I was intentionally mislead. I did receive multiple letters from this company reminding me I was on a deadline to respond. It wasn't just one time. I still want my money back because I am having to jump thru hoops to get a refund. A pro-rated refund is not a full refund. I had already paid for October and November. I want a refund for those months. I am acknowledging that the December payment has been canceled thru my bank card.

On Sunday 10/27 I opened a letter from the mail a month after purchasing a new vehicle. The wording of the letter had made me think that I needed to activate this coverage since I had been filling out many different forms over the past month. After realizing that it was something I didnt need to have and was optional and doing more research into the company I did not want this service. Before calling back I contacted my bank to find out how I should go about trying to get a refund, they advised me to attempt to cancel the service if it is something I did not want and should be able to be refunded. I then called the next day, Monday 10/28 and explained that I had made a mistake and would like to cancel the service and be refunded. The customer ********************** I received after explaining this was not friendly at all. The man on the phone continued to make me keep the coverage instead of giving me an answer to my questions. I did not get on the phone demanding a refund I asked if it was possible for me to do so and cancel and explained what happened. I stated multiple times I would just like to be refunded and close the coverage. The customer ********************** finally decided to close the account but was irritated and quickly read a confirmation code off and then hung up the phone. I would have liked to ask if I would be refunded yet and how many business days it would relatively be until I saw the refund in my account. This has created a lot of unneeded stress on me at the time as I only want to know if the refund will be completed and my information is completely out of the system.Customer Answer

At the end of September, I received a letter in the mail stating that I had to activate my cars extended warranty or I will be denied coverage. I was confused because *** already paid for my cars warranty in full a few months prior with my local dealership. Second guessing myself, I then called the number stated on the letter *************), and they said I only needed to give them my bank info for a one time activation charge of $188.95. After further investigation, I found out that many others have received this fake mail and been getting charged monthly. I cancelled my credit card and filed a report with the company to avoid further charges from a fake warranty company.Business Response

I went in to get a wrangler so I ended up getting a renegade. Before I drove the H38**3736353731**31H out I told them about a noise coming from the right front. They said it**;s fine. I also had gotten an extended H31**303835363538**38H with the H38**3736353731**31H, paid the deposit, making the payments on time. When I had to take it back to wood to get a repair on, but it turns out they were bought out by *******. I had all my warranties denied and wood motor is not taking responsibility for this. Within the 6 months I have had it for, we have warped rotors, breaks, ball joints, control arms and the screen on the radio is black, both usb ports aren**;t working and I am losing money on this H38**3736353731**31H. I have called wood and everyone I can think of and nothing has been happening. I woke up one morning to flat tires and rattling tires. It is a safety hazard. On top of it all the dealership never registered the car in my name. Due to technicalities on the H31**303835363538**38H**;s part, they wont honor a single thing. The noises keep getting worse and they do not care. Sky auto Protection is not honoring their H31**303835363538**38H.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I purchased this vehicle at the end of May. I also purchased an extra warranty that is with ******** to cover what the powertrain company didn't. I started paying for the extra warranty on my very 1st payment. I was so happy to get this car, as it would be a step forward to getting a wrangler. Which is what I originally went to purchase, but unfortunately wasn't approved for the wrangler. I was making the payments on time then, BOOM, I start hearing noise coming from the front. I take the 2018 Jeep Renegade to the dealership and turns out that it had $5200 in damages and I haven't had this car 3 months at the time. And of those 3 months, the jeep was at the dealership 2 weeks. Now fast forward to this past month alone my other USB port doesn't charge properly. The screen on my radio is black. I can't use my phone properly, every time I try to use the *** on my phone I GET KICKED OUT OF MY ***!! I got fired from one of my jobs because of this car! I am 3 months behind on my car payment because NOBODY is covering my car! I have not had this car 6 months and this car already has between $6000 - $10,000 in damages alone! This car is a safety hazard! I am a single mother of 4 and this is unacceptable, to me and especially to my children! I have been nothing, but patient throughout this whole process. The Jeep needs to be replaced or there will be a lawsuit.
