Do not use Paylocity! First, they have no test database to work with even before onboarding so everything you do is live. During implementation there is no one project manager to help you get your company up and going, instead the implementation team works in siloes and are not well versed in the service overall. They tend to just point fingers at each other resulting in nothing getting done. Setting up the ** accounts was a nightmare as we went through four implementation specialists to get this done. The first three were incompetent which has caused us issues down the road. They could not explain how their system was set up to work and didnt want to take the time to understand how ** accounts were setup and working. The implementation team did not make sure all the proper forms were filled out with the state so now we owe penalties because Paylocity was not able to properly file on our behalf. On top of that, Paylocity want to charge us more cash to refile. The implementation team does not care if your companies account is set up properly all they care about is if they were able to process two payrolls. Once that has been accomplished, they consider implementation over even if there are all sorts of remaining issues. Unfortunately, when they hand you over to an account manager it is even a worse experience. First, there is no hand off from the implantation team to the account manager. They just move you over tell you who your account manager is and any remaining issues the implementation team is supposed to take care of. This does not happen though instead the issues just sit out there not being addressed. You must bring the issues up with your new account manager and then they create a new ticket. We have also had four different account managers in the six weeks since we left the implementation team with only one be responsive. If that is not enough, the Paylocity reporting system is horrible. When we run reports there are duplicate payrolls in the database.Paylocity Corporation

Hello and afternoon,
Sorry to hear the kind of experience you have had with the app. Unfortunately, we do not work with the employees directly due to security protocol but if you have your company Id; I'd be more than happy to do some additional research and then reach out to the necessary team members on the client side.
Look forward to hearing back.

DO NOT USE PAYLOCITY. We wanted to give them a chance over ADP and we have been using them for the last year. This year our taxes were filed under a completely different FEIN number than the number we use. We have no idea where this number they entered came from and now our business license is on hold. When trying to speak with someone at Paylocity we were told their "ticket" has been escalated to the highest level. It has taken multiple follow *** along and almost two months to get any kind of answer. Now, they are stating we have to pay $1000 per quarter that needs to be refiled due to THEIR mistake. When you ask to have a situation escalated and speak to a superior or manager, it is non existant. The only people you can get on the phone are sales reps and multiple random account managers across the country that know NOTHING about your account. DO NOT put your business license at risk by working with this company and DO NOT WASTE your money on this.Paylocity Corporation

I feel like Paylocity really just wants to keep my money. I upload payment receipts from doctors offices or hospital co-pays and aparently those are not good enough. When I ask what exactly is missing noone can tell me. I'm starting to think they want the procedure itemized as to exactly what was performed, but asking for that info is a HIPA violation since paylocity are not medical professionals. So that these idiots don't lock my account I don't use my card all the time and pay out of pocket. If.I use the provided card for payment then for whatever reason the can find to deny a claim you have to pay them back or they will lock your account. Bad part I'm usually out the cash ***** days it yikes them so long and their denied claims with no direction on what specifically is needed. This paylocity is a joke and I will be begging my company to find a better option. I've never had this many issues with FSA reimbursements.Paylocity Corporation

HORRIBLE COMPANY!! They lack communication and people skills. I had my FSA account locked over a $20 claim and I was delayed in getting my medication as a result. The only way I found out that I had to repay the $20 was by calling them. Why couldn't the company send a text or maybe a phone call to assist with the situation instead of locking me out of the money that is taken from my paycheck?Paylocity Corporation

Paylocity provides 30 days of extended access to the system beyond the Initial closure to allow clients to access and remove any reporting details they require at no cost. beyond 30 days Beyond this we provide the option to extend access $5 per active Employee ID with a minimum charge of $1000 per Company ID for one year of access. I am happy to request that our service leadership team reach out to you and discuss this with you.Review fromJosh N

I worked with a company last year that uses Paylocity and getting access to my own information after leaving that company has been a nightmare. I tried to get access to my last paystubs to see if I was paid correctly and it took awhile for Paylocity and this former employer to ***** me access. I was waiting for my W2s to arrive but they haven't which has prompt me to try to log back into Paylocity to retrieve them. Attempt to log into my phone app and it tells me that my account is inactive. Attempt to log into my computer and it tells me that the information doesn't match what is on file. Which one is it? Consistency would be nice here. So I go to resent my account and nothing is sent to my email or phone. This is the same thing that happened at the end of last year when I tried to get access to my own info. I will have to call them and go through this whole hassle again. This really is an awful company to use for payroll. I will probably ask future employers if they use Paylocity to indicate if they are decent companies or not. If they say yes, I will likely withdraw any application or turn down that employer stating why I am doing so. "If you haven't received it within 5 minutes, please reach out to your administrator for assistance." I am no longer working for that employer so this is rather annoying. "If you dont receive your one-time code, be sure to check your Spam folder. If youre still having trouble logging in, please contact your HR teameven if you arent employed there anymore."Paylocity Corporation

Hello ****,
I am sorry to hear the experience you emailed in. Unfortunately, it is security protocol that Paylocity has that account managers only work with the approved contacts on a client's account. At that point, it would be the client's responsibility to reach out and work with you directly regardless if you're still with the company or not.
I see you mentioned in your email that you were made a contact, if you have the name of the company or company ID; I would be more than happy to assist by reaching out to the assigned team for that account and ask that someone reach out to you.
Thank you.

Very unfortunate experience with Paylocity especially with the service level we received. We implemented in 2021 and as of today, February 13, **** we are still dealing with a tax issue they created when we went through implementation. I have reached out numerous times only to be told "our tax team is working on it". There is no one to escalate to for issues like these. This is one of MANY issues I had with Paylocity during our time with them. Not only could we not do open enrollment in their platform the first year we were with them due to a lack of communication on their part, but the second year we were told if anyone wanted to just "look" at their benefits in the portal during open enrollment, they would be required to complete open enrollment or their benefits would end at the close of the ** session. This is just a couple of the many issues we experienced while with them. We had so many negative experiences with Paylocity, if I could give them less than a 1 I would. I highly recommend avoiding Paylocity and finding another platform!Paylocity Corporation

Disappointing Experience with Paylocity I recently had an unfortunate experience with Paylocity, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. The primary issue revolves around their customer service, which I found to be quite subpar. One major frustration was the lack of direct communication with my account manager. Instead of having a direct line or a quick means of contact, the only option was to email a general service email. This process not only felt impersonal but also led to significant delays in getting the assistance I needed. It often took 2-4 days to receive a response, which is far from the ************** would expect in managing payroll services. This extended wait time for communication proved to be a significant inconvenience, especially when dealing with time-sensitive matters. It left me questioning the practicality of choosing Paylocity as our payroll solution. In hindsight, I regret the decision to go with this company and would advise others to explore alternative options. The hassle of delayed responses and the lack of direct communication channels make the overall experience with Paylocity less than satisfactory. My recommendation: steer clear of this service to avoid unnecessary complications and frustrations.Paylocity Corporation

1 starPaylocity has been my payroll processor for over 5 years. The first year was a nightmare, but I was so busy running my new business that I suffered through it. By the second year, I got a new account manager and he was amazing. He was friendly, prompt, helpful and a true godsend. I appreciated him and told him that I had seriously considered leaving Paylocity until he came along. Life with Paylocity was great for the next 2 years. Then my account manager received a promotion which was great for him but terrible for my company. I had a sinking feeling that things would return to "terrible" and I was right! Actually, things got worse than terrible!Firstly, their app doesn't work 99% of the time. For two years (no exaggeration), my employees couldn't access their W2s or paystubs. What a poor reflection on me that was! I tried to find other companies and get rid of Paylocity, but I would be reassured that they would fix things. And honestly, I was afraid of switching and dealing with a nightmare of having to get used to something new (looking back this was a huge mistake).Paylocity double and triple charged me for their services. They made mistakes in their calculations. They forgot to run my payroll on several instances. The problem became so bad that at one point, I stopped processing payroll because I had been rear ended by a semi truck and was in a bad place and Paylocity was making life even more miserable. I continued to complain and ask for a new account manager. It did no good. My payroll was so undependable that I could no longer count on them.I have many copies of emails begging for a new account manager, stating that my employees were growing frustrated with the app, and stating that my payroll hadn't been timely processed. At no point even after over 5 years with this company did anyone reach out to resolve the issues.I finally started threatening to get a new company. They still didn't change. I left and I'm so relieved.
