Purchased camper new on March 16th, 2022 @ $41,000 from ******* ***** in *******, **. 1 year roof to floor manufacturer warranty.Dropped off Camper February, 23rd for many warranty issues, including floor soft and interior covered in mold. Initially advised Salem Forest River will cover all items except roof/floor. 3 months later advised warranty was submitted incorrectly and resubmitted as this was a slide issue not a roof issue causing the leak. 2 months later advised warranty was approved, however, the repairs cost too much per value of the camper. They ask me to sign a waiver to ship the camper to another state with cheaper wages to have the repairs done to cut the cost. I declined due to the quality, timeliness, misleading information, misrepresentation and unprofessional treatment from these companies.Camper is covered in mold inside. Large list of issues, all communication and timeline documented. Spoke to Forest River finally on June, 19th 2023. Was advised a GM will call with resolution. Have not heard back. I call each week and leave a voice-mail. Amazing at the stories I have been told from both ******* ***** in *******, ******* ***** CEO office and Forest River.Customer Answer

See attached Document that has VIN # and original warranty approval/denial.
VIN# *****************
This has been amended 3 months later after I ask Camping World if they have the leaking roof area covered while raining on their lot.
They advised no, and provided me with an estimate to have someone protect the leaking area while there.
They then contacted me and said the water entered via improper fit on the slide after they had an A tech look at it and resubmitted warranty.
Then it was approved, under the condition I sign a waiver to send it to ******* for cheaper rates and parts because the cost of repairs exceed the value of the camper.
in addition, they have yet to remove any of the wall coverings or roof material to identify hidden mold. This would even further increase the repair cost and time in any state.
Thanks

We are sorry to hear of the issues the customer is experiencing and would like to clarify that Forest River utilizes a complete rain bay with techs trained on specifics, causes and cures to allow us faster diagnoses and to speed the customers experience. We also use an outside, third-party mold inspection firm who will confirm in writing their testing results. These methods are in place to provide customer service and clarify the course of the repair needed rather than the lowering costs or materials.Customer Answer

We are sorry about that and would still offer to transport the unit to our facility where we can utilize state-of-the-art rain bay machinery to verify if leaks persist and allow for immediate remedy. Along with repairing we would hire an outside 3rd party mold inspection firm to do testing to verify unit is mold free and repaired correctly. This would all be in writing as to what we found and what we did along with pictures of exposed areas being repaired. Upon return and acceptance, we will agree to a new one-year warranty on this unit. This is all offered at no cost. If there is something you would like to ask for more clarity on in order to resolve, please email me at ************************************ to confirm as we will gladly put in writing any detailed information needed.Customer Answer

In July of 2023 a representative with Forest River communicated with me on a large, approved warranty claim for a Forest River travel trailer. VIN: ***************** The representative advised the warranty work would be approved if the unit was transferred back to the manufacturer in *******, due to the large amount of repairs needed and the excessive cost. The representative offered me "some" money back in loss of use if I agreed to transport the unit from ******* to *******. ****** wasn't offered as the representative was unsure of the time frame. I agreed. I was notified all repairs were complete on April, 17 2024. The representative and Forest River have denied my request of all money paid on the unit during this time as well as depreciation, as I had no access to lease, sale or trade the unit at market value during this period. Forest River's representative has offered 3 months reimbursement of payments, which falls way short of the loss. Yet, has failed to communicate once I've ask how these monies are transferred. I have been cooperative with Forest River and am simply looking for financial reimbursement that was lost due to the poor quality product Forest River manufactured, QC'd, and delivered. Forest River has assumed responsibility for their inferior product with the documented approved warranty work, efforts, materials, and transportation from ******* to *******, and ******* back to *******. However, Forest River has failed to assume the financial loss I have endured during this process. This unit, a Salem Forest River 26DB4D has been approved by Forest River to have the complete floor replaced, outdoor speakers replaced, failed tongue **** and stabilizer ****** replaced, awning replaced, kitchen sink/counter replaced, Shower pan and walls replaced, roof sealant replaced to name a few under the 1 year warranty. Again, I have simply ask Forest River for financial indemnity from this product and process.

Forest River is sorry to hear the customer is unhappy. Our records indicate the unit was brought to Forest River in August of 2023 and repairs were finished September 2023. Emails to the customer requesting a shipping address were sent and unit was returned late February of 2024. We are willing to review any additional items provided which might have been missed. As for payments, Forest River, **** has issued reimbursement which should have delivered to the customer by now. For any questions or concerns, please email ************************************ or call ************.
Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
Document attached shows additional repairs were approved in March, thus I was notified complete in April.Forest River communication above states unit was returned in February. Misleading according to documentation.
If they have mailed 3 months reimbursement they mailed it to the wrong address as they've ignored my emails inquiring how insufficient amount will be transferred.
Furthermore, I have not agreed to settle for 3 months as they had the unit for 7 + months, after 6 months of me begging someone to address the issues while it sat at the dealer. See documents for timeline.

We apologize to the customer for the inconveniences they've experienced. Upon review of their file, a mailing address error was discovered. Forest River has corrected this error and is re-issuing reimbursement. Our records indicate that Forest River had the unit and repaired it within thirty days of receiving it. Upon completion of repairs, we shipped the unit back to the selling dealer.Customer Answer

Forest River records indicate the unit was here and repaired within thirty days of receiving it. Forest River had requested a return shipping address; however, we did not receive a response to that and ultimately shipped the unit back in February 2024 to the dealer location where we had initially picked up the unit.
Regarding the customer's mention of attached documents, each document describes a separate repair, dated March 2023 and February 2024.
As the unit is repaired, returned, and the customer has been issued reimbursement, ********************** respectfully requests that this complaint be closed.

I am submitting this complaint due to the outstanding reimbursement repairs, still owed by Forest River for warranty items on my 2022 Cherokee Grey Wolf 23MK Black Label travel trailer, namely the kitchen sink and slide, which were paid out of pocket by myself. The inoperable slide prevented me from taken it to a dealer so it was urgent that I get it repaired. Although my primary residence is in Georgia, the travel trailer resides in ******* because my son attends college in ******* and we bought it to use during football season. The noted warranty items were submitted to Forest River Warranty clerk, via email to *********************************** in March 2023.************************* initially provided me with a list of "approved" warranty dealers/companies in *******; however, none were able to assist me, either because they were not accepting new customers, they were 12 weeks out, or because I did not purchase the trailer directly from their dealership. However, the warranty clerk communicated that I was able to find a non dealer if one was not available, which is what I did. After finding a technician in the area and getting all of the work completed, to my disappointment, payments were not reimbursed even after I submitted proof. As well as the warranty rep asked for items two months after repairs were completed. This process started back in March 2023, and the last repair was completed back in April 2023, As of July 10, I still have not receive a reimbursement check for any of these expenses. I am specifically asking ****************** AKA Forest River to reimburse me for the ********** faucet I purchased, labor cost submitted by (non-dealer) ********************, for sink installation, and reimbursement for slide replacement (labor cost) that was completed by ********************* with *********** mobile RV Tech. Please note that all item are still under warranty, and should have been covered but were directly paid out of my pocket. I kindly request full compensation to resolve this matterCustomer Answer

We have been working with our rv repair company trying to get all of our over year warranty repairs done.Vehicle purchased: August 2021 Soonest warranty appointment due to staffing and COVID was August 2022.Product: 2021 XLR Nitro 351 Toy Hauler.Original price $101,000 VIN: ***************** We have a list of more than 30 repairs for this trailer, most manufacturer incorrect installation or parts failure. To name a few:Black tank flush installed backwards Water heater failed Front AC failure Refrigerator no longer working Grey tank bracket fell off And so many moreMany of which after 11 months of back and forth communication between our repair company and forest river, are now going to be resolved. My complaint is in regards to one major issue that forest river claims is customer damage. We bought This ********************** Nitro Toy Hauler with a back patio screen set around the ramp. Over 50% of the rivets that holds the screens to the attachment brackets are missing! We have pictures dated shortly after we bought it showing those rivets were never installed from the manufacturer. The patio screen/patio is unusable and has been from day one! The way the patio screens store for travel, while missing many rivets from the brackets, has caused one bracket to break. We have been trying to address this issue from day one with forest river and even after emailing the person that is directly working on our claim with our repair company (no response from her), this is still denied as customer damage. Why is missing rivets from the manufacturing process customer damage? The ladder brackets that go on the ramp were never installed either (have proof there are NO holes in the ramp, they were never installed) , yet they say this isnt their fault. The fault lies on the company that sold us the rv whom is no longer in business. Excuse me, but how is this customer damage? One photo attached, I have many more but file size is too big to send via this platform. Can send upon request.Business Response

Purchase new motorhome, took back to dealer the next week. Found cracked roof and they are dragging their feet to get this done.Puchased June 4, took to dealer June 13.... Still at dealer and Forrest River still has not set up transportation to their factory. I have not been able to use this motor home yet, and have already made a payment to the bank. This needs to be a priority for Forrest River, they don't seem to think so.Customer Answer

Tell us why here..Hello,
My name is *********************, I purchased a new 2023 Forester Motorhome from NIRVC on June 4, 2023. I took this unit home and kept it until June 13, 2023 when I returned it to the dealer (NIRVC) for issues I found with the unit.
I found 13 minor issues and 2 MAJOR issues, of the 2 major issues, I found cracking in the sealer on the roof and my Heat Pump has an error code #**.
Upon inspection at the Dealer they found I had 2 areas on the roof that were cracked and found water damage in the bedroom. They alerted me of this problem and were going to replace the roof at the dealer, but the Factory (Forest River) said they would prefer to handle this at the factory in which the dealer and I agreed.I am at my **** end trying to get anyone, both the dealer and the factory to get the ball rolling on this roof replacement!
Present day July 7,2023 and nothing has been set into concrete.
I purchased this motorhome new vs used to avoid the problems I am having.
This is a MAJOR PURCHASE for my wife and I $$$$$, now I am not able to use this vehicle for the reason it was purchased. I have already had to make 1 bank payment and have made other purchases related to this motorhome. ( Flat Tow vehicle, Flat Tow Equipment)
Now I am just wondering when SOMEONE will step up and get this resolved?
I also have reservations for future trips that are non-refundable in the very near future.
I believe that I should get a NEW REPLACEMENT vehicle to replace this. If I ever get these issues resolved, I will own a damaged unit with water damage !!!!!Business Response

Contacted dealership in October 2022 for warranty repairs on Salem Hemisphere purchased June 2023. Repairs were not finished by April 2023. Contacted Forest River in March of 2023 and was given suggestions on how to resolve issue with dealership not doing work. Called Forest River(*******************) again in May 2023 due to unresolved repairs by dealership. ******************* instructed me to email him pictures and descriptions of what needed repaired and he would arrange for a repair tech to do the work on site at our campground. I had stated that I would contact another dealership and was told that was not necessary. Emailed him back one week later to follow-up and was told the repair tech was on work trip but would review once he returned. Emailed again in June 2023 to once again follow up on status of these issues. Was told to contact a repair tech on my own. He has since stopped responding to any emails in regards to this issue. Warranty work was not completed even with contacting the dealership and Forest River directly.Customer Answer

I purchased a 2023 Salem Hemisphere from ****************. After doing walkthrough and dealer fixing things we saw wrong we thought everything was good. Well when we got home thats when every other defect came about. To start with, the listing reads **************** 66x80. My wife ordered a gel mattress topper ( mattress it came with was cheap, you lay on it you can feel the wood) and sheets. When we went to put the gel topper in, its too big, the bed is actually a super queen/Olympic queen, not a king as advertised. Next bathroom door is severely warped. Next one shelf from loft was cracked, didnt notice till it bounced off of ledge. Next all outside storage compartments take different keys, one side takes a green key that only came with ONE. Now to put the icing on the cake, when we bout it it was just washed and still wet, were getting ready to take on a trip and we washed it, the back side looks as if something was spilt from roof, it left run marks that wont come off. Not to happy spending $80,000 on such poor workmanship and whatever was spilt and ran down back of coach. I own another forest river 5th wheel and had no problems, but after all the problems I have found on this one, Im not happy at all.Customer Answer

I purchased a brand new 2022 Forest River Wildwood camper and it had multiple issues with the assembly, the dealer advised it had a 1 year warranty and they would take care of all the repairs. It has now been almost a year and most of the repairs have not been completed because Forest River wasnt sending them the parts. Also the air conditioner will not even come close to keeping up, on an 85 degree day the camper is barely under 78 degrees, the hotter it gets the worse it is. The camper is not insulated or has enough cooling to make it at all comfortable and all Forest River and the dealer to tell is basically tough luck thats how it was designed so apparently Ill have to modify my $40,000 camper myself. The assembly and fit and finsih of this camper looked like 12 year olds threw it together y der the supervision of a drunk grandpa, cabinets were cracked, doors fell apart, lights were ripped off in the slide, the slide is literally pulling away from the side of the camper, drawers werent installed correctly, panels and trim are already falling out of place, the list is huge. When I reach out to Forest river they just tell me they can keep my warranty active even tho is now almost out of the one year warranty but that doesnt do any good if they dont have any parts to send to the dealer or wont address the lack of a/c capability of the camper. In my opinion paying customers deserve retribution for being blind sided with junk. Its very difficult to explain all of the photos but the complete assembly of the camper is the worst Ive ever seen, wavy metal, stripped screws, cracked cabinets, bent hinges, doors not square, the awning is mounted crooked, the drain gutters are awful, theres holes where insulation was removed to run wires and not re installed, holes around water heater that werent sealed up, even the stickers on the side are crooked, I knew the camper had some issues on the lot but FR and dealer said theyd fix it and they have not in over a yearCustomer Answer
Date: 07/05/2023
The problems with the camper started from day 1 of delivery/pickup. It needs a lot of work and today its 89 degrees outside the air has been running since yesterday and its 84 in the camper!

Bought a 22mkse and my family love it, but part of the allure was that it came with the *** insight rear view camera. Even after replacement with the dealer (RVOne, They've been great) , it still won't function properly. Tried all troubleshooting, replacement, different devices (Android and Apple), and the camera is dangerously unreliable. We thought we got it working by having it mounted higher, but as it always did eventually, it froze the feed due to a weak signal, and if my wife wasn't watching I would have backed into a neighbor.I love the Cherokee wolf lineup, and am looking at upgrading to an artic wolf soon, but to sell this system as a safety feature is disingenuous at best, and potentially fatal at worst.Business Response

I bought a new trailer trailer from ********************************* in ************* ** in February of 2023. I have had numerous issues listed below:1. Vinyl floor ripped in first week of ownership, approved by warranty for repair. Has not been repaired as of 6/28/23.2. Valve stems on tires leaking in 1st month, approved to repair one but had all foot replaced.3 Springs on trailer defective in March and took 3 months to get repaired and reimbursed by subcontractor of Forest River as they denied the claim.4. Doors would not open starting in March and returned to dealership to repair after approval.5. Backup safety camera was deceive from day one and after several trips to dealership and numerous phone calls to Forest River tech support with no results Forest River provided new camera for replacement in April ******. On trip to AZ on return noticed several other issues, propane switch fell off that was connected by 2 screws. The screws rusted and broke. The shock on the canopy rusted and needed replaced. The window next to the main door leaked and has caused damage and they claim its owner damage. The repair facility found one of the weep holes on the window clogged by glue. The front cap on the travel trailer dented and started separating and they claimed it is owner damage. I have taken extensive pictures of area and the repair facility has also. No damage can be seen or detected in that shows it was caused by me, scratches, holes or any surface scuffs that would prove I did the damage.I but this travel trailer in February 2023 and it has been at 2 location waiting to approval for repairs or being repaired for 4 1/2 months and the continue to fight obvious quality and defective issues,2023 Forest River Cherokee vin: *****************Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
mall they state is it is owner damage and thats why they refuse to warranty it. Im sorry but thats is not the case and they cannot provide an explanation to how they determined that. I on the other hand have stated the whole time that the damage occurred from internal rot or poor quality of materials and its shows in the pictures provided that the damage is outward or facing the inside of the interior. If I had somehow damage it the damage would reflect a direction of outward towards the exterior. I would like for them to explain how they determined the cause or fault of the damage. You cannot say we think you caused it without some logical explanation to void my warranty claim.

I am rejecting this response because:
I paid for it already.I highlighted the quote from the tech. As you can see I received a unit that wasn't sealed properly by your company. At the time of purchase I paid for the sealant and the labor for the sealant to be applied. I literally paid for something I never received. This is why I'm upset. Please respond or call ************
