      Where do I begin? The shuttle is non-existent as far as pickup from ***. We sat and waited at the rental car pick up area for 30 mins, tried to get ahold of ace, no answer, before I asked a driver for budget rental if ace had a shuttle service. She then let us know ace does not pick up from ***, that we had to ride the metro down to an intersection a few miles down the road, where they would pick us up from a dark parking lotvery scary considering we have two kids with us and its 8pm. Once we found our way to ACE it was located in a very sketchy ally like street with tents all up and down the road. We got inside walked right up to the counter and were greeted by ********. He found our reservation, but very quickly asked if we wanted to add insurance. We declined as we always do and he told us we were required to buy the $29.99 a day insurance premium. I asked him if he had a paper or something that stated that we were in fact required to purchase this and he kept repeating I either pay it or I dont get my keys. In which I started questioning if I actually needed to buy this or if he was trying to make a commission. I then googled the ******************* laws with rental vehicles (also ACE rental website) which said locals (************) only had to purchase this extra premium which did not include us. I showed it to him and he started yelling at us you either PAY OR LEAVE MY BUILDING. I asked to speak with someone else and he then ran over to a drawer pulled out a paper that has a policy that is different than the one posted online. He started to become super aggressive and loud, and at this point we were getting nowhere so we just paid the insurance so we could get our kids out of the building. It was getting to be a very scary situation. He handed us the keys and we noticed our car had a crack in the windshield and a slice in the tire. The guy at the gate took a very crappy video then we left.

Regarding the shuttle, shuttle information is provided in our terms and conditions available on all sites you can book with ACE through. As for the customer service you received from ********, please be assured this will be addressed directly by management with him. Insurance can only be denied if proof of personal full coverage is provided to the agent at the time of rental. Insurance must have collision and liability that extends to cover a rental vehicle. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you in the future.

      I am not happy with the Upsell pressure tactics, used by their representatives. Upon renting a vehicle and picking it up, the service representative sold me additional insurance that I did not actually need. Its not always about the money, its more about the honesty and the integrity of the company and the people who work for them.

While at the counter you do see what you are signing and what the total cost is prior to leaving with the vehicle. As a chargeback has also been processed we are unable to make any adjustments to your account.

      Their prices are cheap initially. They will rip you off in the long run. Do not book a rental from them. Go with a company that *** seem more expensive up front. Those companies are being upfront and honest. It will cost less overall to use enterprise or hertz.

      *** Rental is conducting a criminal operation in my thinking of my recent experience at thier ********* location. I booked *** through Travelocity. I encourage anyone that had a terrible expierence to contact Travelocity directly to file a formal complaint. I did. I am also contacting the FTC.The first thing the employee said, Your car is not ready yet. You can upgrade for $20 for a car ready now. I told him no, I did not want to pay what they want for the one I rented.Then he asked if I wanted the Insurance. I told him I don't need any type of insurance. He asked if I declined. I said yes. I declined each time he asked about Insurance. He asked me to sign the screen.Then he asked about returning the car without fueling. They offered a couple options like half full. He said it would be cheaper then fueling before dropping off. lies, I bought gas for less.When we were done with the Dance he told me my car was ready! it was ready the entire time. I saw the van as I departed the shuttle.Getting back from the airport to the *** location took almost an hour. I was in a hurry like everyone else at that time. I checked the car in and the guy printed the receipt. I grabbed it and jumped on the shuttle before it left.I looked at the receipt when I arrived at the airport while ordering lunch. The total was $554! They charged me $9.99 per day for personal insurance? $22 per day for insurance? I declined all insurance!Taxes and Fees were $150 more than shown on Travelocity. They showed $240 for the car and $135 taxes and fees. That's $375 not $554 I called customer service. She told me I needed to go back in person to take care of of the charges. I told her I couldn't since I was at the airport waiting for my flight. I asked her just to remove the charges. She said she could not do that? I asked why but she had no answer. When I told her I would contact my card she told me I signed a contract the card can't do anything. She said have a nice day bye

Reviewing your account I do show that per your signed rental agreement you agreed to purchase both the personal effects coverage and the renter's liability insurance. While I do understand the frustration with the additional charge for your rental, you do see what you signing while at the counter as well as you do get a copy of your rental agreement prior to leaving the location. As you did sign for the charges and it is past your rental period we are unable to refund the insurance to you.

      I rented a car at ACE in ********* through Price Line as a package as it was shown to be an airport rental for convenience. 1st: there was no truth in advertising. However, the Las Vegas ACE location was NOT at the airport. They had us take the shuttle FROM the airport car rentals location (where all of the major brands were) to their OFF airport site location. So we continued to wait for our off site shuttle. 2nd deception: When we got to the counter, we were talked into buying their Renter's Liability Waiver as this is ********* and your rental could get involved with a non-insured individual or if some one can damage the car and walk/run away. Since this is a different company than what we typically rent from, we agreed to pay the daily fee to cover this sort of thing agreeing with the logic despite having car insurance already. But we prefer to have this so we would not have the headache of dealing with it if it get's dented. When we returned the vehicle, they said there is a **** on the bumper that we're responsible for. So we said we bought the liability waiver for these sort of things. However, we were contacted by a collection agency they hired to collect ~$1200 for a 5 millimeter (half a diameter of a dime) ****. And when I went on their "Contact **" to request a full *** disclosure of what is exempt from the coverage they did not reply even after I gave them the online time frame of 1-2 days to response. It's day 9 and no response. I went to "Chat" with the online and they refused to give me the *** disclosure but had me call the location number. Because I want to see things in writing, I wanted the email address, they persisted I call a ********** number. They showed me a print screen, that actually said on it "Location: Off Airport." I I still cannot get any one to tell me in writing what is the exemption for the liability waiver that I purchased with the rental for.

Per our terms and conditions, shuttle information is provided explaining that we are not at the airport directly. Regarding the Renter's Liability Waiver, this is not insurance but it covers an liability you may have in the case of liability of an accident. ******************* does not cover the vehicle you are in, rather the other vehicle should you cause an accident. The *** then covers the fees you would have been responsible for to repair the other persons vehicle. As for the policy information, it is up to the location if they wish to provide the document to you. I do see on your account that the *** was refunded to you. While I understand the frustrations with the damage charges, this is something that collision would cover and as you used personal insurance for this, the claim will be processed through your insurance provider.
