      We rented an SUV from ***** airport. The customer service rep barely spoke any English or pretended not to. We declined their insurance as we had our own and also declined the sunpass as we had our own with **. We were told to to sign here, here and here declining the insurance and sunpass. We did not look at the paperwork until we got home and saw the charge and saw that he had ** sign that we wanted the sunpass. We called right away only to be told we agreed to the pass so we have to pay for it. We argued the fact that it wasnt used and wasnt used but to no avail. Very dissatisfied with their lack of customer service. It wasnt so much the ***** as it was the fact that they wouldnt even listen to what we had to say. I will not ever rent from them again.

      Ace Rent a Car has predatory pricing practices and horrible customer service. I emailed with a representative (****) about their Collision Damage Coverage costs not being available anywhere on their website. She refused to pass my concerns along to management. When I called customer service, they transferred me to her intentionally and she hung up on me.

      Unsafe, damage tire, not willing to refund money spent on a tire for their car! Major liability issues. Avoid at all cost! I was told "you changed the tire before the car was to be serviced?! Who says such a thing? So you want us to use a unsafe tire to drive hundreds of miles? *** tire had multiple damages that occurred prior to our use. No refund provided. Avoid this scam of a rental, dont put your family in the hands of this awful car rental company!

While I do understand your frustration with the charge for the tire replacement, once the vehicle is driven off our lot the tire and windshield become the customers liability.       It's been over a month we haven't received our 200$ "security deposit "We called left messages and they won't give us the hold back on the car we rented. We followed all the rules, returned it on time etc. The ace rent a car in ********** ** are lazy and aunprofessional! We had dead mice in the car so they clearly did NOT even clean the car. It was right under the seats we took pictures. I feel like they take advantage of people we booked a car for 6 days and they gave us the economy box tiny car for almost 900$ So why hold peoples security deposits and rip people off giving them filthy cars for the highest 80$ daily rate??? Horrible way to treat your customers. The guy that served us also told my husband straight forwardly..NO to any other type of vehicle because he didnt feel like and was TOO Lazy to be cleaning the ones we were inquiring about....didnt want to give us a bigger car/truck because he was DO NOT rent cars from ACE. They also have b.s charges that pop up later on after returning..Really $900 for less than a week to be treated like that.NEVER Again. They have until Monday to give us our 200$ HOLD back or am taking further action and contacting police etc I don't play with our hard earned money, it's not fair they haven't even called us to tell us anything.There just straight up keeping people's money.ZERO stars

      If I could give negative stars, I would. I rented a car from them and paid for their comprehensive insurance plans, the windshield got a small crack due to a rock on the freeway. They said their comprehensive insurance doesnt cover windshield damage even though the **************** law states that it is covered. I put in a claim with my insurance company and now Ace is coming after me for extra fees that my insurance will not cover. I work for a major airline and will make sure everyone to NEVER rent from them

      Thank you for taking the time to write to us regarding your recent rental experience. The insurance that is provided by the location for comprehensive is collision and liability. We have a separate insurance that covers windshield and tire damage. While I understand the frustrations with the charges and that the insurance you purchased doesn't cover the damage, no additional charges are being charged to your account from ACE. The only charge on top of the rental was the $200 deposit that was taken to cover the cost of the glass. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you whether in ******* or one of our many other locations worldwide.

      We rented a car from these crooks. I personally went around the car and took notes of damage and handed it in.We left the parking garage and I noticed a rock chip in the windshield. We got a call from some claim agency almost three weeks later. The lady at the agency is claiming that we owe them **** dollars . They claim the car will be out for three days to get a windshield. Obviously they didn't check the car before we rented it or they would have caught the windshield. If this isn't fraud I don't know what is!!! Stay away from these clowns this is how they make there money.

When the vehicle was returned from the customer prior there were no marks on the windshield.       I called to tell them my stroller wheel fell off in the parking lot and they ignored my message and an employee admitted to throwing it in the garbage.

      Please stay away from this company and especially stay away from their insurance company Rockport Auto Claims. I purchased their insurance so I would have to deal with any headaches. A vehicle swiped the rental while it was parked. Ive been harassed by ************* Claims for the last 8 months. I reported them to BBB and they backed off for a couple months but now they are back at it again. Please for your own well being stay away from both these companies.

      Only because there's no category lower than one star!This is the worst car rental experience we have ever had.1. When we arrived in *****, the rental agent insisted that we had to buy ACE's liability policy since we had no proof of our own automobile liability insurance policy. We have traveled extensively, have never had to produce proof of liability insurance before. This added $20 per day to the cost of renting the car.2. The rental agent told us that when we inspected the car, we should not record anything that was 'smaller than a credit card.' We found a couple of small scratches and a small ding in the windshield; all were much smaller than a credit card, so we didn't make a note of them.3, One tire constantly lost air, becoming dangerously deflated. When we called ACE, we were advised to 'find a tire store and buy a new tire.'4. Two days after we returned home, we got a bill from ACE for $2,000 for replacing the windshield.Between the insurance scam, the lack of response about the bad tire and the effort by ACE to hold us responsible for the ding in the windshield (although we were acting in reliance on the instructions of ***'s agent), ACE is clearly engaged in unethical business practices that *** amount to consumer fraud.NEVER RENT FROM ACE!!!

      We rented a car for our stay in *************** ** in April. Before we even got to our hotel the air pressure alert was going off and the check engine light then came on. We did not drive the car for the duration of our trip due to that. We called the Ace customer care line and were instructed to call the *************** desk. We attempted to call the *************** Ace desk multiple times during our stay but no one answered due to the flooding that was occurring, which was understandable, but when we arrived to return the car we told the man checking it in that the light had been on. He did not speak clear English and just kept saying the light was no longer on. We took photos of the light being on but customer service will not help us because "we didn't report it when we turned in the vehicle". We attempted to but he said it wasn't on and wouldn't do anything about it.
