      Unprofessional. I verbally declined all additional insurance. They had me sign contracts on a device that had a small viewing window. I unknowingly signed three waivers which resulted in an additional $170. That's shady in and of itself, but my main complaint is that they could easily just refund the waivers (I had caught my mistake right after signing and before I got the car), but they make it extremely difficult to cancel. They would charge a one-day fee plus then you had to purchase a new car rental reservation which would be more expensive last-minute. I will never use them again and have told everyone the same.

      It does state in our terms and conditions that customers must have full coverage insurance to rent our vehicles. Customers may use their own personal coverage, but they will need supporting documents, if not then they do have to purchase it at the front desk to continue with the rental.       They switched out a car for me. No hassles. Ive been renting for over 2 weeks while my car is repaired. Will use in future !

      Horrible rental car company, they add on additional fees and state you must take them even though you show them you have full coverage. As I was in there office, 2 other customers were arguing with them over the same **************** learned, rent from a reputable car company. I went to Enterprise and had no issues.will not recommend Ace rent a car.

      Can I go less than 1 star??? Absolutely disgusting company and horrible business practices! My wife flew to *** to visit her dying father. The representative saw a vulnerable woman coming and took full advantage. We paid for 100% of this rental with points and have our own insurance. But they tacked on almost $200 in fees (for a 4 day compact car rental!) and would not let her go until she signed it. All she wanted was to get a car and go see her dying dad! So she signed it and went and then called my very upset. I called and they REFUSED to do anything about it, saying she needs to visit them in person. She is over an hour away from LAX and not returning until she fly's out. That is very inconvenient AND she does not want to deal with that sexist creep who is trying to take advantage of her. Absolutely wretched company! I will NEVER, EVER do business with *** again. Looking at other reviews we are not the first victim's nor will we be the last. I'm sure that creep of an agent gets a commission to sell their garbage insurance that we do NOT want or need. What a terrible company, STAY FAR AWAY

When it comes to insurance, we do allow our customers to use their own personal coverage, but they do need to provide supporting documents at the time of pick up. It does state in our terms and conditions that if customers do not provide supporting documents, then they are required to purchase insurance at the front desk to continue with their rental.       I rented a car end of July it had dents dings scratches etc I took 13 pictures of the car and they have you circle what part of car is damaged I circled practically the whole car I noticed I never got my $200 deposit so called my credit card and disputed it I received a phone call Sept ******* saying the car has damage we need your car Ins info open up a claim so we can get this fixed I been going back and forth with ***** ****** car damage claims Ace rental she never answers her phone we are emailing all her emails are open up a claim and give me your claim number My car Insurance told me to hire an attorney and sue them for my $200 deposit Dont Ever Rent from them!!!! Big Scam

      The agent lied to me on applying the insurance, even though i told them i will opt for my own insurance they still charged me for buying the insurance from them.

      After looking further into your reservation, it looks like you contacted the location on October 25th about the charges and disputing them. You picked up the rental on October 12th and returned it on October 15th, we do provide all of our customers their ********************** agreements when they pick up the vehicle, and if you see any charges that you did not believe you opted in for then you may request to remove them at the front desk. Unfortunately, since you contacted support 10 days after being charged the final total, there is not much we can do on our end. We highly encourage our customers to read over the ********************** agreement before leaving the front desk since it is legally binding.       I was in an Ace rental car when someone struck my vehicle.The person at fault's insurance agency was willing to cover all damages, but *** submitted an invoice that was clearly overpriced for the small area of impact (front bumper, where the left headlight had to be replaced). As a result, they are now trying to get me to cover $3,000 + for physical damage that an insurance agency verified via quote, that was too high, citing my signed rental agreement.I will never rent a car from *** again.
