      DO NOT USE ANGI'S UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.!! I contacted Angi's on Sunday 7/31/22 for a plumber to repair a leak in our bathroom sink. I asked if he was a license plumber. The booking agent told me that he is license and bonded. None of this was true. ************** came on Monday 8/1/22 at 6am.. He was here for 45 mins, left a couple of times to get parts, returned at 10pm. He was in our home that day for under 2hrs. The ticket stated that he was here from 7:30am to 11am. He called to have the ticket closed, but said he needed a extra 1.5 hrs. to complete the work which cost us an additional $123.00. The work was not completed. He returned on Tuesday 8/2/22 at around 7:30am. He repeated the same steps as he did on Monday. Tried working on the leak, left to get parts, admitted he didn't know what he was doing because he wasn't a plumber. He damaged our pipes, the sink and our sink cabinet, due to the water gushing out of the pipe under the cabinet and onto the floor. Angi's was sending out another plumber on Wednesday 8/3/22 at 2pm to fix the problem. He called at 4:45pm to cancel. We have been without water in our home since Saturday 7/30/22. Roto-Rooter corrected the faulty work and fixed the problem in 45mins. We had to pay Roto-Rooter. $500.00. The "plumber" also cut a pipe in the wall that runs to our toilet upstairs. We can't use our upstair toilet because there is no water going through that pipe that he cut and capped off. Not to mention replacing our sink and cabinet, and the hotel we had to stay at for one day because of having no water. We were reimbursed what we paid Angi. We want to be reimbursed for the out of pocket expenses that we incurred due to Angi's recommending this person they said was a plumber, and license, HE WAS NEITHER. I spoke to ********************** and was informed that there is no guarantee that they would pay for anything. I sent Angi 2 emails with pictures. No response. All of the extra monies that we paid was due to Angi's incompetent contractor.

      We appreciate ********* concern, and we're so sorry to hear that his booking resulted in any damage. This is not typical, and not the kind of service we would expect for him to have. After reviewing his complaint, we do see that the majority of his service was refunded, however, the additional hours were not. We have now processed a full refund for the additional time. He can expect to see the refund on his account in the next 3 - 5 business days. We have also sent him a damage claim form. This is the first step for potential reimbursement through our Happiness Guarantee. Once he submits the form, along with the written repair costs and receipts we will then send this for final review. If he has any additional questions regarding this we ask that he reach back out to our Claims team directly.

      Angi did not live up to their agreement. I requested a licensed plumber and who came to our home was a person who detailed cars. He was not a licensed plumber. He had no idea what he was doing. Angi booked this appointment under false pretense.

       

      No, Angi did not reach out to me concerning this matter. I emailed Angi on two occasions concerning this matter and no response.

      I sent Angi a copy of the attached receipts in their claim form. Angi did not respond to my previous emails until BBB got involved. Angi responded through BBB. I was told doing a phone conversation by an Angi representative that he doubts if Angi would pay for anything. Plus this representative tried to over talk me. I will be satisfied once Angi reimburse me in the amount of $625.76.

      This company has ripped me off for the last 5 months on multiple jobs they have taken jobs away from me for no reason they have charged me fees for no reason they charged me everyday for daily cash out but it states cashed out daily at midnight and deposited by 5:00 a.m. the next day and I don't get it for 3 Days sometimes sometimes it takes him like 2 weeks to give him give me the money and they say it's my bank which it's not my bank it's them it's them holding the money they don't pay me what I'm supposed to be paid they overcharge customers they underpay me they take money from me constantly and if I say anything about it they take my jobs away and withhold my paycheck for days and then just like today I went to a job that was supposed to be $174 got there and I looked at the job and I explained to her I'm not a special text for refrigeration I'm not qualified and she needed to call a special refrigerator tech for this job gave her the numbers to call and said they would you know have to be specialist to come do the job she needed they charged me $15 for showing up to that job didn't pay me nothing but charged me 15 bucks and I used more than $15 in gas just to get to the job and then I was attacked by her two big huge Great Danes I have marks all over my body because they attacked me so I couldn't even go into the house because of her dogs this company does nothing but scam people rip customers off rip employees off overcharges that his customers and underpins the employees they're nothing but a scam and they need to be shut down I'm surprised they're still in business or all this scamming they do and I have a lot of people that will back me up just my customers alone

      This company misrepresented itself during a sales pitch, and did not offer clear instructions on how to proceed. The lead generating service has not sent me a single valid lead, and will not refund my money and will close my account after forcing me to pay 30% of the remaining balance of a years contract that we were not really aware we were in. This company has taken money from me with no return on the investment and then holds my credit worthiness hostage for more money. I am super dissatisfied with this company. For $1200, Ive not been given a single lead in my lead generating field of work. Im a plumber, I dont do landscaping, which is all but 1 of the leads generated for my HVAC and Plumbing shop. When asked about it after the second $600+ payment was taken from the card we originally paid with, they said that we are not generating leads because we dont have any reviews.. should I go mow ************** to get the reviews that will get me on the hit list for good leads?

      On August 2nd 2022 I signed up for lawn mowing & trimming service with Angi. The closest date for service available was August 4th. We will need this as a recurring service so I signed up for the membership to save some money. On the day of service, August 4th- I receive a phone call from the pro stating that he does not, in fact, perform lawn mowing service. I was assigned someone to do a job they dont actually do. I called Angi and the rep was horrible. She did not listen or understand what I was saying. She gave me conflicting information. She refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I called back a second time and had service rescheduled for Saturday. I get an email saying I have a service for Sunday. I call back a 3rd time to confirm the Saturday date. I asked all 3 agents to confirm I would not be charged. They all happily told me I would not be charged anything because no service was provided. I also would not be charged a fee for a same day cancellation since it wasnt my fault I was assigned someone who doesnt perform the job they were hired to do. I then received a charge to my account and a refund. Essentially I was lied to because I was actually charged even though no service was done and I was explicitly told I would not be charged. Horrible customer service, unethical business practices and really shady dealings with Angi. And I still have no lawn service done!

      We're sorry to hear that Brienna's experience has been anything but positive. This is not the type of service we would expect for her to have when coming to us for help around her home. After reviewing her complaint, we did speak with her directly on August 4th.There was an inadvertent charge on her account which was promptly refunded in full. She also asked us to cancel her recurring service, so there would be no pros sent to her home to perform the work. As her money has been refunded, and she has cancelled all appointments we do ask that she reach back out to our ************* team if she would like to set up any additional services for her lawn.

      I was contacted by an Angi's representative in July 2022. His name was *******************************. He explained the services that would be provided, but failed to mention anything about the 35% fee if I cancelled. He sent me a contract via email to sign. The contract was not fully viewable, but ******************** said that it was "just a basic contract" to sign. I was then put into contact with an onboarding rep who set up the site. Then I was sent onto a "Business Manager" to handle my account. Again, none of the 35% fee was ever mentioned until I tried to cancel a few days ago. Now they want over $1,100 which I do not have. My company has been listed on Angi's list for over a month now, and I received NONE of the services that they've promised starting with *******. I requested to cancel and I was then told about the 35% fee! I'm completely upset that they're out here ripping small businesses like mine off. If I can't afford the ridiculous $300/month fee for their service (and I used that term lightly), then why in the world would I have $1,100 to cancel their contract full of lies!!! I have attached the email regarding the cancellation and also the "contract" they provided me with. This is not even a contract!!!

Prior to the ad campaign going live, ******** was provided with a written advertising agreement. This agreement outlines all terms, including the length of agreement and cancellation policy. She has accepted and agreed to these terms. The Client Success Manager has been in contact with ******** throughout the duration of the ad campaign and has also provided her with the written ad agreement. As we have received her request to cancel, the agreement has been fully terminated. In an effort to come to a resolution, we will waive the early termination fees. While we would have preferred to continue with our business partnership, we wish ******** the best in any future business endeavors.

      I join angi ads 4 month ago with the promised that I will never have to chase a lead because this are very costumers! Which was completely a lie!! In all the four month are receive at list 2 or three lead making any money since all the costumer were either no responding, or they never ask for a service, or they live in ****** or many other!! So after multiple attempts to communicate with the costumer service to help they always refer me with the manager that is always the same. Hard to find and giving you just false promises.So now after paying more that **** in this months, I have to face a cancelation fee o other$ **** for a service that the only thing that did was scam me.The sales team make a bunch of false promises just to sale with zero professional ethics.They take advantage of small businesses sealing false products They have a terrible costumer service useless most of the time.They success manager never in the office and they just talked with no resolutions This is a terrible and scam company I will encourage other people to do the research and dont let this people take your money.I want all my money back!

To clarify, Angi Ads offers advertising placement in a directory environment where consumers reach out to companies directly after checking out their profile and reviews. We do offer an estimated number of contacts based on historical data from similar companies in the area. Since consumers are contacting the company of their choice and demand is subject to change, we are not able to guarantee a certain number of contacts every month. Agreements are also provided, in writing, prior to being accepted. It includes the services we offer, agreement length, and cancellation details. Our Onboarding team reached out to help collect reviews, build the companys profile, and provide tips and tools, which may help increase traffic to the companys profile. His Client Success Manager, along with our *************** representatives, provided him with this assistance, as well. The agreement was cancelled as requested, and it proceeded as outlined in the agreement. While apologize for any frustration he experienced with his direct contacts, we found no cause to refund any payments, as the services outlined in his advertising agreement were provided.

      The short version of the events is below. For the full list of issues see the attachment of my communications exchange with Angi and pictures: http://shorturl.at/cfgkz I hired Angi to paint the exterior of the house. With the first Angi advisor, we discussed what needed to be done and documented it in the proposal and contract. The steps outlined were: Pressure clean, scrape, sand, seal/caulk, minor wood repair as needed, two coats of the stain. Contractor skipped most steps of surface prep. He power washed, and sprayed the stain the following day on top of old loose paint. Spent another day trying to clean up the mess that resulted from that. (http://shorturl.at/cfgkz). After that he left. When I called to ask when he is coming back to finish the job, he said he is done.I took hundreds of pictures, did 30 minuted walk-around video, and send it to Angi to inform them what happened. (See email communication attached and http://shorturl.at/cfgkz).Angi informed me there was a miscommunication and the contract they have with me, outlined paint prep steps that the contractor never promised to them. The contractor showed up unannounced a couple of weeks later, applied some caulk, and did more scraping, but it made very little difference. Two weeks later I reached out again to see how they would fix the mess and was informed that they were no longer going to work with me, and still demanding payment because the contractor "completed" some work. I since have confirmation in writing from *****************************, that it was an unacceptable way to apply the stain. I will have to hire someone else to redo the entire painting project from scratch.       We appreciate ********'s concern, and we're so sorry for the delay in response and to hear that his experience had been anything but positive. This is not the kind of experience we would expect for him to have. After reviewing his complaint and speaking with our projects team, ******** did voice his concern regarding the project. After multiple conversations with him he did agree to pay a lower cost for the work that was performed. We understand that the project was not completed to his satisfaction and this is why there was a sizeable deduction in the cost that he paid. He agreed to this after to work was completed and before the complaint was filed. Given that he approved the amount there should be no additional concerns. If he has any additional questions we ask that he reach out to his project manager directly.

      I have been working jobs for Angie's list, which they charge the customer a ladder fee of $30 or more. Now this fee is supposed to be paid on top of what the job pays once the its completed. But in order receive it I have to contact support via chat, which the only way they will process this is if I'm able to confirm with the customer via chat in there app that I used my ladder. Now just about ever job I take is either changing ceiling fans, light fixtures, garage door opener, building gazebos. Which I wouldn't be able to completed any of those jobs without one. Now this fee has already been paid by the customer so why is it that I have to confirm with a customer I used my ladder when I couldn't have completed it without one. And my problem I've been running into is that must of these customer dont have the app leaving me with not being able to confirm and be denied the ladder fee. Which Angie's list the. Pockets it

      Again I get weird responses followed by there go to they have to confirm it with the customer which they never do. They owe me the ladder fee for at least 10 jobs. That they won't pay.

      They said I needed to provide job#, when I provide them the information they requested. They followed by telling me I needed to provide date and time and location of job, which I would think they would have by looking up the job number. Now they're response is I provided the information requested. It makes no sense because the jobs I'm requesting ladder fees for say in the description of the job that a ladder is requested to bring the appropriate ladder. At this point I just want people to be able to see this company steals from the professional it hires to do their jobs and they can get away with it.

      I paid Home Advisor $262.98 on December 23, 2021. to repair my stove that was not working. The repair man told me I had to order the part to fix the stove. I ordered the part from ****** I later called Home Advisor to send another contractor to install the part. This contractor came out on January 15,2022. The Home Advisor contractor was working on my stove and damaged my countertop while he was attempting to fix it. This problem was not resolved. The stove blew up when I turned it on. I had to pay ***** to repair it. The booking#********, claim#********. My homeowner insurance paid $1,093.01 and Home Advisor is responsible for $1000.00 for my deductible.

      We appreciate ******** reaching out to us and sincerely apologize for any inconveniences that she has experienced. ******** was provided with a claims form to report any damages on the day of the service. Per our terms of use, the claims form and any additional documentation must be submitted within seven days. She has accepted these terms upon placing her order with us however, we did not receive the necessary documents within this timeframe. For this reason, we have denied her claim for damages. As a courtesy, on 7/12/22 a full refund of $262.98 was issued. If ******** has any additional questions, she may contact us again.

      On July 31, 2022 I requested my Pro Account with Angi be closed. At that time I had $2642.82 in credits. Angi reps gave me the run around for days claiming they would call me back. They told me that they wont give me a refund and there was no remedy to the situation. I Prepaid for a product and I no longer want and Angi is refusing to refund my money.
