      All details are on the attached Word file, the complaint itself, dates, times, etc. I did file a police report as suggested by Angi's list and Home Advisor. I also filed a complaint with Angi's list and Home Advisor, and they claimed no responsibility.File attached.

      We appreciate ******** concern, and we're so sorry to hear about his experience. This is not typical, and not the kind of service we would expect for him to have when coming to us for help. We have reviewed his complaint, and after going over his account notes, we can confirm that we have received the copy of the police report, and we're happy to provide them with any necessary information regarding their investigation. As we have explained to ****** previously, per our terms and conditions that he agreed to upon booking his service, cases of stolen or losses of cash are not covered. Any money for materials can be paid directly through our app. If that had been done we could have processed a refund for these funds. A pro should not be paid directly for bookings as we cannot track or secure any of the payments made. If he or the police do have any additional questions we do ask that they reach our to our ***************** at the email address we provided to him.

      Angis leads called us numerous times begging for our small business to use them for leads and referrals. When we signed up we were told they wouod give us a welcome call and explain the process. We never received that call. After 1 lead i contacted seemed kind if fishy, i requested to cancel my account. They informed i owed $2,000.00 dollars so i couldnt. I was shocked. They proceeded to list the leads and many were for services we dont offer (tree cutting, masonry) and many were fake/never requested or viewed. A few months later we get a call from a devt collector saying we owe $5,000.00 dollars and we need to pay it immediately. They lied about the way we would be billed and i believe they intentionally kept charging us for leads that we never wanted, nor did we use. ********************* was the sales person and he was very deceptive and wont return calls

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

      They are still trying to bully us into paying for services that we did not request, approve, nor do we even offer services for the type of leads they are demanding payment for. The 4 leads that Were legit, i am willing to pay for. It is no more than $200 dollars worth. This company uses fake leads and misleading information, to get you signed up, then threatens collections and states you owe way more than you ever thought. We are a a small business and this is disgusting how they practice business. I got a lead for daffy duck, for *** from progressive(voicemail)n, and many other unnamable voices/characters. Its not right, and if it was a legitimate business dealing, i would have payed my bill on the spot. Look up the open litigation against them from the *** and **** Attorney General. It states the exact fraudulent business practices im referring to. Its despicable what their doing. If they will resolve this matter with an appropriate $200.00 bill then i can agree to drop it. Thats the only viable option. If not were going to court and they can be exposed even more.

      We are sorry Angi Leads did not work for this service professional. After receiving this complaint, we followed up and discussed their account at length. We reviewed previous adjustments to increase their lead flow, the jobs they won, their questions regarding billing and what they agreed to when signing up for the service. As this service professional is also pursuing relief via a consumer complaint filed with the **** Attorney General, we will continue our good faith efforts to resolve their complaints as part of that process. We are still willing to honor that offer if they contact us.

      what your doing as a business is not only unethical, it is illegal. Your lawyers are not more powerful than the attorney generals office. Ive listed what youve done and i can prove it. You can accept my offer and enjoy a few more years of ripping people off. OR you could do the right thing and admit the wrong practices Nd fix them. And be a successful HONEST business. That being said Angiss did not speak with me at length about anything. They emailed and said all charges were legit but we will knock it down to $1,500.00. For 2 leads. One was installing ceiling fans, the other an estimate that didnt pan out. The rest were all fake, we mever received a welcome call with instructions on how the app worked, we never signed up for all the random services, or service areas.We dont cut trees, or fix cracked bathtubs, or sny other bull c*** they are saying we agreedd to. I have recorded phone calls, of the cancellation date when at the we only supposedly owed $2,000.00. By the time i filed this complaint they had come to the number $5,000 somehow.This was a scam from the start.

      The contractor from Angis showed up and opened the entire box to construct my dresser. He proceeded to tell me he needed more tools so he took the instructions with him. 45 minutes later I got a notification of over $1,000 charges on my credit card and ********** then was blocked by the contractors phone number and couldnt get ahold of him. He never showed up again. I now am out my $600 wallet, $300 cash and all my cards. I also am not able to even build the dresser on my own because he took the instructions. Angi customer service has not been able to come up with a solid solution for me. I am not terrified to ever let a contractor into my apartment again. I expect some sort of damages compensation along with reimbursement for the services that were left unrendered. My booking ID is ********.

This is not the kind of service we would expect for her to have when coming to us for help around the home. After reviewing her complaint, we did speak with her directly on August 5th, and we have sent a check refunding the amount for her service. We are also sorry to hear that the instructions for her furniture were taken. Most manufacturers to have downloadable instructions on their website for any of their products. We do suggest that she check there or reach out to the manufacturer to email assembly instructions.

      I signed up for Angi Leads Pro, and when I signed up the customer service representative told me they had a promotion going on. The promotion was pay 100$ and receive 300$ worth of leads, and that was the end of it. A one time charge. After the leads were sent, I never closed a lead, they always had others, or some even said they never contacted home advisor or angi. I was getting false leads, fake numbers, and I was being charged without me knowing. I now have a collection of over 2000$ with Angi, due to them not notifying me that I was going to be continued to be charged. I never agreed to continue getting leads. I was told after the 300$ credit of leads ended, I was done. I am looking for a lawsuit, and will join the rest of the people affected by this crooked company.

      I am an individual worker through the Angie Services app and their support button at the bottom to talk with somebody had sent me a number to talk to which took me 3 hours to find out I have to email them and in the email they were no help I explained what needed to happen and how they could help me by just changing my email and they send me a email asking for my information to change my email and then the next one after I send that information is would you like to rate our service 1 to 10 and I received absolutely no help and it's been two weeks and I would like to get paid by them and nobody in their company even knows how to help me or how to even run their own company to help me nobody knows who they're supposed to go to or anything and their support does not help

      This company has been debating my account for the past 4 months without my consent.I call for a work to be done, the contractor came out did the Job I paid him cash and he left, but these people continue to charge me.

This is not the kind of service we would expect for her to have. After reviewing her account, we can see that her service was set for reoccurring. When this happens, there will be a service booked at regular intervals. As the homeowner only needed to have work done once, this should not have been set up this way. We did process full refunds on August 3rd for the unnecessary bookings. We have also cancelled the recurring service and there will be no future charges.       They find a way to take their contractors money for any reason after over charging the client to begin with . If there is an issue we contact angi and let them know such as . Client does not have the items needed to do the job . Response from angi is the client will still be charged and I would get paid as the client didn't show . Angi took my pay out of my account with out permission stealing my money . I am not the only contractor with this issue .

      Date of Transaction: 7/25/22 & 7/31/22.Amount paid $254.71 (for 4 hours 12:30pm-4:30pm). An assembly project request was placed on Thursday, July 21st. Description and size of project was given to agent booking the Professional Pro. During the booking the agent was asked if the project will only require 4 hours considering the size of the gazebo. Was told if it required additional hours, it would not be my responsibility to pay for the additional hours. I would pay what was quoted When the professional pro arrived at my home to start the assembly, he immediately stated this project required 2 assemblers and couldn't guarantee to finish the project within the 4 hours allotted. I called Angi Support and spoke to an agent. I was asked to call back at the end of the scheduled time (4:30pm) to inform how many additional hours were needed. At 4:30pm, I called the support line and stated the job was incomplete. I was not able to give the hours the professional pro needed to complete the job. I was told again that if the professional pro was able to complete it, the additional hours would be approved. I informed the professional pro and he committed to return the following day 7/26/22. When the professional pro arrived at 2pm on 7/26, I called Angie supports to reconfirm that professional pro was at my home to complete the job. I was asked to call back to confirm how many additional hours were needed. At 7pm I called again the support line to inform the professional pro had completed the job in 5 additional hours(2-7pm). At that time, It was reiterated that payment for the additional hours would be rendered by Angie Services. At no time, was I told that it was my responsibility to request an additional professional pro to assist with completing the job. On 7/31 my credit card was charged an additional $264.64. On 8/1, I called Angie support. I was told the pro needed to get paid and it was my responsibility to render payment. Project Id #********. No resolution

      The salesman lied to me from the beginning. I told him I would not pay for every lead because they send the lead to other competitors in my area. He assured me that I would only be charged for the leads I got the contract for. This was the first lie. I was told by the salesman only three competitors would be given the same lead. This was a lie. I ask a customer how many companies came to her home for the same lead and was told at least 9 companies had come to her home from Angies. Now they say I owe them 4 or 5 hundred. Also they are going to hit my credit for the money. If I was to lie to people and charge them for things they did not agree to it is called fraud. They should be held to the same standards as everyone else.

      A couple months ago Busy Bee **************** Services began using Angi. We agreed to put $300 up front and have leads charged to that amount and when the $300 was done turn off leads and we would decide if we wanted to continue using them. They never turned off the leads and without authorization charged $500 worth of leads to the business account and when called took no accountability for their actions and refused to refund anything. The only thing they offered was to refund $70 if we remained customers. So basically gave an ultimatum and if we wouldnt agree they wouldnt help at all. Very unprofessional and take advantage of small companies making things unclear from the beginning. None of the 24 leads we were sent turned into jobs, out of those only 3 people were set with appointments because most had no clue why we were calling. They do not take care of their customers or the people looking for companies. Theyre a JOKE.
