      I contacted Angi,online, to see about getting my fence replaced. *************************** Project Advisor (**************, contacted me and provided me with a proposal to replace my fence for $5100. I was required to submit a down payment of $1020. I did so on April 4, 2022. I was told that Angi would handle all contact with the fencing company and that the work would be started the first of June. After several calls to ******* at the beginning of June ,I was told that the work was to be done by All Type FenceCo, from ******* ,**. ************************* *************) finally came out once to measure the existing fence. He never returned to start the work and did not return my calls.Eventually he did call me and said that he would start the work soon. It is now the end of July. I still have no money and no fence. I requested a return of my deposit since the project was never begun. I have called Angi and *************************** to get my deposit refunded and neither would return my calls. ******* did finally contact me two weeks ago on July 18, and stated that he had submitted paper work to get my refund processed and I would get it in a few days. Its two weeks later and I still have no fence and no money.I am a senior citizen, living on a pension, and I can not afford to just give away $1020 and get nothing in return. I want my refund back so that I can hire someone more dependable and professional to replace my fence which is falling down.Angi is also known as Handy and Home Advisors. I contacted Angi at **************. I see ,from your website that they can also be reached at **************.

This is not the kind of service we would expect for her to have. After reviewing her complaint we can confirm that we did process a full refund on August 4th.       Back in April i booked an appointment with Angi/Home advisor for paint job. Not long after booking the appointment i decided that i didn't want to move forward so I went online and cancelled the appointment that same day. i was having trouble with their website so i decided to snap a screenshot to prove that i had cancelled the appointment if any issues should arise. On the scheduled day that i cancelled the appointment a painter shows up to my house to paint. I explained to him that i cancelled the appointment a week ago. He said fine and left. I then got an email from my home advisor saying i would still be charged because i did not cancel the appointment. I sent them a copy of the screenshot proving that i cancelled the appointment. In the meantime, they went ahead and charged my Synchrony Home credit card $365.97. I emailed them back and forth for 3 weeks. They'd copy and paste responses from their previous responses, never addressing my claim. They would not give me a number to call to speak with someone. I asked to speak to someone in the dispute depart and i was told they don't take calls. i cancelled the appointment and i want my money back.

      We appreciate ****** bringing this to our attention, and we're so sorry to hear that she had any difficulties cancelling her appointment. After reviewing her complaint, we can see that the time stamp on her screen shot was taken the same day as her appointment. She did not successfully cancel her appointment through our site, and the cancelled portion on her screen shot is there because we cancelled the appointment after the Pro called us to let us know she did not want the work done. Anytime there is a question on the cancellation of a project our ************* team should be called to verify that it is cancelled. Given all of this, we have still processed a full refund for her service. Refunds can take 3 - 5 business days to show on an account. If she has any additional questions regarding this we ask that she reach back out to our ************* team directly for more information.

      I used Angies list to find a pool contractor to fix my pool. I could not find one so I used their "pay in advance" feature via credit card to confirm a prescheduled appointment by them by an unknown contractor to be selected by them? The gave me an appointment time and date and charged my card. Their pool contractor never showed or called on the date expected. I have tried to Angies list several times to get a refund. They refuse to take my calls. They also do not answer most of the time. There is no one you can speak to. I had to pay another contractor to come out to fix my pool nearly a month later. After I disputed the charge for them not coming out to my house, they committed fraud and lied to my creditor and stated that their contractor came out. But they failed to disclose who the contractor was (meaning there was no contractor). They took my money and are refusing to give it back when they did not perform their services by sending the contractor out on the appointment time that Angies list sent. It is my full intention to contact the Attorney General of ******** Consumer Protection and ****************** If they did this to me, then they are doing this to everyone across the country. I will be asking the ** to conduct a Mass Joinder Investigation into the financial escrow analysis of their company as they like to spend other peoples funds and mismanage their escrow accounting. I believe these to be criminal activities. I disputed the charges on my credit card but they are refusing to refund. I want a refund or justice with the Criminal Court system

      Lied to me when they missed lead me to join them with the promise that enrollment will be free of charge stated by the employee of contact. Instead they charge me $300 as soon as I found out that they lied to me I called and cancel the membership . However was not successful on getting my money back theyre a total scammers

      I hired this handyman company. Later I found out that they do not provide permit for their jobs. So I CANCEL their service. Thats still trying to withdraw money from my bank account causing me fees. I want a refund of $200 in overdraft and declined fees

      I contacted angi to have a ****** replaced in my kitchen light in the middle of June, 2022. Angi sent *********************** to do the job. In the process of replacing the ****** he deceided he should also rewire the fixture in the ceiling.After he left that day, after being here for 4 four hours, i shut the fixture off. when i switched the fixture off it blew the breaker on the breaker panel. it also blew the refrig breaker, shutting down the refrig and the light. *********************** had left me his phone number, so i called him directly and told him what had happened. He said he would come back and fix the problem but i had to wait for a week because he has a night job. He returned later at the end of the week, spent another 4 hours here rewiring everything. Nothing worked he couldnt get it to stop blowing the breaker. He had to go to work so he said he would be back the next week. he never showed or called or text. I called him serveral times he didnt answer. i called angi told them about him. they said they would send someone else, who never showed. i called angi again they sent *******. ******* worked very hard but said he couldnt figure out what *********************** had done. so as of today july 28,2022 my light still isnt fixed. i have to leave it on all the time, day and night. i have emailed angi several times with no answer. my "happeness guarentee" as they advertise has not been met. i am very unhappy.

      We're so sorry to hear that ****'s light fixture is still not working properly after her most recent booking. This is not the kind of experience we would expect for her to have when coming to us for help around the home. After reviewing her complaint we did process a 50% refund after the initial service and have not charged her for any subsequent bookings. We did process a refund for the remaining balance and she can expect to see the funds on her account statement within 3 - 5 business days. We did also send a claim form to her. The claims process, when approved, does allow for reimbursement for any damages or repairs needed due to an issue with a booking.       This is regarding complaint #******** against angi. I rejected the offer from angi for a 50% refund because i just had a certified electrican come out to my house, who in  20 minutes fixed the problem angi created for me back in june 2022. I fixture had been wired wrong when the guy put in the ******. *********************** was not an electrican and should not have been sent to my house. Neither should the other 2 guys they sent out to fix the first guys mistake. After *********************** messed up my fixture and wiring I asked angi to send out a certified electrican but they sent out 2 more handymen.

      Angi does not use the appropriate people for the job. It has now cost me ****** dollars for a new ****** in my light fixture. I want angi to give me a full refund for the job they could not fix.

      I will not ever use angi again and will let everyone I know not to use angi.

      This matter has stressed me a great deal. I still dont have my light so i can turn it off. I feel a full refund is necessary since i now have to find an electrical company to come out and correct the job angi was supposed to have fixed.

      I requested quotes for housekeeping prices on BBB and Angi was one of companies that responded on 5/18. I tried calling but was told to schedule online. I read that in order to get 20% off you had to become a member so I did this on 5/24/2022 for $29.99 and scheduled a cleaning service. I had to input my credit card information and they said I would not be charged until after the service. No one showed or called and then after the time they were supposed to be there I got an email cancelling the appointment with no explanation. I scheduled again and again they did not show and when I tried to call I got a message saying that the phone number was not in their system and so they were not answering and to call from number on file. I was at my Dad's house and so could not call from my home phone. I was charged the full amount for cleaning. I called Angi several times and was disconnected each time either before or after I spoke to a person. The last time I called, I said that their system was unreliable and so I did not want to be a member and they said they would refund my money. However, they only refunded the cleaning fee (which was NEVER done) but not my membership fee. I called twice more. They said they would refund the membership fee but to date that has not happened. I am very frustrated and though it is not much money I want it refunded. I will NEVER use their services for anything and if I figure out how, I will write bad reviews about them.

      I hired Angi to have a one-time move-out cleaning of an apartment. They stated they would just charge $120 and have it done Monday, July 25th. Once I inspected the quality of the work it was non-existent! She supposedly cleaned for 2 hours and only vacuumed and cleaned one toilette. I called immediately and they said they would provide another cleaner on Wednesday, July 27th. The same exact thing happened. When I called to explain again and get the 100% refund that I was promised if I was never satisfied. They tried to just offer me a 50% discount unless I could provide them with pictures. These companies now have a reparation for sending criminals out to older homeowners only to cause more damage than before they arrived.

      I started a contract with Anjis list in May of this year. This is my first time owning a business as well as being under contract with someone for getting my name out there and bringing in more business. I first talked to ****** a rep from anjis she told me I was only being charged for lead I accepts or contacted. That I wouldn't be paying anything until I got the job. I got my 1st **** the following week it was 600 I called they told me it was for the leads. My 2nd **** was went up to ****. I called again and they told me I had misleading information on my contract. My 3rd **** was ****. I called and they talked to 3 different managers about it they all told me the same thing. I was told misleading information and they'll work in it to see if there's something they could do. I never heard anything back. I went to my bank to put a hold on my card. (That didn't work) 2 weeks later Anjis list took ******* from my bank. That was from a customer for a roof job.(Not my money) I called and they said it was for my pasted bills. I asked about if they resolved any of the issues I had stated in the past. Also asked how am i supposed to pay for material without money. They told me the best they Can do is give me a credit of 800. I canceled my account with them and put In a dispute with me bank.( THAT DIDNT WORN EITHER) So now I'm going yo file a small claims against them. If anyone contractor or homeowner is thinking about doing business with them beware. They will tell you one thing and completely change it. I've talked to multiple managers and supervisors they all day the same they can't do anything. I will not be doing business with them again and hopefully I can get this resolved.
