  Do not even think about using Angi for any type of home repair work. In December 2024 I scheduled a roof repair with Angi where the repair was supposed to be done at 10am. No one showed up. The repair person texted me after 12 noon and claimed that they were running late and would arrive by 1:30pm. No one showed up, but that afternoon whoever this individual was kept attempting to access my bank account to withdraw the fee that I was quoted. I immediately contacted my bank and had my debit card cancelled, and I closed my account with ********************** after speaking to one of their "agents" over the phone. To this day, (May 22, 2025) I keep getting messages from Angi that states "We had a problem processing the payment for your Roof Repair booking on Monday, December 9, 2024 10:00AM. Dont worry, it may be that your card details are just out of date. Please log into your account to update your payment details" at least 3 to 4 times a week where they keep attempting to withdraw my money. I even asked Angi who was the company or person that they contacted to do the roof repair and was told that they could not supply me with that information. Angi is a full fledged SCAM!

  ********* company stay as far away from that company as possible. Its not worth your time nor your investment as a contractor I had their service and I put them on hold for almost a year because of their unqualified leads and they just take your money. I would not recommend them to anyone. They even charge you an annual fee even if you do have your leads on hold and they try to talk you into staying with them for as long as they possibly can just to get you to the next year where they can charge you and then they send you an email saying thank you for a great year Instead of saying annual renewal. Its a scam.

  I was charged for a renewal on Angie even though I hadnt used the service at all. When I contacted customer support, they claimed they sent me an email about the renewal which I never received. I explained this and requested a refund. They canceled my account but refused to refund the charge, saying that because they sent the email, they wouldnt return my money.I spoke with two different supervisors, and both flat-out refused to help. I even offered to pay for the one month my account was active and asked for the rest to be refunded still, they declined and abruptly ended the call.On top of that, the way they handle leads is deeply flawed and feels like a cash grab. They send the same lead to multiple pros and charge every single one, regardless of whether the customer responds or not. And again no ********** me, this feels like a legal way to run a scam. I would not recommend Angie to anyone. Terrible customer service and shady business practices

  Angis list sold my information and now I have to change my phone number due to hundreds of calls from people trying to sell me contracting services daily. Im on the US opt out list so I am pretty sure this is illegal.

  Angie's List, through its evolution to Angie List Pro, has transformed from a promising business model into one that raises significant ethical concerns, particularly for business owners who rely on its services. Initially regarded as a reliable platform connecting service providers with homeowners, recent changes have diluted its value and integrity. As a former satisfied user, I am disheartened to witness a decline in lead quality whereby business owners like myself face a challenging landscape.Over the past six months, my meticulous record-keeping indicates that an alarming 1 in 18 leads generated by Angies List has proven viable. This inefficacy is compounded by the revelation that we are being sold leads for individuals often facing financial hardshipsthose reliant on welfare assistance or elderly citizens who are unaware of how their information was obtained. With an average cost of $170 per lead for business owners against a supposedly free service for homeowners, the imbalance is troubling.Moreover, while Angies List does provide a review mechanism for discrepancies, the lack of credits issued for fraudulent leads further exacerbates the issue. Without a transparent process for verifying leads or engaging in three-way calls to address concerns, the credibility of this once-reputable platform is severely compromised. It is imperative for Angie's List to reassess its practices to restore trust and integrity for the business owners who depend on its services.

  I signed up four years ago just find a approximate cost. Cost and quality of service was a joke. No different than going thru ****** search. I was getting so many calls, most of them have nothing to do with what I requested. Still, I am getting so many calls, even after four years. Had to call angi's to stop and remove my number three times already.

  Worst company to do business with. If youre a contractor stay far away from this company. The leads I receive lately are scams at best. The company is very reluctant to credit you for scam leads. The last credit I received was only approved after I threatened to close my account. Ive got 3 leads in review now, if theyre not credited I will close my account immediately!

  Signed up as a worker and their process is very pushy. They also ask for two peoples numbers, saying anyone will do as long as theyll give you a five star review even though you have not necessarily worked for them. The *** said it was fine to get a five star review from my wife, which doesnt build confidence in their rating system. Leaving this review because theyre generally pushy and expensive on top of this.

  I hired a plumber to which was unprofessional, unreliable, and no communication whatsoever!!! The business was ********* plumbing and heating...don't offer these guys for anything!!!! You couldn't establish a time window for nothing..horrible, horrible, horrible!!

  So far I have some plumbing done and the interior of my house painted thru contractors from Angi's. Work was done with good results. Will use again.
