Absolutely the worst customer service and billing people I have ever deal with in healthcare. DO NOT USE THEM. They send fraudulent bills that make no sense and bill your insurance company incorrectly causing claims to be denied and then want you to pay for their error even though the agreement w my insurance company doesn't allow them to come after me for their errors.MONTHS on the phone trying to resolve - had enough and said just come get the machine. They told me i needed a doctors note to return it lol! I said nope come get it or its going in the trash. They said I would have to sign that was returning it AMA. UNREAL!Finally they came and got it - told me I had to be home for it because I had to sign somethign - not true - the wacko that came and picked up didn't have me sign anything and wouldn't provide a receipt while he mumbled obscure comments. NEVER AGAIN.I will ask my doctor for another referral to a company that is not sketchy.Apria

They try to bill me for supplies that are over the amount covered by my insurance. For example, they send me 6 cpap filters,(I have a drawer full of them) instead of the 2 per month allowed by my insurance, then they send me a bill. This is a shady business that should have a class action lawsuit against them as Ive seen many such complaints.Apria

How this comI really wish there was a way to give "0" stars because that's what this rating would be. The local branch in ******* has been quite rude but the whole company wouldn't be able to boil water.While I have had problems in the past ( I don't know why my insurance company still deals with them, I don't really have much of a choiice) This time they tried to deliver my ****** to the wrong address and it's still not resolved. They went into my bank account and took funds without my authorization or knowledge. My insurance had paid and I had met my deductibles and had $0 patient responsibility. Now like am in a 6 months long fight to get my money back. They recently sent me a check for $4. A drop in the bucket of what they removed fraudulently from my personal checking account. They tried to claim I went on line and paid the amount and thats the only way they would have gotten the funds. I showed them evidence that it was done by Apria and only apria. They committed a fraud by accessing my checking account without my knowledge and or authorization. I will **** And notify my insurance co ***************** V of their illegal actions.Apria

Horrible organization from the start with false information on **** machine cost through my insurance. Three times I called and asked the local office what it would cost for me to get a **** machine with my insurance which is a very common one in my area because of the size of the organization I work for. Each time they said around $115.00 total with several monthly payments of around $10. Well, dont give them your credit card and authorization to charage anything. Within a couple couple months, they had charged me $400. I decided fine, I will call their billing department and straighten it out. I did ( I called in good faith to work it out) and they said I had paid the balance and I specifically asked if there would be any more monthly costs and bills. They said no, it was all taken care of. Well, that was a lie as well, they are still charging me today and calling to leave annoying phone messages trying to get payment. A very deceiving and underhanded way to get business in my opinion. If you want the pathetic **** machine back, please...I will send it to you if you return my $400. I was expecting and told I would pay $115 3 times by the local office. I cannot get used to the **** and I thought over time I would try it out more to try to take care of my health situation. Now I am very sorry I called Apria Healthcare to get a **** machine. BTW, I record all phone calls and I have the three phone calls from the local office telling me the costs and also the phone call to Apria Healthcare Billing to try to get the payments completed.Apria

I am very relieved to see these postings. My Sleep Doctor warned me about Apria, but I refused his advice. Others have pointed out that they repeatedly "bill you" without sending the bill. They send bills to collection that you have never seen. They bill twice or more. They don't respond to phone calls to document their claims. I waited over a month for them to call me back. Late last year, they "dug up" a bill in September 2023 from 2022 after I had already paid for what they claimed was in "arrears." I asked how they could present a bill when all claims had already been settled. They hung up on me four times today. They initially sent their "resupply" team to collect their "claim" from 2022. However, the resupply team had no access to billing information. Then, I was sent to the billing department. I had previously spoken with "Tier 2" at the billing department in 2023, but they never followed up with a phone call or any documentation. In the interim, they hired a collection agency, but I have never received any notice from them.I believe I paid for the "bill" when it was charged since I have a record of payment at about that time. Alternatively, I believe Apria tried to collect from an insurance carrier where I had no insurance (after I told them they were not my carrier). Now, they refuse to resupply me. They think that we all magically pay without seeing any records if they call with a demand to pay a second time. Each discussion with them consumes one to three hours. The staff disappears or hangs up. They pretend like they are in charge, but are not. They need to be investigated for fraudulent practices. I am concerned about my credit rating for bills that were never presented to me. I am sorry for the people who work there. .I agree that "no stars" would be the better option. If only I could bill them for my time...Apria

I've never actually hated a company but I hate Apria. The company has zero respect for their customer's time. I have more than a 20 year experience with Apria. Before *****, they double and triple booked their in person appointments so there was always a long wait to be seen. ALWAYS. And now, they call me frequently for unknown reasons and when I return their calls I get bounced around because there is no record of their calling me. This has happened several times. SO FRUSTRATING. Now, I am trying to purchase a travel CPAP and the Apria representative confirmed I have a valid prescription on file. The next Apria representative said I do not have a valid prescription and canceled my purchase. I HATE APRIA.Apria

This company are crooks. Their stated company policies are not good business practices. They charge customers but are unable to tell them what the bill is for. They charge customers credit cards without authorization. I called this company and requested CPAP supplies in December and gave them my credit card and authorization this single transaction as they told me they could not send the supplies without paying for my portion after insurance. The order never arrived. I called back in January for my supplies and was told the order had been canceled. Again, I requested my CPAP supplies, authorized a single transaction, and supplies were delivered. Now I looked at my credit card statement and I have another transaction charged to my Credit card account that I did not authorize. Called Apria to figure out why and was told they did not know. Apria started talking about the card being on file which is not supposed to be the case. I have requested that my credit card not be on file for this very reason. Every time I call this company they can not answer my questions and send me to a different department that can not answer my questions. DO NOT USE this company. There needs to be an option of leaving no stars.Apria

Apria healthcare should be closed down because they are unreliable and the worst service provider. My baby needs oxygen and tube feeding supplies and i don't get the supplies that i need on time which her life depends on it. They are very unprofessional and can't deliver the supplies that your loved ones depend on. If you call them you get transferred many times and they finally hang up. i had to use a feeding tube that is disposable for more than a week because i didn't get the supplies and my baby was without oxygen for 16 hour's because they didn't deliver the suppliesApria

Apria has little to do with Healthcare. I was released from the hospital pending an oxygen concentrator delivered to my house. I was never contacted to know exactly when they were arriving to have someone greet them. Basically when they showed up by chance my niece was in the yard and was able to let them in. They did not wait for me to give me instructions on its use. Instead of delivering a portable unit that I can carry to my ************ the next couple of days, they left two empty large canisters for me to fill and haul around. I called them immediately and asked for a portable unit so I could make my doctor's ************ two days after. A young man dropped off a unit with no instructions and when I charged it overnight as directed it did not hold a charge. So the morning of my doctor's *********** we didn't know how I was going to get there without oxygen. I was on hold for 25 to 30 minutes trying to get through to Apria to help me understand why the unit wasn't working. We finally gave up and had to figure out using the car charger unit in the car and from the car into the building to quickly find an outlet we could use. My doctor's ******* was the most difficult thing we're going to face including all my symptoms was dealing with Apria. How this company that has gotten so many bad reviews is still in business is a shame on our system of customer care!Today I called to check on the replacement my doctor ordered and they said maybe in a week. In the meantime I'm Tethered to my house unable to make other doctor ************. they wouldn't send someone with a new battery for the pack, and if they did that too will take a number of days?! What a sham of a company.Apria
