1 starBait and switch. My husband called 3-4 days in advance and told them that I had a 2016 Mini Cooper and they quoted him $84 for an oil change on it. I was charged $108 for the oil change alone. I was told I needed a new battery that would be $150 and it turned out to be $240. And wiper blades that no one told me the price on. I wasn't given ANY prices during my 50+ minutes there. The "manager"?? went looking for my OBD port to plug in their piece of equipment to keep my system from resetting while they unhooked the battery, (once they FOUND the piece of equipment, since no one seemed to know where it was) he gave the underside of the car's dash a cursory once over and gave up. Since he couldn't find it in just a minute, he gave up and assumed my car didn't have one. I Googled where it was in 2 seconds. When I managed to get his attention 5 minutes later, I told him that my car DOES have one and I found where it was located. His response? "Yeah, hahahaha!" Clearly, he either didn't hear me, or wasn't listening to me. While sitting there (my niece and I) we watch guys in the next bay not even know how to operate equipment properly! One guys hooks up a piece of equipment and when it doesn't work right, he just starts moving the hose around like it's just not sucking things up correctly. Another worker throws a lever and twists a knob before it starts to work. They finally get my battery reinstalled and the "manager" proceeds to say, "Let's get you all settled up!" I don't get a total, I don't get to see a bill, no breakdown of charges, nothing. He holds his hand out for a credit card. Well, figuring it was $84 + $150 + maybe $20 each for the wiper blades, I hand over my card. He rings it up and hands me the invoice for $410! Well, I was settled up already so he did his best, after that, to avoid me. I had to wait until I'm half pulled out of the bay to ask him - how the heck my $150 battery became $240?! He just says, "You needed that AGM battery. Sorry." and shrugs.Review fromJessica B

1 starI came by in plenty of time to get my emissions done. I failed the first inspection and was told I can retest. I came back the next day and the emissions person was out for the day. I was redirected to another location that was supposed to do the retest for free. Their machine was down. I then went out of town for a family emergency For 4 days. I came back to the original location and was told by ***** that the machine was down. He then told me the state of GA has to come fix the machine and hes not sure when itll be fixed. He redirected me to a shell station down the road and it will be retested for free. the attendant at the shell pointed out that I have to pay again if its not the original station. I call the original location to tell them but I was met with attitude and was told that the machine was down. Now the machine is broken and they wont refund me even after saying I could get a free retest at a different location (which is an lie) and given the runaround. I asked for the owners information and was kicked out the office instead and given a fake name and number. NEVER go to this place for your car repairs or inspections. ***** the manager is very unprofessional, he was even wearing **** slides at work. ***** and the rest of the employees are unknowledgeable and rude. They lie about the smallest things so theres no telling what else theyre lying about. If I could give 0 stars I would.Review fromKayla S

1 starGot an oil change here, only for my plate to fall under my car hanging, while I was on the Hwy. I returned they apologized, saying an employee has done it to multiple cars. They agreed to fix it, only to call me the next day and say it is not their fault. I could have DIED OR CAUSES A MAJOR PILE UP where the speed limit is 75 mph! They decided it can’t come off by itself, so I had to hit something. Roadside said that it was not put on properly and only had two screws hominid it up, when there are 8! They are a SCAM and they do NOT KNOW HOW TO DO A SIMPLE
OIL CHANGE! I will NEVER go to another valvoline in LIFE!!!!Review fromAmanda L

1 starMy sister, ****, took her car here for an oil change, they suggested she do a radiator flush also but they left air bubbles in her radiator which caused her car to blow a gasket and now she needs a whole new engine. Repair costs are just over $6,000 and they have been unwillingly and refusing to compensate despite the mechanic telling them they caused it. The area ******************* has been very unresponsive, not returning calls when he says he will, and was very rude to the mechanic that diagnosed the issue because he wouldn't tell him what he wanted hear. He is trying to say the gasket blew because was driven while over heating. Well this man is pulling at strings, cars don't over heat when not on being driven. You can't just stop immediately in the middle of the freeway when you car over heats, you have to pull over somewhere safe and by then the damage was done. Their senior tech even came to her job to look at it and said he fixed the problem and she was safe to drive. She got a mile before it over heated again, it was valvolines tech that said she could drive home or else she would have got the tow truck at that point. After doing some digging, we found out that the people working on cars are not ************** but people who were certified only be Valvoline, she was told by their senior tech to contact a real mechanic to diagnose the problem . This goes way beyond the code of ethics listed on their website. I would definitely think twice about doing business here.Review fromJose F

1 starAvoid taking your automobile here, patch up work will be done with out your knowledge. Got oil changed at this location. In apirl 2023. They installed a "piggy back" drain plug with out my knowledge, and cross threaded the pulg so when i went to get my oil changed again at a different shop they realized the threads came out when they pulled the plug out.
I reached out and filed a claim, they said it wasn't them. And took no responsibility. Now I have to replace my oil pan at least $500, something Valvoline doesn't do. The employees that did the job nonlonger work there and no responsibility was taken by the company.
Extremely disappointed, and will make sure that family and friends avoid these shops.Review fromPaul F

1 starI have had my car oil change from the same valvoline instant oil, waxhachie, ** the last 3 times. This last time their evacuation equipment/hoses were not working properly therefore could not drain all the oil. They had to remove oil plug. In doing so, they stripped/broke the plug. I waited almost 2 hours for oil change because they had to find a temporary to fix it. I filed a claim and had 2 recorded calls. 1st call was with claims and manager at *********, ** location. He told me they overfilled oil and would have noticed the plug if it had damage to it when changing the oil filter, if they actually did that. 2nd recorded call was with area mgr *********************. He was placing blame on another location that I went to, valvoline express, 4 oil changes past. *** expressed to me, on the recorded call that he needs to respect his employees decisions and not respect the customers car his employees damaged. I'm out hundreds of dollars to get oil pan replaced that his employees damaged. Not to mention, out of a car for a bit. I am VERY dissatisfied with the treatment I am receiving and the unhappy that when I do talk with someone regarding this issue I hear a different story as to what really happened that day. My claim #cs0506488.Review fromMatthew O

1 starI would not recommend using this business. Early March 2023, I went to this Valvoline for a routine oil change. After giving them my car's info, the Valvoline attendant casually recommended a transmission fluid exchange for my vehicle. Following Valvoline's recommended service, the transmission in my vehicle died, leaving my vehicle totaled. I took Valvoline to court for destroying my vehicle, court fees and loss of wages in mid/late March. The court provided there judgment, Valvoline was judged to reimburse me in full for my vehicle, court fees, and loss of wages. Instead, of doing what the court asked, Valvoline attempted to overturn the judgement in late April 2023 and failed. Valvoline is dragging there feet, leisurely taking there time after turning my life upside down. At the beginning of my court claim, Valvoline staff would give me nothing but a refund of my oil change and their 'recommend services' in a check the would come in the mail. The check never came, and the courts judgment is that they owe me a much larger check for there damages. With That, I do not recommend using this business.Review fromLeesandra J

1 starI went and got an oil change and my fluids topped off on May 27, 2023 less two weeks later I start experience issues with my car, running hot I had my car towed to a M******* *****. And found out that I had a blown head gasket. I was told whoever did my oil change did not put enough oil in my car and there was oil-leaking from oil pump or oil filter Housing my fluids was not topped off and there was no coolant in radiator. I keep my car regularly maintenance it was proven by a certified mechanic a M*******
that Vavoline was responsible for my blown head gasket . I filed a claim with Vavoline. I was told by the manager that she would send someone out to investigate. No one ever showed up at M*******. On 7-7-2023 the store manager denied the claim without investigation I was told it’s because her area manager instructed her to. There was video footage showing that the employees was not sure about how much oil to put in my car and also footage of them checking the coolant and saying that it was fine. None was needed. I have the manager recorded admitting to firing the employee who performed to work on my car. Because of another mistake that the same person had made. I would like vavoline to take responsibility and pay for the damages that they caused to my vehicle.Review fromJoe D

1 starI AM BEGGING TO AVOID VALVOLINE AT ALL COSTS!!!After an oil change at ********* South End, at ******************************** my car broke down on the highway shortly after and the engine started smoking. I then tried to handle this issue through the company, and it has so far been unsuccessful. After my car broke down, I had to both pay to get my car towed home and pay for a mechanic to come to find the issue. Once the mechanic was done looking at the car he asked if I recently had an oil change, which I did at the Valvoline above. He told me whoever changed it emptied the oil but never put any back in, and as a result, the engine seized, and it would cost more to fix than the vehicle was worth. Then he explained how this was the only possible cause considering there was no oil underneath the car, zero oil on the dipstick, the plug was still installed and functioning properly, and finally, there was no burnt oil or residue whatsoever on the exhaust pipe. He said hes seen this multiple times as many of the kids that work at these quick oil change facilities are inexperienced and easily distracted. I contacted Valvoline, and after multiple emails and phone calls they said they are not going to pay for the damage. They said they would need proof that they were to blame, so I promptly gave them both the pictures and recordings from the mechanic. Then after I provided the proof that they were to blame, which they requested, they immediately changed the reasoning behind not paying. They were not going to pay because their employees are trained to show the customer the dip stick level before they leave. As a result, I had to have my lawyer reach out to them, and funny enough, they will not even respond to his letters. He has mailed letters to both their legal department and the branch I went to itself with no response, so it looks like I am inevitably going to have to take them to court for a cost that is 100% their fault. There is more but it wouldn't fit.
