      If I could rate Humana minus zero stars, I would. Worst insurance company ever. They are inept, inaccurate, and apparently don't read and follow up with my written information, of which I have sent tomes to them over the last few months. Simply trying to finalize and close out a dear family member's insurance matters. Humana makes it nearly impossible. I would never recommend this company to anyone. By reading other reviews, I see that I'm not the only one that gives a major thumb's down to Humana.

      Upon review of this request, we found that claim number 820230310481693 for services rendered on June 05, 2022, denied in error because the hospice start date, June 05, 2022, was the same as the claim date. On January 04, 2024, claim number 820230310481693 for services rendered on June 05, 2022, was sent to be reprocessed for payment. Unfortunately, at the time the response was due the claim was still processing. We will respond on or before January 12, 2024, with a status of claim number 820230310481693.

      Worst supplemental insurance out there. Constantly putting my life saving meds on hold leaving me unable to breathe well and with low pulse ox. Breathing is a necessity for humans to live but Humana doesn't seem to take this into consideration at all. I've had COPD med coverage through Humana for 8 months. Had a refill left on my Trilogy Humana has been paying for but they suddenly decided it needs pre authorization. Apparently Humana members need permission from Humana in order to breathe. It's criminal and outlandish that Humana will go through any channels to deny coverage to me , a senior citizen, even if it's something they supposedly cover. They've done the same thing to me with my blood pressure medicines. I run out of my life-saving blood pressure medicines and Humana claims it's too early to be filled which is not true. So I have to sit for 5 or 6 days and wait for their permission to receive my blood pressure medicine again all while putting me in the stroke zone. Humana is an atrocious entity. I feel they are making a lot of money by poaching and enticing Medicare recipients away from the good coverage Medicare provides so they can poach that Medicare deduction from social security recipients. The biggest mistake I've ever made in my life was signing up with Humana because it seems they're trying to kill me.

      Your Trelegy was paying for most of your plan year; however, in December it denied due to duplication of therapy. This is a clinical error and would require authorization through Humana’s Clinical Pharmacy Review (HCPR) Team to override. The error was caused in December due to you filling Spiriva for the first time on December 04, 2023.
      In regard to your Losartan, it did reject for the refill too soon error on September 13, 2023. The rejection was appropriate as you received a ninety-day supply on July 11, 2023. On October 10, 2023, the claim for Losartan was submitted by Walgreens and was paid by Humana but then was submitted by a different pharmacy, Express RX of Webb City, on October 12, 2023. It was rejected on October 12, 2023, for being refilled too soon due to the paid claim at Walgreens. On October 21, 2023, Walgreens reversed their paid Losartan claim from October 10, 2023.

      Humana claims to have not received mulitiple requests from my eye doctor for a specialty lens since Oct 26, 2023 until now it's too late. They also refuse to honor security set up to protect my account from a scammer and I was locked out 3 times in one week this month alone. Never again.

      I love my docs but next year BETTER be better. Stop outsourcing to places where English is 2nd or 3rd language. And get the heck RID of Centerwell PHARMACY!. STILL waiting for anitbiotic weeks from that outfit!!!! I didn't have the money to get it from walgreens.
      Most medicare recipients on SS are not making what they used to so copay after copay is getting harder so I put off going to see my specialists. ITs a drag, need surgery, shots. UGH

      DONT SIGN UP WITH HUMANA! By far the worst heath insurance ever! I've been working on getting a bill paid since 8/21! Today is 12/15 and bill still not paid! They stated they need a referral. The referral has been Stent to them a total of 4-5 times, one of those my wife faxed! The bill is $604.00! And it looks like I'm going to have to pay it out of my pocket to keep me out of collection! I have very strong credit and refuse to have a collection on my credit report! I HOPE SOMEONE WILL READ THIS BEFORE SIGHING UP FOR HUMANA! IVE NEVER IN MY LIFE DEALT WITH ANY GSRBAGE LIJE THIS!

      Outreach was made to the Humana Clinical Intake Team, and there is no approved HMO exception request on file for you. An outbound call was made on December 20, 2023, to the provider’s office for the referral request along with the billable codes and date of service being requested. A voicemail was left advising the provider to contact the provider line along with reference number. The provider will need to submit a request for an HMO exception because Dr. Kim Gauntt is a non-participating provider with your plan.

      I wish there was a minus star rating. I have, and will continue to steer people away from this unconscionable organization. They treated me horribly at a most grevious time. Sent me down blind alleys, expected me to intreprer medical lingo twice removed from normal human discourse. Sent me chasing rainbows that didnt exist and when I finally got what they requested, it wasnt necessary. Anything to put off transfer of funds to close the account. It took over a year.Recently Cigna has backed out of absorbing Humana. Go figure. Theres a reason. HUMANA SUCKS! I live in Mazatlan Mexico. The main medical insurance complany here is Lakeside..They refuse to work with Humana!!!

      Humana is the worst!! Stay clear of them. They are a bunch of crooks. I don't know what monkeys are training their representatives but they need to get a better system. So glad I'm changing to United Healthcare. I've heard a lot of good things about them. Not surprised to see that Humana only has one and a half Stars. I think there's score should be zero Stars.

      They really stink! Give you a constant runaround. And this is not Medicare it is employee based insurance. It's a constant battle. I would not recommend this insurance company. Their costs are high and they do not cover very good at all even when the doctor is in network

      I sought 2 dentist this year the first wasn't interested in helping me they just wanted to sell me dentures.Humana paid for the xrays, 10 months later I sought another in network dentist, I still had about 850.00 in my dental account.This new dentist performed xray a procedure called full mouth evaluation and service called Prophylaxis, they only paid for that, the chespest.I can understand not paying for xrays since I already had that done in February, but something as important as full mouth evaluation wasn't covered and it was the most expensive close to 200.00 they refused the most important thing of all. So um going to pay this but am going to spread the word to stay away from Humana, Ridiculous!

      Deceptive. Went thru every single health code on doctors order and the rep tells me everything is covered. I even had to upgrade to pay more. So I was paying for an upgrade and then was lied to that all my procedures where 100 Percy covered. I got my bill month later and nothing was covered. They won’t believe I needed the procedure and said we won’t cover it. Ok then why did you lie to me? I went thru all that for nothing .
