1 starI had ************ Insurance, and switched to Humana Centerwell cuz it was cheaper. I AM SO SORRY I DID!!! They are unbelievable!! Send tons of letters, saying my prescriptions that I need are not covered by them. I've been on these prescriptions for a couple of years for my pulmonary hypertension, and they are going above my pulmonogist and saying I don't need them.

1 starHumana insurance lied to me told me I was insured and sent a card that was absolutely fraudulent. I almost got arrested for trying to use that fraudulent card. When I try to talk to anyone at Humana all I get is lies.

THE worst diabetic care I have EVER had! Been injecting insulin since Nixon was president, and have NEVER encountered an insurer who cared LESS about my ability to test and control my glucose. I face losing my eyesight and my right leg, if I do not stay in complete control, yet Humana wants to play games and waste time, while blaming my doctors for THEIR failures! Calling customer service is pointless, as they don't listen, and they make many false claims.
My doctor wrote 5 prescriptions on December, as of Jan 19th I have yet to receive ANY of them! I have been on the phone with this outfit for over an hour a day, the last 3 weeks!
It's pointless!
I need to find a better insurer, because Humana and "Centerwell" just don't CARE about the people...Review fromJeff P

As a medical professional for over 40 years, I feel that Humana Medicare leaves much to be desired. Employees and managers are not well trained and communications are awkward at best, inefficient and poorly timed. Administration of Humana’s medicare plans is complex and programs are often ineffective as a result. Communications are not always relevant or robust, and feedback solicited from members seems to be largely ignored. This seemingly unprofessional approach to healthcare administration lacks severely in customer service to its members as demonstrated in many published public reviews.

1 starHumana is now saying I have to pay a $35 copay to my primary care doctor! I have had several billing issues with Humana in the past. It is going to be the last. I wish I had taken time to change my medicare medical in December. Now I am stuck. Another incident 2 years ago when they stopped covering a Coumadin Clinic I was going to. 2 starsThey deny a lot. My husband was in need of dental work. Had a medical doctor's note for work to be done because his teeth were causing medical issues such as infection and his teeth were breaking, cracking and chipping off. His Humana plan was suppose to cover up to $1,000/year. When it came time for them to remove his teeth so he could get dentures we found out they will only cover 2 extractions per year. Pulling teeth is one of the least costly things in dentistry. It makes no sense they wouldn't cover this and that stipulation is there. This is a way of them not providing or covering dental work. Should be illegal to deny work when there is a $1,000 coverage plan.Review fromRonald F

I would not recommend anyone use Humana they are liars and fraudster. I switched to them last October and they told me my primary care provider was in network. 11 days into 2023 when my plan took effect I could still not use my plan cause they could not decide if my doctor was in network or not. I then switched back to my old plan and Humana said that I could not switch until I applied for written authorization to switch. Said this was required by Medicare. I actually called Medicare and they said that was not a requirement. They are a bullshit companyHumana, Inc.

1 starPromised me a flex health card...sent it...refuse to activate it...said I didn't have a card..while I'm sitting here holding it...going elsewhere
