I have to leave one star. If I could make my choice it would be -5
I need to fill a specialty medication, (somavert) on a monthly bases. The website says one thing and the computer system on their end says another. The website shows two entries for the same medication,. Somavert one with no refills and one with 5 refill and every time I try to order the medication they say they need to contact the doctor, dah get it right! But yet when they investigate, they see that there is an active refill available. Dah!
Every month is the same thing, you don not have any refills available, oh yes you do I see another one here.
Oh, sorry it is not in stock or it is on back order, you will have to wait.

I needed surgery on L5&S1 annular tear. But got denied cause claim isn't necessary. My left leg is numb and already fell because of the numbness in the left leg. Suppose to be in constant pain and that what Humana Insurance say it's okay to be in pain all the time. Humana Insurance isn't any good anymore.

They lied about my coverage in order to get me to drop my current insurance and take their insurance. They claimed to be a HMO and they’re a PPO. Worst insurance provider ever.
They told me my dental insurance would pay all procedures up to 5,000 $ and denies every cost.
I’m getting bills by the thousands of dollars.
I almost died from sickness and was rushed to the ER. Two days in the hospital. They denied my claim and said I wasn’t sick enough to be in the hospital. I had even fell over from sickness and fractured my back and they won’t pay. This company needs to be sued and shut down for fraud.

I had an agent to talk to Humana regarding coverage. She explained to them that I had Asthma, which was controlled, and, on my medication, list is Dupixent. The underwriting Department told the Agent that they could cover me and submit the application. I received a letter in the mail that said I was denied because I was an underwriting risk and not a clinical viewpoint - which told me nothing. I called today (August 16, 2024) at 3:30 pm and the underwriter said I was denied because I have been taking Dupixent for a year and that is one of the medications in their manual that they can use to deny me. She also stated that Humana can also demy for pre-existing conditions. I believe that once they looked at my demographics (race- black) they denied the application. I would never use that insurance; however, I plan to post everywhere I can to let people know how racists this company is and also file this formal complaint with BBB.

I’ve been through hell and back trying to get a simple dental cleaning from my DHMO with Humana. Avoid at all costs. I’d rather pay out of pocket; at least I’d get the simple services I pay for at that point.
My stress levels spiked and I’ve lost years off my life in circular phone calls with this godforsaken company.
I hope they crash and burn so hard that they never return to harm another patient’s mental health and steal their money ever again.
      What a nightmare.
      Awful.
If I could give negative stars, I would.

Humana's Healthy Benefits TV ad is misleading. It states they load a prepaid card with funds. They claim your funds roll over. This is a lie. As of January 2024, they no longer load your money, on a card. Before 2024 they did. They also claim they roll over your money. This is a lie.
Your funds are given, once every 3 months. At the end of three months, they empty your account and reload it, with whatever you're getting. Used to be able to go th your favorite store and purchase your allowed items. Not anymore. Now you have a 800 number, you have to call and if they feel its within your plan, then they will approve it. But then you have to have it shipped to you.
I was eligible for the healthy benefits card but no longer use it because of the new policies. They need to change or remove the ad because it is no longer true.

They have been good so far, I don't understand that you can use benefit card to pay copays and utilities but cannot use it to pay for prescription glasses, makes no sense, this and like gasoline is essential, I had 500.00 allowed for eye appointment, but it still ended up over 180.00 for glasses, needless to say, I could not get my glasses, the guy said it was ridiculous as well, so wasted appt, I like Humana but you have issues
