I purchased a stove from Lowe’s for $815.68 on June 24 2024. I have had 3 issues with my stove. First, one of my burners would only go on high. (If you put it on low, heat would be high) Second, after using the oven, it wouldn’t cool off. Three, while trying to use the air fryer, the fan wouldn’t work. I requested a new stove because of all the issues with a brand new stove. The oven not cooling down is a safety issue. I would turn off the breaker after each use and turn it on when I wanted to use the stove. This is not acceptable. I called each time, waiting for a technician to come. The first time, he was able to fix it. The second and third time, it didn’t happen while he was here. GE said it seems to be an intermittent problem. They refuse to replace my stove. On my second call, they offered to sell me a discounted stove ($600). I would lose my $815.68 and dish out another $600! It’s very frustrating and I asked them what would make them replace my stove.. injury from the stove, a fire? They replied, “those are your words, not ours.” Please help me and other consumers who are faced with the same issue.Business Response

On April 17 2025 I bought a new GE refrigerator through Home Depot. The delivery person told me I should remove the transparent shrink wrap, and started a piece of it on one exterior side.
I could only get a bit of it off. At first I thought it was my arthritic hands, but lo and behold, no one can get it off. I appealed to GE. After two complaints online, they did respond and sent me a list of things to try, soap and water, using a credit card, among others. I have tried them all. Today a younger friend visited, without arthritic hands. She failed as well. I decided at least to wash the interior bins, but noticed a lot of scratches (when I haven’t touched them and live alone. Guess what? There’s shrink wrap on them, too!
So I have an expensive brand new refrigerator that looks beat up right from the start. I’ve spent hours on this, and can ill afford the time.Business Response

On 5/28/25 I ordered a part for my washing machine around 4 pm est I asked for the $19.99 one day shipping so I can get the part the next day to be able to start doing laundry again. No where either on the website or with the person I spoke with to order did it say that it must be ordered before a certain time for one day 24 hour shipping. I have been told that 24 hour shipping is now apparently 48 hour shipping as it will not arrive until the 30th I have called multiple times and asked them for a refund of the shipping as 24 hours should be 24 hours not 48. Had I wanted 48 I would have paid the few dollars less for the 2-3 day shipping.Business Response

I purchased a GE Cafe cooktop March 2025 directly from GE. It leaked gas from day one. GE certified tech has placed 2 gas valves on and I continue to smell gas. They are not concerned that this is dangerous and that I haven’t been able to use my cooktop. Customer relations want tech to come out for a third time to put in another valve! When does this end. Tech states it is unrepairable. I have four GE appliances in my kitchen. I will NEVER buy or recommend them again! I should have purchased from a box store and not directly from GE! We bought a fridge at the end of Nov. It was delivered at the end of Dec. The bottom shelf has frozen food and the ice maker/water dispenser has never worked since new. We have had 9 visits from appliance repair companies over the past nine months and it still does not work. Their customer relations department are not willing to do anything other than schedule another appointment. That is nine times my wife or I have taken off of work to wait for the repair company.
These are the only dates I can find record of. There are more than this , I have just lost track.

Bought washing machine June of 2024 on may 11 th 2025 washer quit working. Scheduled appointment for repair May 12th waited all day no call no show. Called GE they called the repair co that didn’t show and told me to call them and talk to them . I called the repairman said I’ll call you back ant 4:00 to schedule you and he never called and would not answer my calls, I call GE back on the 14 th they try to call the repair co and they don’t answer them either. GE sends it to locate to find another repair company, appointment set for Monday the 19th between 8am to 5pm, another no call no show, called GE on the 20th they said that they will try to call the company to reschedule they couldn’t get through to them so they send it back to locate again. but reassure me this will be the last time they send it to locate and to call back on Tuesday the 27th to either replace or reimburse me for the machine. So I call on the 27th and get told that sorry it has to be sent to locate again and that he would call me on the 28 th with an update no one called. Each phone call has been 1-2 hrs long the laundry mat is 80 mile round trip for me. This is ridiculousBusiness Response

Good afternoon,
I am writing because I have been dealing with this issue for a year, and the insurance coverage is about to expire in 9/16/25.
I bought a wall air conditioner unit at Grand Appliances, in Oak Park, in June 2023 and it was not cooling. So they replaced the unit three times and none of them was cooling, they were just functioning as a fan. When the delivery guys delivered the unit they told me that GE was having many issues with their AC and refrigerators and they were not cooling.
This unit was delivered in June 2024 but it was not cooling. When I called Grand Appliances they told me that I had to contact GE directly and I did. They transferred my call to their support people: Innovations Zoneline, and two agents were dealing with it with two different case numbers, Tanya and Nathan.
Tanya requested that I sent them a picture of the serial number sticker, a photo of the cord cut and apart from the appliance and the invoice. I did, but according to them that was not the serial number sticker. When finally I got some friends to take the AC from the wall - after the winter in Chicago- we noticed that there wasn't any sticker. Then I recalled the delivery guys saying that something was missing and that I might have difficulty when returning it. When I inquired about it they told me not to worry because that one would work. But it didn't.
They claim that without the SN sticker they cannot do anything, but it wasn't delivered with any. Today when I called them, the first GE customer support agent told me that it happens sometimes, that the businesses sometimes keep the stickers as proof.
The fact is that I spent $902.80 on a wall AC that never worked, that it has the cord cut and they claim that the insurance wouldn't cover it. Could you please help me solve this issue? Thanks so much for your attention.Business Response

Nightmare Experience w/ GE Fridge
I purchased the GNE27JYMFS fridge in December, and it’s been a disaster from day one. Within weeks, several serious problems emerged.
First, it started vibrating & making noises. Then everything began freezing. At one point, the internal temperature hit 20°F. Soon after, the shelves started coming loose. I found out the entire shelving system relies on a single plastic bracket. That bracket failed & the screw wouldn’t stay in. The tech said it was unfixable. The structural design is so poor, the fridge is basically falling apart—within 6 months of purchase.
Dealing w/ Customer Service was even worse. Every call meant starting from scratch—no way to speak to the same person twice. I was told the unit would be replaced under warranty. I made it clear I didn’t want the same flawed model. They offered 2 alternatives, both with in-door water dispensers I had explicitly said I didn’t want.
I followed up by email the next day. Six days passed with no reply. When they finally responded, they ignored my latest email & suggested a more expensive model at additional cost. I declined. Then I was warned my case would be put on hold if I didn’t respond in 48 hours despite their own delay.
When I called again, the rep had no record of the buyback request I’d been promised. She confirmed there were no options besides the same defective model. She submitted a new request, but it was denied. I asked for a supervisor. All the supervisor could do was offer the same flawed model—or let me pay more for another. When I asked about an extended warranty, I was told no. GE’s “solution” is more of the same. In other words, if this defective unit fails again, I’m stuck with it.
This is unacceptable. The product is poorly designed & failed miserably within just 5 months. Replacing a broken unit with the same defective model offers no real solution & shows a complete disregard for customers. All I want from GE is a full REFUND for this lemon of a fridge.Business Response

I was given a brand new $500+ ice maker for a birthday gift in October. It has constantly given us problems
