IRobot has been the worst investment I have ever made in a household items. I have had to interact at least 6 times. One time the company tried to stall long enough to void my warranty. I even paid for the extended warranty and needed service and they denied I had a warranty. I now have a major connection issue and they are not responding at all. This company does not stand behind its product.

Bad experience spending money to buy roomba. Bought i4 roomba brand new and within a year got a complaint. Within warranty period got a refurbished replacement as other one cannot be repaired. Close to two years again ******* saying battery not detectable. Bought new battery of irobot brand from ******* and sane issue. Customer support wanted me to purchase battery from their site and they do not have a guarantee if that fix my problem or not. Why to spend more money on this company products when it is not durable and making faulty parts.

I owned a shark previously and it worked pretty good. It wasnt a fancy one but it did its job. After several years, it finally died. I decided I wanted to get the robot mop (I have a husky and muddy paw prints are a huge problem 3 out of the 4 seasons) and wanted to get a vacuum that talked with the mop so I switched to iRobot. I started with the i3 which did its job but after 7 months (literally the day after I put in replacement parts that were not iRobot) I smelt something burning and the brush melted to the metal part that it rests on. I do not believe it happened because of off brand replacement parts, but I knew they wouldnt cover it so I decided I needed a new one. I thought long and hard about which device I was going to purchase this time. I was debating between the i5 self emptying and the j7 not self emptying. I have a 19 year old dog who has incontinence issues occasionally (esp when Im at work) so I decided I would go with the j7 as its guaranteed not to run over pet waste. I bought the vacuum at **** on 3/24. Came home today to find it covered in pet waste. Called the company and sent in pictures of the device covered in ****, my floors covered and my digital copy of my receipt. I was first told my receipt wasnt valid because it didnt have a shipping address (I bought it in the store) when I finally argued that point enough, I then got the excuse that it did not say **** club receipt on the digital receipt. Its clearly printed at the top of the receipt. After arguing for over an hour and requesting multiple supervisors, hanging up and calling back to get a different agent, they finally agreed to accept my receipt and will send me a new one. I have never had a company that made things this difficult or one that refuses to honor a digital receipt. When this machine dies and I need to replace it, it will 100% not be an iRobot product

The robot has never worked correctly in the year Ive owned it. When I contact tech support, ** told to unplug the robot, etc., as detailed in many other reviews. When they create a ticket, I am never contacted, and they just close the ticket. I would advise everyone to avoid this product without exception.

*********************.Our robot vacuum didnt work properly almost from day one. My husband contacted customer service and they suggested ridiculous fixes like try unplugging it and rebooting it. We are both programmers - as if we hadnt already tried that. Keep in mind when you contact customer service, they dont provide ongoing customer service. After seven days they close your file. When you call again, they open a new file. So, essentially if you work full time and have a life, they will keep closing your case rather than ACTUALLY FIXING THE PROBLEM. Long story short, they conveniently dragged out not fixing our vacuum until the warranty was over and now they will do - guess what? The same thing they have done all along - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.This vacuum has been expensive garbage that didnt work properly from the beginning. What a shameful way to run a company. Buy another brand. Dont waste your time and money with these people.

Bought one of the higher end vacuums they had broke right outside warranty. Company offered no solutions to the fact that there vacuum might have run 52 times total. Offered to pay to have it fixed they told me ************* and buy a new one. I recommend people dont buy from them.

Bottom line, this very expensive machine has a very short lifespan. Went through two machines in a year. The first one only lasted 5 months. They finally replaced it after making me jump through a lo of hoops including making me send them a video showing them that I was actually plugging it in and plugging a light into the same outlet to prove my outlet in my newly built home actually worked ( really!!). The second one only lasted around 6 months. By this time they would no longer warranty it but they would repair it for $125.00. Still thinking about whether or not I want to do that or not. I looked up on line what the lifecycle I could expect and it stated two years at the most. Between the cost of replacing the brushes and filters you are looking at $1000.00 + a year. That is just to expensive for something this unreliable.

I'm giving it. 2 stars is because it works as designed fresh out of the box. Everything after just cross your fingers the worst is that corporate automaker service could give 2 ***** about lying and saying false promises. They give the appearance of "good service" by assigning one person to maintain communications, but the design is built with straws. I am now unable to use my (expensive) machine because the company has changed the contract and if I do not agree with the 13 -page 4 font type legal document,I cannot use my $500 machine just 2 years later. Had to buy a manual vacuum to clean both my new and old apartments. The machine ONE JOB, to clean my floors!! What kind of "agreement" is needed to work a floor-cleaning machine?! #CorporateCommunism

Products that don't last a year and even worse customer service. I have a self emptying vacuum that stopped emptying well within my year warranty. I have gone and back with support, sent our my unit for repairs, got a new vacuum not a tower and I still cannot get it to work again. Support stopped answering my emails so now I'm basically stuck with a product that doesn't work at all.
