I received a Roomba S9+ for Christmas 12/6/2020. It has been a constant disappointment. Noting that there is only a 1-year warranty for a machine that cost over $900. I have been having regular issues (over the course of 2 years) with what they identify as Error 31 which requires constant rebooting. I called customer service several times and they had been able to coach me through the reboot process repeatedly. I recently contacted them again 8/16/23. We tried to reboot again with their online video assistance but no go. Ultimately, I was told this model has an irreparable error and they cannot help me. They offered me $100 toward the purchase of a new machine. Totally not worth it as I would have hundreds more out of pocket to purchase a different model that MIGHT work. They were well aware of the issues with this model and in fact their representative indicated this has been known for over a year. They should be forced to recall this model and replace with something comparable that will work. I spoke with a supervisor as well and got the same pitch. I would NEVER recommend anyone purchase from this company. They may have been in business for 33 years but they certainly don't have a good customer focus or stand behind their products.

"?? Just had the WORST customer service encounter ever! Bought an iRobot vacuum in Aug 2022, it conked out after a few months. Reached out to support, and they refused a replacement, only repair. Fine, I shipped it back because I'm no tech whiz. But guess what? ?? Machine's back sans battery! Now they expect me to DIY install it? Seriously? The original purchase was battery-ready. What's up with this lame customer support? ?? #FrustratedCustomer #*******************************"

I purchased both the Roomba J8 and the M6 brava jet about nine months ago. I had quite a bit of fun with it and spent several days trying to get them to learn my Maps in my house.Recently, the company upgraded the app for security purposes. But what it did was it completely did away with the Maps for my house. It has been a very frustrating matter.I understand that maybe there are a few dishonest people that take their vacuum to go vacuum other homes, and may be a robot was trying to curb it. However, they did not take in consideration, all of the honest people who use their vacuums for just their homes. I feel like I was penalized just because the company wants to make sure that people are not sharing their vacuums.I am deeply frustrated and feel like the company should apologize and make reparation.

DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! They are selling the braava jet mop knowing that it has internal malware issues and they will not replace the item. I havent even owned mine for two years and yet its completely useless. After speaking with the customer service reps they inform me that they are aware that some mops were defective and caught some sort of bug but unfortunately there was nothing they could do.

I purchased a new roomba on Amazon and it arrived with a defective battery. I could iRobot costumer service and they asked me to send them some documents. I sent them the following business day and did not receive a response. I then called again and they informed me they will not honor their product warranty because Amazon sold me the product from a third party vendor. Despite the fact I didn't know this was a third party vendor, and that the product was brand new (still sealed in original packing) iRobot told me they will do nothing to replace their defective product.Thier customer service is not helpful and their policies are not ethical.

I purchased my Roomba about 2 years ago. No where on the website or Amazon page does it say the robot will not work with 5G internet.Well, I recently upgraded my Internet and lo and behold the robot will no longer connect to the app. This means that I cannot change the vacuum schedule, it will no longer do the linked clean with the mop, and i no longer get the trouble shooting steps. I reached out to Irobot and they said the only option is for me to downgrade my internet?? Considering this vacuum cost well over $500 I expected more from support. An exchange, return, or refund all would have been better options.

I purchased a Roomba S9 combo (vacuum/mop). For the first year the robot functioned rather well. After approximately 16 months, we began having charging issues. It took me some time to sort out why my robot was not charging/charging intermittently. I learned the base station can sometimes have issues with one of the charging contacts sinking into the base station and discovered the left contact on my base was sunken. After one year the product is no longer under warranty. I contacted customer support and their first offer was 35% off the $250 base station. The second offer was 50% off. Given the price point of this combo (approximately $1,400 at the time I purchased it) I'd expect the product to last far longer than 16 months. This is supposed to be the industry standard for automated cleaning products. They charge a premium price and my experience has not reflected a premium product.
