On Tuesday 9/5/23 I went to my local Santander bank branch to make a deposit at the **** I attempted to deposit ************************************************************************************ my balance. I informed the workers at the bank and they did not attempt to help so then I called the customer service number and opened up claim #********** but no resolution has been reached thus far. I am in desperate need of the funds and would like for my account to be credited the deposit of my hard earned money immediately. The bank can verify the cameras and also open up the *** to confirm my deposit of the funds. Thanks for your help.Customer Answer

this company is incompetent and fraudulent. They sold my debt and changed the date of the debt so that it would reflect a more current date so that the debt would remain on my credit report fraudulently more than 7 years. They refuse to inform me of the new creditor which is against my right to know the debt amount, and to verify if the debt is accurate. Steer clear of this company for financing.. I need an EMAIL from this bank saying my heloc has been closed with a zero balance for the closing of my house, we are selling it. I called the ***** department 2 weeks ago and have followed up with them 7 times. To this day, nothing has been emailed to me. i'm on hold for hours at a time and no one is helping. i called the local branch in *********** ** and they wont help as well. if not resolved today, next step will be hiring a lawyer to seek damages resulting in us not being able to sell our house at closing.Business Response

My bank branch processed a payment to my line of credit without my authorization. They have now closed the account and said that they sent this account to a creditor for $465.85. This is the amount the equals the monthly payment of my personal line of credit. If there was not enough money in my checking account to make this payment and automated payment should not have been processed and I should not be penalized for this.Customer Answer

I took out a loan with Santander in ******* in 2018 and two months later they repossessed my vehicle. Shortly after a lawsuit against Santander was done because of deceptive and predatory lending practices. The lawsuit was settled and they were required to forgive the remaining balance on certain loans. Santander will also request that the loans be removed from consumers credit reports.Santander has kept this on my credit and did not remove.Business Response

I was victimized by an **** scammer for $969 in July- Seller used the familiar "send a dummy blank envelope" to the same zip code as the buyer, and provide **** delivery confirmation which ONLY shows delivery in a certain zip code, no actual proof of delivery, no signature.Reported fraud to SANTANDER, filed chargeback as "merchandise not received". Received letter days later claiming "no evidence of unauthorized transaction, matter closed". Clearly agent filed it wrong. Called again, spoke with supervisor who assured me they would review the initial phone call and fix. Despite being assured by agent a call back would ONLY occur after 2pm, "*****" leaves a voicemail at 11 AM this morning, with the lie that "the agent filed it properly", and the "merchant proved the merchandise was delivered" (more horse manure). Having previously been through this same process with CITIBANK, I know the next step is filing a signed paper stating NO MERCHANDISE has been received, at which time the merchant does not respond, and the money is returned. SANTANDER seems to be an absolutely shady bank which does not have the backs of it's clients.Business Response

I took out a$ ***** loan and paid on it for 2 years and I decided to refinance my house and got equity out and I paid the loan off I overpaid the payoff they told me was $22000 and I paid$ ******** and they keep acting like they can't find the check or they have not cashed it but everyone knows they are holding out so they don't have to send money back that was over paid this is the 2nd check we have sent them and there is no penalty for early payoff so they are in breach of contractBusiness Response

Good morning, I am very upset with the service I received from Santander Bank. I received an offer for a personal loan and applied as I needed the extra funds at the moment. I have good credit and never have had a problem paying what I owe. Therefore, I was approved and the process began . I sent in all the necessary documents . We were at the final stage of the loan process sending in my drivers license and then bank information. i sent it in and got approved instantly. Within a day after license was received after being approved Santander then sends me a withdrawn letter for lack of sending in documents. This is not true. I feel this is discrimination against my age. I am very upset. would it have been different if I was younger. I had received the approval letter all they needed was my banking info to deposit money. Things changed after my license was received. i then proceeded to call customer service about this and the representative response was lack of sending in documents and loan was withdrawn. How would this even be possible if the bank requested my routing number !!! To Deposit money. As stated things changed when they received my drivers license. This is discrimination against my age! I asked the rep to speak to a supervisor she stated one would call me back within 24 hours to explain. i have yet to receive the call. For a bank that prides themselves in fair trading acts and customer satisfaction . They have failed. Would someone please help me come up with a resolution to this problem. I would like for my loan which was aporoved prior to the license to continue to be offered. the best part is it states I had 60 days to srnd documents. I did it within a day then I was withdrawn WHY? Thank you for reaching out and trying to help me with this I received a call from ******** an advocate a week ago that they are looking into this and will get back to me .
They have not gotten back to me . Would you kindly advise me as to what I should next.
I do not understand what the delay has been or what they have to look into.
I was approved for this loan and was sent closing documents. It wasn't until I sent my drivers license that they then sent a withdrawal letter.
Truthfully, this seem like an Age discrimination and I would like any help that you can provide me to resolve this matter!
