I was told I wouldn't owe anything for my Brokerage transfer out now fidelity is saying I owe more than 100 dollars for a margin call bc the amount transferred was more than what the Brokerage account was valued at now it's my responsibility but I called and made sure supposedly everything was going to go smoothly with this transfer but it seems they do this on purpose to try and deter clients from leaving crooks

Fidelity had a data breach in which a "third-party" was able to access my Social Security Number, Fidelity Account Number and my connected bank account number. I called **********************'s "hotline" where they read me, verbatim, the letter that they already sent me. In that letter, they failed to identify who the third-party was, how this happened and, specifically, what they were doing in the future to address this. I spoke with 3 different customer representatives, one being a supervisor. The supervisor told me repeatedly that he "can't comment on it" and I asked why I would do business with Fidelity in the future, since the are basically saying "trust me, it won't happen again." He said he can't comment. I asked if Fidelity even cared if they retained my business, he said " I can't make decisions for you." Fidelity is an example of a mismanaged, mega corporation that has yet to be held responsible for data breaches and there is no recourse. They don't care about you or your business.

I'd give Fidelity zero stars if I could. Here's the problem: money transferred to Fidelity takes an insane amount of time to become available. I'm talking weeks, not days. I made a transfer on Oct. 15; today is Nov. 2. My money is STILL not available. I transferred the money from the other account's website because Fidelity says doing the transfer that way, rather than from Fidelity's website, decreases the amount of time for the money to become available. Fidelity's reasoning is that the other account wouldn't let customers transfer money that's not in the account, which makes sense. But it makes no difference. My money is in limbo until Fidelity gets around to making it available, and that's not right.

I recently completed a rollover from my 401(k) plan to Fidelity Investments. While I was pleased that Fidelity received the federal check within three days, I was disappointed to learn that my funds would not be accessible for 16 days after receipt. This extended delay is surprising and does not align with my expectations for efficient fund availability. Consequently, I have decided to transfer my assets from Fidelity Investments to another institution that better aligns with my financial needs and timelines.

Retirement accounts were locked because I indicated I was going to transfer the assets to a new ** ****** account. They then decided that I was subject of a scam and will not let transfer my **** They froze every account and I have no access to any cash and I am unable to meet my basics needs and I dont want to beg and I dont want to. No matter who I talked to no explanations are provided. They dont care. I am just a number for them. I regret putting all my eggs in one basket, Fidelity. If I am able to recover my money I will work with multiple entities to be safe. Avoid Fidelity. They may be excellent until something happens. I always thought very highly of them until now. AVOID FIDELITY.

My wife and many of my family members have been long-term customers of **********************. They were extremely customer serving when they were trying to get my advisor service business.. although , when I decided to get my outside advisor services from a company well known as ****** investment s the level of customer service when I called was significantly marginal at best. In 2022 Fidelity reached out on a messenger asking for a W9 updated form. i'm a custodian for my daughters account and I supervised this account while she was in college, I managed this for her and I submitted the W9 form on two occasions.I even confirmed that the W9 form was in their message center by a phone call. Everything seem to be in order and we went on as business as usual.. My youngest daughter when she started her first job asked me for assistance with her *** account. She was trying to make a trade and unfortunately could not perform that function because Fidelity froze her account.. Neither myself or my estranged received a phone call, an email or a letter that there was a problem with her account.. My daughter called me for assistance and we got on a three-way call with Fidelity. After 90 minutes on a three-way call with Fidelity and my daughter we found out that the W9 form was actually there the entire time but they didn't attach it to her account.. My daughters account was frozen and not in the market for over two years. She lost several of thousand of dollars in investment gains. Why no one reached out that there was a problem is a hidden mystery ? I assume because we had their was no attention given because Fidelity was not earning any large commissions on such a small *** account and we do not use them for any of their advisory services. The customer service team needs serious training on why they exist? Several of the smart mouth representatives were not helpful, empathetic or even giving us a long time client of Fidelity the decency to address my concerns in a proper manner.

I've never had such a series of terrible experiences with a bank in my whole life. After losing a parent, I was trying to get access to their ***. I provided all documents after being kept on hold and transferred many times. Then I am told I need to get a check mailed to me for my money, they won't change it to a type of account that is up to date in their system(the account was not accessible via their typical system, go figure). They send me a check which they charge 5$ for. I put the check in another bank and try to wash my hands of this terrible company. Nope, while I was away on vacation, check bounces. I am now restricted from trading on my other platforms. Fidelity gives me a call, "oh by the way the check we sent out had an error sorry". Now I have to start the grueling process over again. Lovely.

I just found out that Fidelity is now holding received funds for 16 business days. They told me it was only until the funds are fully collected due to fraud prevention... This makes no sense, if my bank sends the money, Fidelity receives the money it should be available next day! 16 business days is 3 weeks plus... Ridiculous!!!
