On SeptOn September 9, 2024, my bank card was compromised, resulting in fraudulent charges totaling $125 on the online betting site DraftKings. My bank did not assist me with these charges and instructed me to contact DraftKings directly. Unfortunately, DraftKings lacks a phone number for direct communication; they only provide an email address. I have reached out via email multiple times, yet I have only received evasive responses. This situation is unacceptable, and I am seeking a resolution.Initial Complaint

I made a deposit into Draftkings from my cash app in the amount of $1264.67. I did this (and have done this for years) because I can't put money into my ****** account directly from cash app, so I use Draftkings as a third party. After trying to make 3 withdrawals (absolutely did not place a wager or attempt to withdrawal any winnings) I was granted one for $459 and then declined for the other 2. My account was immediately locked for suspicious withdrawals. Again, this money was not part of a wager or winning withdrawal, it was my paycheck. I was locked out and told to answer questions about my gambling habits, intentions, and personal accountability about betting on their site. I told them I needed my money for bills and was immediately treated like a problem gambler. I have all of the emails. I have every right to my money. My account has been locked for 5 days and they keep telling me my account can't be reviewed further until I answer their questions (which I've already answered 3 times) more clearly. They are unfairly withholding my personal money from me. This feels predatory and absolutely unlawful. I'm being treated like I have a problem and the only problem I have is them ignoring my repeated attempts to get my hard earned money THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH A WAGER AND/OR WINNINGS back.Customer Answer

Draftkings temporarily resolved the dispute, and allowed me to place bets. I lost two bets, a total of $200 +. No restrictions were placed on my account during my losses Thursday, June 19th. I won a bet today, June 21 2025 for $83 and tried to withdrawal my winnings, and suddenly my account is again under restrictions disallowing me to withdrawal. I believe this is in response and/or retaliation to my formal complaint with BBBInitial Complaint

March of this year around 7th or 8th I had won winnings from draftkings sportsbook. After months of using my cash app card to make deposits to the site I was told I couldn't get withdrawl to my card. I was told to get info from my bank to verify my account. I made numerous trips physically to my bank to get printed out info to send to draftkings. They even wanted me to get my bank account number to send them. After numerous attempts I was told my account is locked. Now for 3 months I was investigated. I was told on 06-09-25 my account will be reviewed again . I have multiple emails confirming my issue. They keep giving me the run around and after a exhausting time I told them I don't have any other info to give I live in a men's shelter and that statement triggered draftkings to suspend my account for 3 months. Now being told they have to investigate again. But my account is eligible for reinstatement and my withdrawl will be fixed. This has been a long and trying situation and unprofessional . I can't believe draftkings has rights to treat people any kind of way and it shouldn't be tolerated. The bank card they have on file is correct and was used to.make deposits also. I'm just trying to withdraw my $80 and I will close my account afterwards. I can't play with crooked platform like draftkings . They won't let me withdraw to my actual bank account which is the only card on file with draftkings.Initial Complaint

I deposited money ~500 dollars in my draft kings account from my debit card. immediately my account was restricted on draft kings and also on golden nugget where my balance is ~120 dollars. they said the transaction was suspicious so instead of blocking the transaction and preventing it from going through, they allowed it to go through then immediately restricted my account and requested a new SCID (self certified ID / selfie holding my license) and a bank statement showing the charge. I uploaded the documents to draft kings and then emailed golden nugget asking why my account is restricted on their casino too and why they are requesting me to upload a bank statement for that card because i never even deposited with it or used it at all on golden nugget - they told me i need to upload it because of their partnership with draft kings and i will be restricted on gn for as long as i am restricted on dk. this was not the case in the past, they have always blocked both in the past but resolved the issues seperately - ive been blocked on one while no longer blocked on the other. after that, draft kings sends me an email saying my account is now closed and is not eligible for reinstatement, the decision is permanent. they have not responded to any more of my emails or support request tickets that *** submitted - they stopped once i started asking to withdraw my remaining balance. golden nugget has been responding to my emails, but telling me that the decision was made because i edited the documents that i sent them - i did not. they will not answer any of my questions they keep replying with the same - because your account is banned, your funds can not be withdrawn. your account can not be reinstated and we can not assist you in obtaining your remaining balance. i have offered to go in person to get my money, every agent has ignored everything ive said and repeats what the other agent said. I've opted into DK's promotion and in the screen shot that I will post, it doesn't say anything about wagering 100 percent of the deposit into any sports betting. Instead, the promotion said wager through 100 percent of deposit to get a 30 percent of your deposit in bonus bets in which I was under the impression I had to wager my deposit through the casino 1 time because in the screen shot it doesn't state anything about wagering your whole deposit on a sports bet. Also this issue would have been resolved if the agents would have contacted me within 3-4 hours and explained to me what went wrong but instead took 8 plus hours to contact me back.Initial Complaint

Draftkings violated Maine state sports wagering laws specifically regarding advertising of promotions/bonuses. They offered an ongoing promotion via VIP host that is well documented to be recorded for 4+ months leading up to the week in question. The offer was a loss back % weekly which is standard for VIP customers in the sports wagering industry. Once the largest net loss week happened, they no longer applied the offer despite confirmation from VIP host that he would be reviewing and applying the offer.Customer Answer

I stopped using Draftkings aproximately 5 months ago after a few winnings were cancelled or erased after the wager was placed, also it is very difficult to get your winnings processed...So last week, I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owe Draftkings $300 . Which would be impossible, because you cannot bet without the money being in your account..I called emailed draftkings *** asked them 3 times to explain how this is possible, and all 3 times they said to contact the collection agency and pay. Big scam here. I thought someone was trying to phish me into getting my account info, but i went on the draftkings app and they told me to just pay. I used draftkings for a year or so and had a few glitches with payouts (always was paid) but also a few bets that were confirmed and magically were not in there after they won. Also, why are they contacting me 5 months after i stopped using them ? Something does not seem right with this, especially when you 100% absolutley cannot place a wager without the money in your account, it will say insufficient funds.Customer Answer
