    Toast is the worst delivery service ever. They allowed me to order pizza and charged me for it from a restaurant that wasnt open and we went to pick it up and the restaurant is closed and then when I called toast to get a refund they said there was nothing they can do and I just contact the restaurant which is closed. They took zero responsibility. This is not the first time they have botched up things from prolonged delivery times and incorrect orders but this is the worst.

    I became familiar with Toast when I started serving at a restaurant that had opened about three weeks prior. I took to the system immediately and was fortunate enough to be given greater permissions than what a server is generally given. I am in my 20's. Computer stuff is second nature to me. Toast, like any POS System is quite complicated and has a lot of moving parts, several of which are beyond Toasts control. To all owners and managers out there: talk your staff, especially that busboy that talks constantly about getting the new iPhone. I'm serious. Give him some permissions and open the office for him. Toast is designed to be self managed and user installed. And I believe they succeeded in that goal, but you do have to have some computer skills. Telephone support can't help you if you don't know what a Network Switch is, or where your modem is located. And it's ok if you don't know, but I can guarantee someone on your staff does. Cut that person loose, give them the access they need to succeed and then reward appropriately. Don't pay Toast to design and build your menu. Ask the servers. They use it everyday. They all know exactly how it should flow, the order modifiers should be in, and one of them definitely has the skills to make those changes in the backend.

    They have single handedly suffocated my business. Theyre merchant reeee are the highest Ive ever had. Their capital loan is a scam. Their customer service is atrocious. I would switch back to Square if i didnt have this ridiculous loan to pay back. Stay away from this provider theyre god awful.

    We use Toast *** for our POS at 4 locations (restaurants) and we have continually been charged for items on our invoice for services that we did not authorized to be add at all 4 locations. I call each month spending hours on the phone to remove services we do not want, but some how they keep showing up on invoices. My review today is in reference to one location our invoices went from being charged $105 per month last year to $473. per month as of Jan 1, 2023 without us requesting any additional services to be added to our account. I have called numberous times to request a refund, my request was declined twice. Toast ***. did removed the services for future bills but nothing was refunded from prior months. Totally unfair to be charged for products you don't request, or authorize.

    This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 54 years on this planet. I have 38 years in food and beverage. I currently own a small family restaurant. 1.5M a year. TOAST is terrible on all fronts. Terrible software that they update monthly to keep servers on their toes (stupid little changes: placement of a button or color of outline). **************** is terrible and know next to nothing. I have spent so much time on hold over the three years I have had to deal with them, I should be committed for continuing with them ( I am switching, and have been in limbo with Aloha for two years and that's the only reason I have put up with them for so long). The important thing if you are reading this, TOAST *****. Any POS can do what they can. Find one that will help you create your menu properly, not just remotely give you terrible assistance. Find one that wants to see you succeed, not just one that wants your credit card processing. Which is what TOAST is, a credit card processor that has remedial software and terrible service. ANYTHING is better. I promise you.

    Absolutely NO in-field customer support. Three weeks ago I spent four hours on the phone with two different people that both told me different things in regards to why our system was COMPLETELY down, literally had to hand write tickets & could only take cash payments. When I wasted for someone to physically come down & look at the issues because of the **** of wires everywhere (that they set up) they said it could be 30 days before someone came out. Yesterday one of their inept employees went into our menus & published a menu for a location we havent even opened yet which has NOTHING on the menu, which took the menu out at our other four locations (we have MLM). Our employees had to open food every item, service was slower because of it so we had longer waits & lost customers. The owner of our business spend over 5 hours on the phone trying to rebuild our menus that have been worked on for three years now. 19k changes with all of the ***************** & not one we will reimburse you for x, y or z & as we sit one of our menus is still being rebuilt. Total BS. Toast needs to hire about 300 more employees & get tech teams that know what they are doing instead of telling us we need to hire outside companies to clean up their startup mess. With the fees they charge, they can afford ******** obvious the higher *** are reaping the benefits of suffering restaurants because they charge you regardless of their errors. ZERO SUPPORT - stop selling to people if you cant keep up.

    Our restaurant whent out of business. We call to cancel the services. We got charged twice after we canceled. We have been trying to get our money back for 5 months now. They say the money should be in our account but there's some sinking issue. There were no issues when they took the money nor when they made the deposits from our sales. Do not recommend to any business owner.

    They keep overcharging me for a service that I have documentation saying I didnt want multiple times. They claimed to have removed it, but Im still being billed and charged for it. They have my business account number and take money automatically. Worst company in the world steer clear of this company!

    Sales people will lie to make a sale. The team assigned to implement your account is very unprofessional and will ignore your concerns and issues. I was told our interchange rate with toast would save us money, that was false. I was told we would have chargeback protection, that was false. I believe the salesperson may have even changed or deleted some signed documents without telling what they were. The implementation was a nightmare. I wasnt told everything involved with hardware setup, until the day we were suppose to go live. My concerns and notes about our menu implementation were just completely ignored. Wouldnt so bad if they didnt charge you a pretty large fee for implementation. In the end I was told even if I were to cancel, Id be stuck with their equipment that only works when you use toast. They would also charge a cancellation fee based on the contract, which Im not even sure what contract was signed because the sales person possibly made changes without my knowledge. Backend report is severely limited and I would not have signed up if the sales person had actually walked me through it. I would have though being able to view multiple days sales at once would be available. Let me be a warning and dont rush to sign, do your research and dont trust their sales team. Once signed they will ghost you and you wont be able to get in contact with anyone from that team.

    I never write reviews, but they leave me no choice! The customer service is absolutely horrible! All they do is hand you to the next person and one knows less than the other. I've been trying to resolve an issue for the last year and have spoken to 15 different people. They all work remote and never resolve anything. I wouldn't recommend Toast.
