    Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire career, bar none. I recommend that you do NOT use their email marketing tool. No one knows how to help you with it, and no one can explain the flat-out erroneous data that ensues three minutes after you send an email. Run away from this business! They will not reply to your customer service quips and then will send an email saying your case has been resolved even though no one ever contacted you. Their email tool and accompanying customer service are so bad, my manager and I have a running joke about Smurfs or the like being in charge over there since no one returns a phone call.

    Toast has decided to implement a $0.99 order processing fee to all of our online ordering customers. Toast retains 100% of this fee. It can't be removed or disabled.Here's why they claim the fee is necessary. "To support commission-free ordering for local restaurants, help keep technology costs low, and allow us to invest in new digital ordering features designed to help restaurants increase sales, save money, and turn first-time guests into regulars....Some of the improved features include the ability to customize your Online Ordering site to reflect your brand, commission-free ordering through Order with ****** to reach new guests, and up to $3K in annual chargeback protection (up to $250/month) on Toast Online Ordering Channels to help protect your bottom line"This does NOT help us in anyway. In fact, it makes our customers angry and makes us look like thieves. They will make thousands of dollars off our customers.To make matters worse, they've decided that it's a sales category for us. A revenue center. When I called to ask how to move it our of sales since it generates no revenue for us, I was told it can't be moved.Ridiculous.People that run this company do not care about their customers.

    POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. Toast **** may have a good platform, but their **************** is wholly unacceptable. In Jan 2022, we closed our business due to a partner's health issues. We sold the system to another restauranteur. Toast personnel handling the transfer failed to follow thru with the paperwork indicating new ownership of the system. In December 2022, Toast erroneously withdrew $500 from our bank account for licensing fees. Since then, I have made at least fifteen phone calls to the **************** number to get our money back. I have been put on perma-hold, dropped from calls, and occasionally gotten through to someone who seems to help, but has yet to come through with any resolution. I was told that the payment was made, and even though I did not approve the closure of our case, Toast appeared to deem the matter closed. Buyer beware. Seven months later we have still not received reimbursement.

    Toast truly is an all-in-one platform. They have everything available to run a restaurant and you only pay for what you use. The initial cost is 1/3 of what I was paying with other POS companies. It's not the cheapest POS on the market but if you take advantage of their product suite, you'll end up making more money so totally worth it. Get Toast, it's the future

    DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNETHICAL!!!I guess I should have looked here before signing on with Toast. This company has the absolute worst customer service and zero communication. As you can see by other reviews, they are sneaky and bill you for things you don't use and won't even give you credit once you cancel. They even didn't bill me for service due to an error then billed 5 months all at once! I switched from Square and will be going back, especially since square has really improved since I left.

    What a joke. Its like a bunch of 9 year olds trying to run a company. The toast Pay card is a joke, stick with what we always have loved about the industry, CASH. Money taken out and not explained, and their payroll department isnt even open 24 hours, which they highly promote that if youre open, were open. Yeah right. I used to get paid in cash at the end of every shift, now that we have toast I HAVE TO USE THE PAY CARD which I still havent received, something thats holding on to my money that you depend on to get by. You would think that money would be made readily available to you with smart phones and living in a world where almost everything is virtual. Nope. Not these morons. You cant get your tips or your paycheck until you get the card and trying to talk to someone about it is impossible. They keep sending you to a different person who also has no clue and then right back to where you started. Im $100 in the negative because I dont have access to MY MONEY and it takes snail mail time to get the card in the mail. I pay all my bills on the same day and thats come and gone. I had planned on having that money in my account but nope, so I got charged over draft fees even though I have over a grand floating somewhere in the toast system. Is Toast gonna help out with that?! Probably not, theyll just tell me I need to talk to so and so and theyll send me to so and so and right back in the ridiculous cycle of incompetence. If you need help on how to enter your name in your profile online though, theyre experts in that, Id say some where on par with a 10 year old eve. Dont ever switch to this literal *POS* system

    The very very worst. Thru do not deliver what they promise. They can never fix anything. You get a different answer every time you call. There is no support whatsoever. They just take your money and leave you hanging.

    Switched from Square to Toast to better suite my bakery service needs. 100% disappointed. I am still being charged the extra processing fees nearly SIX MONTHS after cancelling the service. **************** is a useless hours filled waste of time. Answering services NEVER help with anything. Avoid TOAST like they will be the plague of your time and business.

    I was asked to solve a problem with my restaurant's Toast system. I resolved the issue and then looked at our invoices where i found that Toast was charging us for years for services that we never used. Namely a monthly charges for a Loyalty Program ($20), Online Ordering ($25), Gift Card Program ($25). They charged these things monthly for years. After repeatedly calling, and escalating my calls, and a sales person that refused to call back. i finally got in touch with senior management who apologized and offered a refund a several months (not the years we paid, but something. That was nice, but they didn't actually credit us. All they did was continue to charge us each month and credit back those new charges each month. What a s*1t show this company is.

    If I could leave negative 0 stars I would. I wish I would of read reviews of the company before I switched from Clover to Toast. AWFUL and DISHONEST company. Only trying to take money from you and they take months to approve one refund which is an absolute joke!!!!! I have had the worst experience with this company trying to take money from account. Connection would go down right when we would be busy and my servers hated the system. Even though they promise you that they are better than Clover...LIE!!!! They are the biggest headache ever and I wish I never signed on with them. Not enough free hardware would make me go back to using this awful company that only wants to steal your money.
