      I am receiving endless spam phone calls and texts from this company trying to provide insurance quotes that I did not request. The calls are excessive. I have blocked approximately 15 phone numbers at the time of this report.

      I have never contacted EverQuote and yet I have started to receive numerous unsolicited phone calls a day from them and now others (which, from other complaints and research and the timing I imagine is due to them sharing by phone number with other insurance providers). I don't even know how they received my information, but multiple phone calls a day is beyond obnoxious and unprofessional.

      Since today (2/26/2025), I have been receiving back to back spam calls, all from different numbers. I have never used this company, nor would I know how my phone number is in their database. I don't know how to stop the spam calls other than 1) my phone's capability to block spam calls (although they still come through and are silenced) and 2) ignoring the calls altogether. I want these repetitive calls to stop.

      This company is calling me 5-6 times (even more sometimes) a day and they are basically harassing me at this point. I never signed up for anything, I have told them to stop calling me, and they still keep calling me. They said they would put me on a do not call list, I am STILL getting the calls. I have even emailed their support line, went on their website to add my email to unsubscribe (even though I never subscribed, I thought MAYBE it would help), nothing has worked. This company needs to be stopped - this many calls DAILY is literally harassment.

      I recently purchased a new vehicle, and although I'm not fully sure how this company got my number, they did and they began to call me regarding insurance quotes; however, I had already found insurance. I informed their service *** of this... and for the next week I received ~15 calls per day from them.

      Car insurances in the state of ******* cannot base your ins on your age profession or on your credit so its not legal or ethical for them to ask these questions

      2/10/2025 ************ is engaging in excessive spam and harassment. I have blocked the number from calling and they continue to change phone numbers posing as different insurance agents. I've received 5 calls within an hour and they do not even have my name correct. It seems once they have your number you are on some sort of harassment list for at least a week; requesting removal of information takes 7 days to process according to their phone **** but in the meantime they will continue to call you every 20 minutes or so until you go crazy. Their objective is to collect information you give over the phone and sell it to other insurance companies. If you end up getting calls from them DO NOT give them any additional information as they will turn around and sell it IMMEDIATELY to other spam call centers. They sit on the edge of legality and in my opinion are some of the lowest and scummiest people around. If you are contacted by these people don't feel the need to be nice, they won't.

      On 1/31/25 I started receiving multiple phone calls, emails, and text messages for insurance quotes for a residence that I haven't lived in for several years and for vehicles that I have never owned. One of the insurance agents advised me they received my information through Everquote which is a resource they receive leads from. Someone submitted my information without my permission to this website and Everquote shared this UNVERIFIED information with multiple companies. They should not be allowed to share information unless they can verify it is that persons phone number or email address. I am now being overwhelmed by unsolicited phone calls, text messages, and emails because of their faulty system. What kind of a hack company shares information without first verifying that information by a 2-factor authentication?

      The business has advised they will add me to their do not call list, but what about all of the insurance agents who are not only calling me but also texting and emailing me.  How is this going to stop?  My personal information should NEVER have been sent to these companies without verifying ownership of my phone number and email address.  

      Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.
