Computershare Investor Center is the possibly the worst customer service center that has ever existed. These are assets that change in value daily and they have zero sense of urgency to help customers.Business Response

I would like to file a complaint against Computershare. On May 9, 2023 I called to sell all my shares of both Con ****** and AON. I ask him if I can sell my shares online, and he tells me no you can not, that the only way to sell your shares are to mail in a letter. That got me very upset because I called on May 9, on purpose, because my portfolio was over six hundred and forty thousand, which is on the high end, so I wanted to cash out on a high price. So on May 9, I mail in a letter and date it. So I call to follow up and your associate tells me you did not have to mail a letter you could of sold your Con ****** stocks online. That immedialty got me very upset and I asked to speak to manager. So the next day, I get a call from CSR manager ***************************. She tells me do not worry, I have no problem getting you a check for the difference you lost on your Con ****** shares due to our mistake. Today she calls me and tells me unfortunately upper management denied to pay you the difference you lost on your Con ****** stocks because on one of your calls after the main initial May 9 call, that the associate explain to me I could sell my Con ****** shares online. So I asked ******** on my main initial call on May 9 to sell all my shares, did your associate tell me I could sell my shares online, she said he did not and agreed with me. The gentleman again totally confused, tells me you can sell your shares online, but the limit is one hundred thousand per day, so I said perfect ********* my shares, then he says oh no sir Im sorry its only twenty five thousand per day. So at this point I have no clue what I am supposed to do to sell my shares, because everytime I call someone I get a different answer. But even if he was correct at twenty five thousand a day, that would of taken me close to sixteen days to cash out my total Con ****** shares, so that still would of caused my loss from May 9 till now. ******************* ***** Act # C0001411691Customer Answer

Unfortunately, everything ******************* is saying is far from the truth. My first call on May 9 was to sell all my shares, **** says I did not intend or specify to sell all my shares, so why did the same day 20 minutes later, I wrote a letter dated May 9 to Computer share to sell all my shares, and I specifically dated it for May 9, because I wanted that share price. There associate on May 9 even told me I cannot sell my shares online. No one on the original call or any call gave me the correct information, actually they gave me false information. On May 12, like I stated in my original email, I was told conflicting information once again. First, he tells me you can sell your shares online and its 100k per day, I said great let's sell all my shares online because they are still high in value. Then he says oh no sir its 25k per day, so at this point I'm more confused than ever. He was wrong again, but let's say he's right at 25k per day, it would have taken 16 days to cash out my entire portfolio with Con ** at 25k per day, so my value still would have been depleted. On May 18, I called again because I am in utter confusion with the call center at Computershare, telling me conflicting information every time I call. On May 18 no one gave me the option to sell my shares online, and if they did at this point, they were already extremely lower than May 9, so why would I sell at this point, it makes no sense. By the way for my AON shares I still have not been able to cash out my account since my letter from May 9, because of the utter confusion there call center creates. I am taking a hit on my AON shares as well. There call center was completely negligent and they need to pay me my shares value for Con ** for May 9. They have my letter from May 9, and let's all listen to the calls together and you will see who is speaking the truth. They are just trying to dodge paying out any money. So, let's get someone neutral to listen to the calls and examine my letter from May 9, and I promise you they will side with me.

After my mother passed in 2016 I filed forms and sent in two stock certificates to Computershare with a medallion seal. I received no response. They said they never got the certificates, I was remiss in not sending them certified mail. (They offer two ways to send; non-certified is cheaper). The options to have them reissued involved a bond premium and I have begun to suspect they look for people who send uncertified so they can then collect a bond premium. The process is onerous and I called many times to try to understand everything they needed for replacement certificates, (the stock was part of a merger *****>AMCOR) and then proof of my court administration for the estate. Finally with the help of a friend and many calls to Computershare I sent in the paperwork and it was received 4/18. I called several times in May to check and was told there were "no red flags" suggesting anything was missing. I was told they would stamp it "urgent" another time but still nothing suggesting a problem. On the 22nd of May I was told my application was "rejected". The medallion seal they required was not acceptable. It was generated by my broker at ********************* The seals are hard to come by now and Computershare apparently wants you to pay for a waiver for the stamp. My broker has mailed the document from their HQ and the Medallion Seal has a bar code that they could easily call and verify. Today I called their toll free number NINE TIMES with either a 20+ minute hold before the line disconnects or a poor connection which I have experience nearly every time I call. I called 4 times on a landline. Additionally, I go through a long automated section when I call that does not recognize either the account number or my mom's social security number. No way to bypass this. There is no way to circle back with the same representative. There is no email communication stating the progress or needed information. I rarely get through to a supervisor. Sincerely, I follow the computershares provide me the phone number to contact to the ******* department financial service the representative told me not received any check or money from the computershares mail to the florida state. I have Total: 20 shares and the information show escheated 5 shares escheated date: 04/18/2006 net amount $23.32/share and where are 15 shares?
Please, I would like to reclaim all Total: 20 Shares.I save my stock for many years for it's up high and I did log in to the account sometime every year. I don't know why computershares unclaim my property to ******* department of financial service. Soon I got notice. I contact to computershares and florida state immediately to regarding my property. untill now the issue not resolve.

My husband passed away in November 2022. I have been attempting to transfer his accounts to my name. Computershare sent me paperwork to make these transfers; one of the forms requires a medallion stamp, which my bank will provide. However, the bank requires a statement for each account showing my husband's name, number of shares, and value of the shares. I have requested statements for each of the 3 accounts. It has taken 3 months and repeated phone calls to finally receive two of the relevant statements. However, there is one remaining statement I have still not received, even after several more phone calls. I was assured it was mailed on March 27, 2023, again on April 14, 2023, then April 28, 2023, then May 1, 2023, and again on May 8, 2023. My mailing address has been confirmed correctly every time I called. My husband's name was *************; the account in question is for stocks held by Computershare for the company nrg, and the account number is ************. I need the statement so I can proceed with the transfer. I am the Executor of his estate. I have uploaded his Death Certificate, as well as the Letters Testamentary naming me as Executor.Business Response

Just writing to tell you about my experience with Computershare.I inherited 18 common shares of ****** stock from my deceased father. For approximately one year, I have been unsuccessfully trying to transfer this stock to my name. It's been a horror story. It has cost me lawyer, court and mailing fees all because of the ineptness of this company. They let sensitive court papers expire twice. I had to have my attorney reapply for them . They don't follow up; they never tell you, all at once, what is required to process the transfer. When I originally sent them all my paperwork; they required a check for $165.08, which I mailed them. Never heard from them for months. I finally called them to get an update. The representative said they needed additional papers; I was very upset and asked for a supervisor. The rep put me on hold, spoke to a supervisor and advised me if I send an additional $26.46 everything would be okay. I mailed the additional money to them the next day. Unfortunately, I didn't ask for the supervisor's name. Again, weeks went by; no word from them.I called again, asked for a supervisor and ********************* took my call. After going thru the entire scenario again, she said they needed another paper signed (which was in my original package), I was annoyed but I did it. She overnighted the paper to me and I returned it the following day; to her attention. She said it wasn't necessary to get it notarized but I did anyway. Weeks went by and I'm assuming the transfer is taking place. Finally, I called; spoke to ***** and she said oh, you mailed it; she asked me to hold on, she looked for my paper and found it. Then she said I needed something else. I blew my top and said, I'm not doing one more thing.Then I get a call a couple of days later from *********************; he said he understood my frustration but I had to get something else done. I told him I refuse to do anything else since everything was Computershares' fault.Business Response

In the beginning of April I sold some of my employer plan stock I have and requested a check to be mailed. While I was waiting on the check I was hospitalized for 8 days. I have informed delivery with the post office and saw a picture on 4/25 that there was a piece of mail being delivered that day on 4/25 and it looked like computershare envelope. Again I was in hospital while this occurred and asked my mom to retrieve the mail a few days later. This item wasnt in the box. Waited another day and called you. I was told i had to it for a copy of cancelled check and you would mail it then I had to file a police report. I have yet to receive this copy and have call every other day. These people in are extremely unhelpful and have no sense of urgency and just tell me to wait. This is my money and fraudently cashed. This has been going on for a month and unacceptable. They need to overnight me this copy and paperwork at this point. I need help getting this resolved.Business Response

Try to transfer my TTE (11 shares of a classic plan and 5 share of free share plan), they are charging a $30 fee PER plan for a total of $60, First this is ridiculous to charge a separate fee for each share when I acquired them in one transaction and need to pay a separate fee for moving each to another brokerage account. Additionally, I had to use my CC to pay the fee, which I find totally absurd.Business Response

I bought stock in Knightscope in the amount of $2000 on 26 Nov 2021 that was handled by Computershare. I then sold all Knightscope stock on 27 Dec 2022 at a loss of $1676.48 and received a deposit from Computershare of $323.52. When I received my ****-Bs from my stock sales in January this year, Computershare was the only ****-B I received not showing a loss from the sale of stock needed to report the loss on my taxes. The ****-B they sent simply showed the $323.52 as proceeds from the sale of stock and did not reflect the loss I had incurred. I have repeatedly contacted Computershare requesting a corrected ****-B and have repeatedly been told that the ****-B I received is all I am going to get. I am truly at a loss as to how other companies have been able to distribute ****-Bs with multiple stock losses on their forms and this company is unable to produce one on one stock loss in one year. To rate their performance and service at incompetent would first require an upgrade. I simply want a ****-B reflecting my loss of $1676.48 in the sale of the Knightscope stock on 27 Dec 2022.
