Attempting to reset the password to my Computershare account started in December and 8 weeks later, it's not been resolved. Computershare has chosen to do everything by snail mail AND will only proceed step by step as you call back and ask. Not only did I not receive a new temp password until January 8th, they never told me that the password reset tool also required a verification code that also would be sent by snail mail. Another 4 weeks passed and no verification code was received. I called back and got a supervisor to send me another activation code. It arrived 4 days later and did not work. I called Computershare and the only answer they had for me was to have a supervisor delete my account and start fresh. BUT.... I'd have to wait 7 business days before I create a new account (with my fingers crossed that my information would still be there). WHAT THE **** GOING ON THERE???? I've missed 2 months worth of opportunity to move the money to another up trending stock. This company needs to be investigated. On top of that, the customer assistants are hard to understand. They are likely not stateside.

I've been having a terrible time with this company. My mother died several months ago and I've been trying to get her stock. I don't have the account number. I've tried to access it with the information I do have but it won't let me access it.They said they mailed the information to me but they can only send it to her address. I've pointed that it will be returned (it was) and I had to try and forward to my address. But I was also told I need to request it by mail, and to do so I have to include a death certificate, a form with a gold medallion and to have it notartized. But to have it notarized, I need to have the account number. Also I've offered to send the death certificate by email but they refused, saying I have to send it by regular mail. I have no idea what to do. This has become incredibly time comsuming! I keep on getting told different things and I really need the money ASAP.

My wife passed away in March 2024 and had shares of *** stock that were never transferred to her married name. I sent the transfer forms Computershare required, my wife's death certificate, will, and court documents certifying me as personal representative to Computershare on December 11, 2024.Computershare called me to say they couldn't use the name of her trust as set up by my lawyers, and as shown on the *** Trust EIN# confirmation letter. I said I would have to contact my lawyer and get back to ******* lawyer's paralegal called Computershare on December 23, 2024, and they informed her that they understand the issue, it was too early to follow up and they would not answer any inquiries until their process was complete. The day before this call, I received a letter from Computershare saying these assets were going to be turned over to the state as unclaimed assets. Then I received a letter requesting me to complete the enclosed transfer documents, which were the same as the ones they already have. I had no issues with changing the name on her ****** ******* account to the name of her trust, or the name on some similar ******* stock to the same trust.I sent an email to *** ******** on January 7, 2025, who said she would turn this over to ***** *******, ************, to handle. ***** called me to verify the information on the forms I sent to them and told me about an additional $30 of shares in ***************/Discovery stock also in my wife's name and that she would process both. She then sent me additional forms to fill out. I called her back twice and emailed both her and *** ******** with questions about this on the same day and have not received a response from either one of them regarding my questions or the status of the *** stock transfer to my wife's trust. I tried calling ***** again today but received her voicemail again. This is complete incompetence or a scam. I sent them a check for $50 to complete the transfer plus incurred legal fees.

Hello - I have an existing Computershare ESPP account through a former employer. Because I no longer work there, I contacted Computershare (now Equate Plus) to transfer the money out and close the account. However, I can only transfer whole shares, not fractions. For the fractions, I need to cash out and they are charging an exorbitant 7% in fees to access my own money. I cannot close the account without either stranding about $900 or paying a 7% fee. I tried to ask for other solutions and they do not have any. I want to be able to access my own money without seemingly being punished for closing this account.

      RE:BBB Complaint ********, *************************************************

      Dear *** or Madam,

This is in response to the multiple BBB complaints filed by ****** ***** *** regarding this same matter, including the current complaint ********, (Complaint).

Based upon a review of the loan referenced in the complaint, we have determined that *********************, N.A. was trustee (****************) of the ***************************** Trust ****** (Trust), which in turn owned the mortgage loan secured by the property located at ************************************************* (Property). Throughout the relevant time period when the Trust owned the mortgage loan, it was serviced by *********************** and it was reported as liquidated in 2009.  Computershare Corporate Trust acts solely as agent on behalf of **************** as Trustee for the Trust and has only done so since November of 2021.  At no time has Computershare Corporate Trust had a business or consumer relationship with ****** ***** *** or to the above-referenced property.

Since 2016, Mr. ***** has made multiple allegations and filed several BBB complaints against *******************************, including case numbers ********, ******** re-contact, ********, ******** re-contact, and a 2nd re-contact on ********.  Additionally, he has filed 43 ************************************ complaints and directly contacted **************** via phone and email more than 77 times with complaints regarding the foreclosure and sale of the Property, all of which have been researched and could not be substantiated based on the mortgage loan servicers review of its records.

As described above, Computershare Corporate Trust has no current or past relationship to the loan or Property, and is not the appropriate entity to address any concerns relating to the loan. As such, we would respectfully request that any further inquiries from Mr. ***** on this topic be closed as duplicative, as there is no further relevant information to provide.

      1. Overcharging. Generally it costs less than a dollar to execute a trade. We have used other brokerages such as, Fidelity, ******* *******, etc... and the transaction fee is rarely over $0.50 for a liquid stock. As a plan administrator, Computer Shares charged a $25 service fee on top of the processing fee to liquidate a highly traded stock. 2. Lack of execution options. We could not place a limit order. Only a market or batch order.3. Untimely execution. Settlement is T+1 with any brokerage for a liquid stock trading on a major ***********. Settlement is literally more than a week before I saw the check.4. Verification Process. There seems to be only a limited way to verified identity. We mistyped one piece of information by one number (home address) and immediately locked out of the account and there is no way to reset, except for waiting for a piece of snail mail to arrive with a pin to reset. It's like ********************** Shares is trying to prevent legitimate owners from accessing and liquidating by making the verification process unforgiving to typo and limited ways to validate.5. The telephone support line is almost a phantom line and goes in circular. It took us hours to get through and speak with an agent. 6. Agents are certified for different programs? stocks? So we had to call multiple times into different service representative groups to get help for different shares that were granted through the same program. Tell me that something (many things) are off with this company's policies and protocols. I read ****** reviews and many expressed the same complains.
