It started with the online access. They said they needed to send a paper letter with the password reset. Except the temp password expired in 7 days but the letter arrived after 10. So after a few rounds of this it was finally resolved. Then every time I logged in the my new password didnt work or the stupid questions didnt work. Just a nightmare to access our account. Totally antiquated and inefficient processes. Its 2024, who sends user name/password resets by snail mail? Im old but I dont ever remember a company do that. I am currently trying to transfer my account out of computeshare and they are actively trying to make it as difficult as possible. *** got the medallion, gave them all the paperwork but then they needed something else and then something else and on and on. This place is so frustrating. They say they didnt receive the info and I would have to send again. 6 months so far. If I get to a year and my account is still there Im suingBusiness Response

Computer share manages stock for my mother, and we can't reach any representative even though they sent us a letter saying that we owe money for lost certificates when they took our original certificates (back in Oct 2021). Why are we just getting a response now, over 2 years later and why when we call, we get "full mailboxes" and when we call non US number and they try to transfer our call to US, it is not working number.Business Response

In late December, I spent 2 work day hours on the phone with Computershare receiving instructions on how to transfer several of my father's stocks to a new brokerage firm. My Dad is 95 years old, lives in a board and care, and has dementia. He has been relying on me to handle all of his affairs since 2021. I have ***** of ******** for all of his affairs. I was asked to send a letter of instruction along with my dad's power of attorney, and a letter from his attorney stating that the *** was in full force dated within 60 days of Computershare receiving my letter of instruction. I did this in late January and asked Computershare to remove stops on 3 accounts that remain at this brokerage. I waited and nothing happened. The stocks are still not able to be transferred to Northwestern Mutual despite my letter and attachments. When I called Computershare again on Friday- again using precious work hours to do so- the representative told me I needed to repeat the previous process, but this time get my letter notarized and to send it to a different address than the letter I had sent previously. Of course, now, the letter that my Dad's attorney issues is greater than 60 days past its issuance so now I will need to pay additional attorney fees to have another letter written if I really need to go through all of this. I feel that I have been treated unfairly and am due compensation. I am my dad's only remaining immediate relative (no siblings or spouses) and with every new thing that Computershare requires me to do it is costing me money and time and it is putting my dad's care at risk since he completely relies on me to pay for his care and needs at his board and care. And some of this financial aide comes from the stocks he still has at Computershare.Business Response

I have been attempting to complete a transfer of assets from a custodial account to an individual account for about 4 weeks. I have obtained all necessary documentation but I a question on the form before I can send it in. I have emailed the company twice (March 11 and March 18) and I have not received a response as of today (March 22).My complaint is that it is impossible to communicate with the offshore customer service representatives. The connection is inaudible. During one attempt I managed to communicate that I wanted to be transferred to a US based customer service agent. The person said please hold. The "transfer" was a phone ringing for more than 20 minutes before I hung up. I attempted to call the company corporate office based in *************, but my call was again routed to an offshore rep who was inaudible and appeared to disconnect. I would like to have my question answered so that I can complete transfer of assets to my now adult child.Business Response
