2 starsI purchased a purse from the Oakbrook Illinois location. This location was an hour away from my home. I never had a problem with the purses in the past. The strap broke at about 60 days after my purchase. I went to a nearby store that refused to accept the purse. I went to the original store that stated it was too late to return the purse. I contacted customer service which is an extremely hard process to get to an actual person. They said that they would send an email which didnt come until I made another phone call. I received the email & sent pictures of the purse. I didnt receive a response so I followed up with a phone call. The rep said wait another 2 days - no response. 1 starI made a purchase at the store in Kennesaw GA on June 27, 2023 of a 20" 12mm Miami Cuban Link chain with round CZ stones for $49.99. I didn't initially think that it was a bad price. NOTE: the chain is brass with with gold plated. Anyhow it wasn't sterling silver or white gold. I've made several purchases from TJ Maxx over the years of jewelry and have never had an issue. I wore this necklace 4 times, which the 4th time was on Friday, August 11, 2023. Needless to say, I had my wife assist me in putting on the chain. She noticed that the chain was turning bronze and 1 of the stones had falling out. So on today, Aug 16th was my first opportunity to return to the store. Posted is a sign directing to the purchase area which indicates the same as return. There were about a good 20 people inline. After a 30 min or so wait. I get to the cashier, she says jewelry return is in the jewelry department. There is no identifier of that what so ever. The sales clerk who sold me the chain assisted me, stated, wow!! After viewing, her exact words were, well if you wear it, it's expected to turn, and if you bump against something the stones will fall out. I was flabbergasted!! They offer me a store credit only. I declined and asked for a manager. She expressed that she understood but the system wouldn't allow to give a refund beyond 30 days. I telephoned corporate complaints. The person that I spoke with agreed, and said the policy doesn’t even allow a credit on jewelry after 30 days. What a failed purchase. Several online stores is offering the exact same quality of the chain for $19 to $29. With warning, no water, beach, perfume, lotion etc; I'm so disappointed in TJ Maxx, it's as if I purchased jewelry from a street hustler ?? ?? ??Review fromAnthony M

1 star@ HomeGoods New Milford,CT yesterday and came across 3 identical black 2 planter standing planters. One was $8, one was $9 & $12. I take the $8 & $12 and go to the register and before I let the associate ring up the items I point out the price difference. She gets the M.O.D. I explain abt the price difference. He says that he just got done pricing the 3 planters and bc of when they came into the store (June,July,August) that’s why their prices $8,$9,&$12. That makes ZERO sense at all. He tried to explain this away to me and there was no way possible to make this make sense. I say “so if I go to Foot Locker and grab 2 pairs of Nike AirMax and bc of when they came into the store I have to pay more for the exact same shoe?” SMH no way! If I’m wrong here please explain this to me?!

1 starI spent $40 on linen shirt; it got faded on random spot only a week wearing it; winners accused me to use bleach and lie about poor quality of fabric…customer service in store tells me I should not use perfume or Sun screen because causing the colour get faded!!! TJX customer service accused me using bleach!!!
So this store is only fraud and people are wasting their money . I asked regional manager to call me but only one customer service name Diana ( probably robot) answers my emails!Review fromEMR R

1 starI’m going on a trip and paid for expedited shipping for a small suitcase— per their website it would be at my house within 3-4 business days, which was plenty of time before my trip. On the third day it still had not shipped so I called and requested they would cancel the order, since I would have to purchase one elsewhere. The customer service rep apparently had the ability to cancel my shipment, but refused to do so based on an internal policy, even though they were not upholding their end of the transaction. I’m not a big fan of TJ Maxx, but I definitely won’t be back after this! Don’t shop here. It’s ****** faulty products anyway.Review fromVivian A

1 starIf I could give this company a 0 I would, I have so many other credit card with much high balances between $2000 - $500 this little rinky dink card double charged me for a payment. And I could not get any of their customers reps that spoke English will enough to understand what I was talking about. So I call my bank to stop pay the double posting that if it wouldhave cleared, was more then the balance i owed. Then I called them to make the one payment and the had the account all messed up, the credit the money back in a check, then the supervisor said the mailed me a check that I never got. I tried to explain to the that the bank made error and was willing to write them a Letter with an explanation. Onec again They did not understand what I was talking about. And closed the little $100 credit line witch I was going to do anyway. There cheap quality merchandise is over priced, you can get the same items at ROSS OR WALMART for a much better price ??! The even one time put the keys to there store in my daughter bag with her merchandise. They are so lucky we are honest people and returned them. Glad to said bye to the worst store ever! 1 starNo stars, Ordered May 9th. Received notification in June package delivered. No package received. Made contact and they ask if I would sign for another package they would send. I agreed. Received notifiction on 6/19 the second package was delivered. NO package received again. They tried to tell me my address was incorrect which it is not. Now they tell me they have lost money and can only refund 60% of my total order. Dont order from this company I think they are fraudulent in sales. Good thing it was not a lot of money. 1 starIf I could give negative stars I would. I have been an avid customer of tjmaxx/ Marshall's for many years. I have a Tj Maxx Mastercard, it has a $1000 limit until I paid it off in full, at which point they lowered my limit to $100 without notification. They have been unable to explain how or why my limit was decreased. When calling I get different reasons each time from I don't know why to well you didn't use your card much for 4 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor, his name was Dwight. He told me there was no one above his position I could speak to, which was a lie. He disconnected my call so I could not do the survey. Upon calling back I was told you can't do a survey on a manager nor on the company only the first customer service representative you speak to. My credit score, amount used and payments on time are far far better now than they were when I had a $1000 limit, yet they won't up my limit so I can receive the rewards for using said card at the store. I've looked into the company and they have a 1.7 star rating on credit karma, I belive they have this rating only because you have to at least give them 1 star in your review. They deserve no stars at all, in my opinion negative stars. They are effecting peoples credit scores negatively and don't care. The worst customer service I've ever encountered. As long as you're broke and have a hard time making payments and they get the high interest rates and late fees from you it's fine, as soon as you pay off monthly and on time they drop your limit. Predatory for sure, DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD, you will regret it. It's so bad I want to stop shopping at the stores which is so sad. 1 starDISSAPOINTED with TJX credit card. I was a card member for YEARS in my 20's but cancelled it. We started to use it again this past year. We were traveling and the card was declined at the hotel and restaurant etc. I called and they wanted me to email them a picture of my face to prove it was me trying to use my own card when I hadn't called them regarding fraud. I said absolutely not and that I would close it. They said no worries- keep using it. I have had 15 times of it being declined cause they said they were making sure of no fraud. This past time, they sent a card with the wrong exp date (their fault) and declined my current card and said in 10 days I would have a new one- two different workers. The girl just said she was sorry many times but couldn't do anything to help me. I asked for the manager above her and she told me that it wouldn't do much but she could transfer me. She said the recently mailed card and my current card both won't work anymore but there is another one coming that I would need to use when it arrives in 10 days. I use it daily and was about to destroy them both because she and another girl the previous day both told me to throw them away. I finally got the manager-It turns out they changed the exp date and sequence number (but really they chip inside) and needed to send a new one. Who cancels a card before the new one is activated? They also sent a letter they retracted saying thanks for activating your new card. (when we had not) they said it was in error. He actually said the recently mailed one works until the new one comes in 10 days- I balked and he credited me 30.00 for trouble on my account. (wow) a whole 30 dollars for having to re-order all the orders they cancelled at their own fault. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!Review fromShelley M

1 starI logged into my account today, 05.13.2023, and accessed one of my two credit cards ending in 0737, a regular store account. Once I had completed my payment, I attempted to switch accounts and was prompted to add a new credit card number to activate the account.
However, I have never received a replacement card for either of these accounts.
I then phoned the credit card service phone number and spoke with a representative who did not understand any of what I was asking for assistance with. He could not tell me if there had been any purchases on the card that was missing, he was not able to grant me access to the account so I could review them on my own, and he was confused about the payment information he was reviewing.
He then canceled the wrong account.
This was when I asked to speak with a supervisor, Lynn. She, too, was not very able to support my requests.
During the call, she asked for my full account numbers by phone, thus far, this process had felt highly unusual.
She then proceeded to cancel both cards at my request.
I asked her to read back all of the transactions for the new card that was missing.
She took a very long time to assist and then disconnected the call.
I then phoned the fraud department to resolve issues and spoke with Hana.
She was rude and abrupt, very casual about the entire situation, and unable to assist in any way.
I phoned again with the same issues, an overseas agent, Shawn, and Vincent, requesting a full social security number and the entire credit card number.
