I cancelled my membership with BJ"s in April 2024 due to poor service. I disposed of my BJ's card and the credit card they issued as Master Card but I am billed for renewal of membership as CapitalOne. Callled credit card was told they could only dismiss charge of $55.00 membership charge if BJ's contacted them. Called BJ's customer service was told they would escalate gave me claim #*******. I am still being billed it is up to $85.32 for deliquent payment. Called BJ's customer service given clain #*******. They would escalate . I have excellent credit and now with this deliquent charge I am very upset. I am 89 years old live alone and do not know what to do.Thank YouBusiness Response

I placed an order online with a bjs wholesale ***resentatives for a microwave thats in stock I let the *** know I wanted to pick it up and that it had a pick up window from 2:00pm -3:00 pm I called the store at 2:45 they said they couldnt find the order I called back they said to come to the store someone was working on the order now when I arrived they said they couldnt find than they said it was being shipped I should receive my order by 4 pm. Here it is 6:35 pm no microwave so I called online back hes telling me if I have an issue to wait till tomorrow morning or cancel it either way I would be waiting 4-5 business days that an inconvenience for meBusiness Response

I was sold pastries with green mold sickening me and my wife. I returned the item having to drive 20 minutes I asked the employee falsely stating she was a manager and she said get what you want from the deli department when I was exiting they blocked me which is considered kidnapping they then grabbed one of the boxes from my hand injuring my finger which is assault treating me like a criminal by their employees that think they can assault customers!!!Business Response

BJs has no way of scanning your member number at the gas pump if you dont have your physical membership card. Also you cannot pay with the attendant for your gas even if you show your physical member number from your account, payments must be cash only. This is unacceptable and inconvenient ill get it after waiting in line for 20 minutes with small children only to be turned away as a paying member. This is a problem of a systemic breakdown within the company. My case has been ongoing since April and I have had no resolution. Ive submitted two tickets with support, conversed through multiple emails and still no resolution. In early April my membership was charged and never activated. I May I was forced to purchase a second membership because I needed to shop at the store. In July the membership stopped working. *** had to dispute the first charge with my bank, produce documents and statements from my accounts to your customer support team and membership department. I have requested that someone with authority call me back with no avail. A breakdown within the company appears to have caused these multiple issues. First the membership activation after paying for the membership on your website. I paid through Apple Pay on the website while logged into my account and my membership was never renewed. I sent emails back and forth for almost 2 months and it could not be resolved. The support service kept stating that the $100.00 had been refunded which is not correct. A case a fraud on my initial easy pay caused this confusion. No transaction went through. Membership paid for in late may through the bjs app with an order worked until recently (July 20th) and now is asking for another renewal. At this point *** spent more time than what the membership is worth. I want a call from someone who has authority to fix the process related problems and can speak with a member in their finance department. I will elaborate more and provide more detail needed when I am contacted by someone. I do not appreciate having to provided my financial statements over email and a non secure link.Business Response

On August 3, 2024 at 7:29pm I purchased a propane tank refill from the BJs store No. 108. However, when I arrived at the refill station, ***** would not refill my tank. Rather, he told me to get back in my car, go back into the store, and get a refund then come back the following day. He said it was after hours and I shouldn't have been sold the refill - which is ridiculous considering it was their employees fault for even selling me a propane refill if I couldnt get it refilled. I drove back to the store and spoke to someone claiming to be management named ****. **** insisted that I come back the following day for a refill even after admitting that she had a key to the propane station and that the cashier shouldn't have sold me the refill. She claimed to not be trained on how to use the refill station which is either a lie or grossly negligent on the part of BJs as that could be a safety hazard having a sole manager on duty who is not familiar with how all parts of store function.Nonetheless, I offered **** two suggestions: 1) fill my tank now and keep my money or 2) give me a free refill the following day for wasting my time as a result of now 3 poorly trained employees. She shouted at me Im not giving you anything and that I would have to come back tomorrow, a Sunday, when the store is packed with church goers and the day right before TS ****** was due to hit. I had food on the grill that needed to finish cooking and a family at home waiting, so I had to go to ******* across the street to buy even more propane.It is extremely insulting to long time, paying members to tell them sorry we made a mistake but please inconvenience yourself because we won't take responsibility for our own actions." Moreover, I wrote to BJ's about my concern and was told this was unaccepatable and that someone would contact me in three days. That was five days ago and still no contact.Business Response

I was charged by BJS for a membership that i did not want. I called them up to cancel the membership and they told me it was cancelled. I noticed I didn't get a refund. The payment is routed through ****** and when I called ****** they indicated they got a transaction to refund from BJS'. So then I called BJS and was told that the refund was issued but it takes BJS three week to rev *** these transactions. So then i used the chat feature and was told that ****** takes 2-3 weeks to refund and they already sent... but this not true because ****** did not receive a refund. I filed a dispute with ******. There seems to be no way to file a formal complaint with BJS other this forum. Please help in getting a refund because I need every cent I have. this is humiliating but it is the truth. I authorized a purchase for $409 for a BJ's order on 08/02/2024- which the business charged to my debit card. Monday, August 5, 2024, my card was ADDITIONALLY charged $421. BJ's customer service keeps claiming the $421 is a pre-authorization charge that will supposedly be refunded to my account. As of today, my money has NOT been returned to me.Business Response

I purchased a refrigerator at BJs Wholesale in ******, ** on January 15, 2024 for $276.24. The refrigerator had issues right away . My wife was pregnant at that time and we were busy with a lot of doctors appointments. I went back to the store to return within 30 days they refused and said call the manufacturer. That is against their store policy . You can return anything item within ***** days. The customer service there was more concerned about the drama that was going there with an employee then helping me. I am very upset. We are breastfeeding our baby and my wife can't even store the baby's milk in this refrigerator. I went home threw all the receipt away and I wanted to call their corporate because what they did is outrageous but I thought is not worth if they treat me like that me as a long time member , following their policy to return a defective item , why would the corporate care? I called my credit card service to find the date of the purchase for this item and I thought I would give it a try , maybe this time it will work and I will get my money back so I can buy a working refrigerator for my family. This refrigerator is very hot to touch and the food is not maintained in the right cold temperature.
